11/04/2026: My wife and I have been here three times and we’ve always gotten the buffet. There are very limited choices on the buffet and the sterno flames beneath the trays don’t keep the food warm. They seem to try very hard to not put much food out so the trays are often empty or near empty. Also, the man that runs the place is not friendly. The last time we went, three of the warming flames had gone out so the food was refrigerator cold. That was the last straw, so we won’t be back.

28/02/2026: We went for dinner today and the service was excellent. We enjoyed the food, and the restaurant was very pleasant, with a reasonable number of customers.

23/12/2025: Best Pakistani restaurant in the area, truly! The dishes are excellent, and the naans too. Very warm welcome. I highly recommend it.

19/05/2026: This was the worst home delivery experience I've ever had. The dish was truly awful: the texture was bizarre, with an extremely chemical taste and unbearable acidity. It was immediately obvious that it was a product prepared well in advance and of poor quality. To top it all off, the presentation was appalling, and there was hardly any meat. It was frankly disgusting and impossible to finish. I strongly advise against ordering from here. I don't understand how this establishment can still be offered on delivery platforms. Don't waste your money, run away!

21/05/2026: A very pleasant evening at Basmati. The restaurant was very clean. The staff were friendly. The food was very good. We will definitely return.

17/05/2026: Order placed through Deliveroo. Everything was awful. The naan was dry and had no filling, the food was tasteless, lacked seasoning, and was watery, the lentils in the dahl were undercooked and therefore indigestible—and the dishes were served without any garnish. It's been a long time since I've been the victim of such a culinary scam, and the positive reviews can't be from humans with taste buds—they must be robots. Avoid them like the plague.

26/02/2026: Ordered the lunch menu with chicken curry, no vegetables on the side. The dishes served had no taste of Indian or Sri Lankan cuisine. The chicken pieces weren't even cooked. Don't waste your money... avoid at all costs...

10/02/2026: Excellent, generous, and flavorful cuisine with a warm welcome and quick service. However, when it came time to pay, the cashier asked me, "Cash or direct payment?" To which I replied, "I'll pay by card," and he finally said, "Okay, not here." I didn't understand. Otherwise, everything was excellent; I highly recommend it.

03/06/2026: We opened the door to a very empty restaurant tonight.... Really wasn't 100% sure but they are the only Indian restaurant in the high street, and the reviews were good. We were really pleased with our decision. Lonely food and great host. It's not a swanky restaurant, but it's honest and good value. I would recommend. Oh and by the time we left, it was full! Says it all.

08/05/2026: Conveniently located on a shopping street in Le Touquet, this Indian restaurant offers an extensive menu of Indian specialties (eat in or take away). The service was very friendly, and the food was fresh and not too greasy, which is worth mentioning! I'd gladly return!

03/05/2026: The woman in charge (always unsmiling, usually wearing a black face mask) insisted that a table for two I requested is reserved (I don’t think they take reservations but it was clear she was lying). And of course I got to watch it remain empty during my entire meal, sitting sandwiched between 2 groups. Other nice tables became available, as I came in for a late lunch, so there was never a problem of space. On the way out I pointed to the table and said she could have let me sit there. She said in a rude manner that those who reserved probably had a transport problem, she doesn’t know, doubling down on her lie. She’s a bad manager, mean-spirited, and has no idea how to treat clients. The others who work there are kind and accommodating.

04/05/2026: Fantastic meal, very generous portions! We were able to take advantage of a 30% discount with TheFork! So the bill came to €54, including a complimentary rose liqueur. Highly recommended, but be warned! Reservations are essential, especially in the evening.

30/04/2026: Went to this place around 8:15pm on a Thursday, the restaurant only had 2 tables full (mostly empty). I asked for a cup of tea with milk and cardamom ($5,90 on their menu) and the ‘gentleman’ at the front basically refused to serve us, telling us to go to a cafe instead. When I pressed he tried to tell me they didn’t serve tea at all. When I showed him the menu he tried to tell me it’s NOT for takeout. I advise that we would like to sit/drink our tea there and he told us we needed to order a meal. Disgusting behaviour!

I'll ask for more chili next time. There are quite a few set menus, and the à la carte menu is fairly extensive. They also have Indian beer and Indian red/white/rosé wine (I only tried the beer, an IPA-style wine). The restaurant is a bit small, but it has a terrace. The dining room is clean, the chairs are a little worn, but it's still acceptable. The prices are reasonable for an Indian restaurant. ——— I tried the lamb madras and saffron rice.
