Pizzas from the day before…
11/11/2025: The lady was unfriendly, we felt like we were bothering her.
We asked for a traditional bread and were sold something else entirely, which was not traditional at all, especially since it was bad, dry, and tasteless. Go a few streets away; the bread is better there, as is the service.

18/01/2026: Passing through Saint-Malo in August 2024, we stopped at Café de Saint-Malo despite the rather inclement weather. Rain and wind were definitely on the agenda!
We enjoyed a delicious plate of shrimp, had a drink, and finished with a coffee.
The welcome was truly warm and the service attentive despite the crowds and gloomy weather. A great place to remember for a tasty break in the streets of Saint-Malo, with a Parisian brasserie feel!
08/01/2026: The value for money is excellent, but the wait for the first course was far too long, especially considering the restaurant wasn't busy. The waiter was very kind and friendly. We would have appreciated a quick clean of our table after the seafood platter. The restrooms could use a refresh and a good cleaning.

16/09/2024: nous avons réservé samedi soir entre 19 h /19H30 nous sommes arriver dans les temps au bout d une demis heure elles nous ont donner la carte du restaurant on a commander les pizzas que l on voulait .On attendu 1 heure toujours pas servie et on a demander si elle nous avait pas oublié la réponse qu elle nous à faite " ils a beaucoups de pizza à emporter et nous à répondu qu ils fallait encore attendre Les voisines qui étaient à coté de nous attendaient aussi depuis 30 mn elles sont parti et nous ont à fait pareil . A quoi sert que l on réserve notre place et après on commande ce que l on voulait mangé sur place il a fallu attendre 1H 35 et toujours pas servi et ceux qui ont commander les pizza à emporter servi avant nous chercher l erreur .Nous allons habituellement manger là bas et très déçu on ira ailleurs
06/09/2024: Went for dinner twice, pizzas were great, andouille was tasty, wine was tasty...however the wok with fresh vegetables was actually just fresh vegetables, without a wok...incorrect description of the dish I think...and there Some bread was coming, but it was never delivered again...a bit disappointed after the 1st experience

23/11/2025: Impeccable welcome and impeccable service. The waitress was attentive, competent, and very pleasant. We had a wonderful time!
18/11/2025: The mussels were half empty. You don't pay the amount listed on the menu; you get a set menu with a main course, dessert, and drink. At the end, the waitress announces that dessert is extra without any explanation. Never again.

26/09/2024: Cadre authentique, accueil attentionné, table joliment dressée, belle carte et bon choix de produits de la mer, prise de commande rapide, service avec le sourire, extrême fraîcheur des huîtres (non triploides) et de l'araignée (copieuse), verre d'entre deux mers très bien, je recommande la glace au blé noir. Addition raisonnable et justifiée au vu de la qualité. Merci à une amie Malouine de nous avoir recommandé l'adresse.
19/09/2024: La scelta del ristorante nella città vecchia di Saint Malò è ardua, vista la concorrenza. Abbiamo scelto l'Ancrage e mi sento di consigliarlo.
La sala è carina e quieta e il servizio veloce e cortese. Abbiamo preso un menu a 30 euro che prevedeva un piatto di frutti di mare non abbondante, ma fresco e gustoso, e un ottimo merluzzo cucinato con una salsina esotica al cocco. Buon rapporto qualità prezzo.

The decoration and service were great!
The meal was good, maybe not letting the customer put their own butter in a sugar butter?
If possible, can you give the origin of the wine in a pitcher?
For the rest it was very pleasant!

31/03/2024: Very cold atmosphere, not a hello, the boss spilled water on my wife, not even an apology, we ordered hot chocolates, cold drinks, 6 pancakes, we had to eat at 2 separate tables because the boss you put the tables back in place because the waiters had moved the tables together so that they were together, not a word. Crepes served cold, crepes with butter and a little butter left out.
Asked for not a hot chocolate you would get half a chocolate, the portions were all different.
Even the customers on the terrace told us that he would not come back.
Frankly, avoid it, last year my wife ate there for her bachelorette party, it had nothing to do with it. The boss was very nice. I don't understand, probably a change of owner because two different opinions.
We prefer the first experience....
We won't come back.

