14/03/2026: In the medieval streets of Montpellier's historic center, this restaurant, with its Gothic vaulted dining room and small outdoor area, is very welcoming. The menu was a bit complicated to understand with its star system. The manager came to explain it to us, but since we weren't familiar with this star system based on the number of courses chosen, we didn't quite grasp it. And that's where all the magic and joy of dining in this otherwise excellent restaurant disappeared… Mademoiselle (let's call her that) made it very clear that we hadn't been listening properly and that if we "listened carefully," she said politely, but with a tone that, once again, implied we would understand better if we did… anyway! Not being as foolish as we seemed… we chose our menu, knowing that this wasn't our first Michelin-starred restaurant and we're more used to having helpful waiters ready to explain things several times if necessary! For what it's worth, my stepdaughter had already visited this restaurant in 2025 and had also encountered this rather unfriendly head waitress. The experience remains unique in terms of gastronomy: delicious, meticulously prepared, and worthy of a Michelin star! To add insult to injury: before we were hooked, the waitress rubbed salt in the wound with, "Despite your confusion when reading the menu, did you have a pleasant experience?" This was the last straw. A restaurant of this caliber shouldn't end on such a sour note with its customers and leave them with a less than enjoyable experience. As a result, we all left the restaurant not talking about the delicious dishes we had tasted, but rather about the overall customer experience. Nevertheless, I must emphasize that the rest of the staff were very professional and pleasant.

19/04/2026: My family and I ate there, and the experience was disappointing. The place is small and cramped; we were practically sitting next to our neighbors at the next table, and it was very noisy. The staff weren't particularly friendly, except for one young man whom I thank. The galettes were bland and tasteless. Being from Brittany, I've never eaten galettes like that. I had to add salt and pepper, which is unthinkable. The only positive point: the desserts. I think you should go there just to try them, but that's about it. Disappointed with this experience.

18/04/2026: Kreisker crêperie is one of, if not the best, crêperies in Montpellier. The crêpes are delicious and generous, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a good crêperie in Montpellier!

21/05/2026: The manager is extremely friendly and funny, as are the staff! He's always ready to help out when you want to have a drink! I highly recommend this fantastic and quirky bar if you want to laugh and soak up the sun. The food is very good and plentiful! The tapas are delicious and well-presented.

10/06/2026: DO NOT STAY HERE. We were not expecting much given the bad Google reviews and the low cost (although still close to €100 a night). But the unthinkable happened: around 9:30am someone opened our room door without knocking. We were absolutely stunned and the cleaning person didn’t even apologise or anything, they just closed the door back and left. Plenty of other choices in the city — don’t waste your time here.

06/06/2026: I don't understand why the rating is so low. The hotel has been completely renovated, the rooms are spacious and clean, there's a dressing room, and an entrance vestibule that isolates you from the noise of the hallway and bathroom. The beds are comfortable. The location is perfect for anyone wanting to explore the city; it's right in the city center, next to Polygone shopping center, and the Place de la Comédie parking lot is just steps away. The breakfast is simple but excellent. I recommend this hotel; it deserves a higher rating.

24/03/2026: A major drawback of this hotel: the room doors either don't lock or are very difficult to lock even after being manipulated by staff at our request. This is unsettling; fortunately, we weren't robbed. The hairdryer was broken, and they offered to lend us one as compensation. However, the room was very spacious and comfortable. The staff were very kind and attentive. Good location.

01/06/2026: Very disappointed by the quality and quantity of the dishes: undercooked sea bass, pumpkin, agnolo, a tiny portion of pear for dessert, shredded beef... there were four of us for dinner last night and we were disappointed considering the price! Only the setting met our expectations.

12/05/2026: Very disappointed by This Au Bureau restaurant in Montpellier We came as a group to celebrate a birthday, mainly because the sign advertised a daily special: "duck breast with fries for €12." We chose this for our birthday because we wanted to treat ourselves. We arrived around 11:30 am when the restaurant was almost empty, with only a few tables occupied. Despite this, we waited a long time before being served. When we asked for the advertised daily special, we were told it was already sold out. This seems difficult to understand given the time and the small number of customers. I pointed out to the waiter that this gave the impression of misleading advertising. I then ordered fish and was served breaded fish, without this being clearly stated. The dish arrived cold, the fries were lukewarm, and the salad was wilted. In my opinion, the prices are excessive compared to the quality of the food and service. I really don't recommend this restaurant. But we won't be going back here.

09/06/2026: This is my first time at this bakery. I bought two specialty breads (I tried one tonight, it was amazing, excellent!) It's the first time I've ever tasted such good bread. I can't remember the name, but it was a fairly dark round loaf. The cakes are beautifully presented, a bit pricey in my opinion. I'll buy some next time to see. The service was fine, nothing special. Overall, I recommend this bakery for the bread.

28/05/2026: I bought a tuna salad today; the ingredients were fresh. But unfortunately, there was Roquefort cheese in my salad, and that wasn't what was listed on the label!

19/05/2026: 1:35 PM May 19, 2026 It would be nice to have a polite greeting after taking payment, namely "thank you and goodbye." You've lost a regular customer. What a shame! From now on, I'll go to the bakery 50 meters away. Unacceptable.

28/03/2026: I like to try the local chocolate when I travel but thought the chocolate was overly sweet at both shops I visited, so I was very happy to see Pralus bars in the window here and picked up some Colombie and Mélissa, enough to tide me over until my next stop. They had a nice selection of coffee pods as well.

30/12/2025: If you want to taste the best coffee in Montpellier, you should try Bibal. High-quality coffee, rich in flavor, with a variety of coffee blends. I've tried many coffees, and Bibal is one of the best.

24/05/2026: Fantastic restaurant!! Delicious crepes, fast service. Incredible experience! We recommend it 1000%!!! (and we'll be back to try everything on the menu)

29/05/2026: It's rubbish for what it is, unfortunately, considering the prices. The tenders are never cooked properly, the white sauce has a strange taste. In short, avoid it.

13/05/2026: The kebab and meat were tasty, the portions were generous for an affordable price, I recommend it.

24/05/2026: A quick stop at a small restaurant after the cinema, straight to Hippopotamus for its reputation for good meat. The service was fast and efficient, however, the famous Irish hanger steak, "the tastiest cut," was really not good at all. It had no flavor, was incredibly stringy, and impossible to cut. The meat and fries arrived lukewarm, and the fries were soggy and undercooked. My friend and I were very disappointed. After complaining to the very friendly waiter, the management generously (!) gave us a 10% discount, but only on that dish, making it €2.50. Never again!

18/05/2026: Very busy and it takes a long time to be served. Simple but good food.