11/06/2024: Beyond bad, mussels reheated, dry and smelt like urine, massive over charge on a small beer, obviously how they make up the money on set menu (10 euros). It was really sad as we came here on the last evening of our holiday, we had such a lovely experience in all other restaurants visited, thus one was beyond awful. Do not waste your money!
08/05/2024: Very disappointed... Too much waiting... Only frozen... Molds almost all empty... No dessert because we waited 40 mins... don't overdo it, we won't wait any longer to get our damn dessert !! To flee ! Having subsequently fallen ill...

30/08/2024: It's worth mentioning right away that the waitress refused to speak English, which I would now expect in a holiday resort where everyone has English at school in France. She was very unfriendly, water and glasses were simply left out without comment.
The pizza was very tasteless and burnt at the bottom.
We didn't even ask if we wanted something to drink, she cleared the plates and took the bill
brought.
Not all very customer friendly.

23/09/2024: Cuisine excellente, personnel accueillant.
Nous nous sommes présentés vendredi soir en voyant la choucroute de la mer en plat du jour mais hélas le restaurant était complet. Voyant notre déception la patronne nous a proposé de la prendre à emporter et de la déguster au bord de la mer devant le coucher de soleil. Vraiment une très bonne adresse. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir

23/07/2024: Just the best. We were unfortunately late but the staff were charming. In 3 weeks in France our best meal. Looked beautiful and tasted better. My tomato de Lupin starter was to die for. Highly recommend.
29/06/2024: Excellent restaurant, creative and friendly. The boss has gold in his hands and imagination to spare. Always surprised by my plate and that's what I look for in a good restaurant.
I really love it, I always come back to it with enthusiasm. The interesting wine list matches the cuisine and the recommendations suggest very nice pairings.
Top notch service.

25/08/2024: Déjeuner du 21/08/24,
L'accueil est correct sans plus, service un peu en dent de scie, serveuse qui va souvent en cuisine demander comme si quelque chose était comme "grippé" dans l'organisation.
Les crêpes étaient bonnes mais manquaient un peu de quantité sur les garnitures surtout au vu des tarifs pour moi relativement cher... même plus qu'intramuros : presque 14 euros les 75 cl de cidre en bouteille un record durant notre séjour en Bretagne de 5 jours.
En conclusion : bon mais assez cher pour moi.
23/08/2024: Nous avons été très déçus de notre visite. J’avais commandé une crêpe aux Saint-Jacques avec fondue de poireaux. La fondue de poireaux s’est avéré être une fondue d’échalotes (d’après le patron) et il n’y avait pas de poireaux. Les coquilles Saint-Jacques étaient trop cuites. L’attente était interminable et les plats arrivaient pas en même temps. L’ambiance était particulièrement pesante car toute la salle attendait son plat depuis un long moment. Nous sommes partis sans prendre de dessert tellement l’attente a été longue pour les plats, juste pour des galettes…. Malgré la sympathie du patron, nous ne reviendrons pas et nous ne conseillons pas.

29/08/2024: A tiny little restaurant that my partner, our 6-year-old daughter, and I tried because the Google reviews were good, and frankly, we loved it!! I had the Breton sausage rougail; it was so delicious you could lick the plate clean. The staff were super friendly. I highly recommend it! We plan to come back next year to the Saint-Malo area, and we'll definitely eat there again. Thank you to the whole team! 😊
26/08/2024: This quiet little restaurant was a wonderful find! The dishes are homemade, which is rare these days! We had a pollock casserole and a perfectly grilled sirloin steak. A special mention goes to the Camembert sauce!
The staff provided a very warm welcome. We highly recommend it!
