06/09/2024: Came to the restaurant late in the evening at about 10:00pm, quite a few customers dining and a nice bright atmosphere with a modern and informal ‘cafe’ setting. Staff are happy and attentive and the menu has enough variation and choice to please most tastes and pretences. A welcome cocktail on the house was a lovely surprise and a nice touch - My wife ordered a mixed starter platter food as a main course and I chose a chicken and lentil curry (along the lines of a Parsi ‘Dansak’ with a plain pilau rice). My wife’s starter arrived promptly and soon after my meal also came to the table (a little bit too fast for me to believe it was cooked with any detail or time ). Sadly, the first piece of chicken I cut into was cold so the food was sent back - it returned hot but the chicken was tough as though it had been re-heated, the sauce was thick and had an astringent taste as if spices had been added to it but not had time to cook in and mellow - tasted like a rushed base sauce had been added to but not properly cooked. My wife enjoyed her starters so they do some things well ! €17.50 for my curry without rice seems a lot to pay for ‘cafe’ style food ? From my experience today I can’t describe the curry as ‘restaurant’ quality but the prices are !? Shame, the staff are great and the atmosphere is good - I hope they can up their game ? (Suspicious of SO many 5 star reviews with 5 out of 5 for each category?)

27/08/2024: 5 stars because you can't give more! Conviviality, warmth, smiles... what a pleasure this authentic place with Marie and Alain at the helm. A great atmosphere (music and tapas), Pagnol-style anecdotes, expert knowledge of rugby and football, a service suitable for all ages, we ask for more... It lives up to its name: it really is THE café in Toulouse.

17/07/2024: Cleanliness is not at the expected level, I didn't like the meal. Unfortunately, I will not return to this restaurant.

11/07/2024: One of the best Punjabi/North Indian restaurants in the heart of Grenoble city. We had ordered shahi paneer, vegetable jalfrezi, vegetable paratha and mango lassi. They tasted delicious and reminded us of home. The service and ambience were great, and the owner was a kind gentleman.

30/09/2024: I usually order my pizzas here via the restomalin website. Unfortunately, the restrictions (for delivery) are starting to pile up: Closed Wednesday and Saturday. No more payment by card with the delivery person And recently: no more deliveries at all, only takeaway. Too bad because the quality/price ratio was perfect.

28/06/2024: Buongiorno or Namaste or Buongiornamaste? Definitely Delicious food and very accommodating staff. We went there almost at closing time and they were still serving us dinner. We had Curries, Samosas and Pizza. Everything was made fresh and tasted delicious. At first we were confused about the Italian/ Indian concept, but after tasting the food they definitely scored high at both cuisines. They accept all payment methods and do takeout.

30/07/2024: I recently tried the chicken and beef curry from Indian taste restaurant with my family. My experience was a mixed bag. The curry had a decent flavor, but it wasn't anything exceptional. Both the chicken and beef were a bit overcooked, making them tougher than I would have liked. The curry had a fair balance of spices, but it was spicier than we expected, especially since we asked for a mild version. This made it a bit challenging for our kid to enjoy. The chili chicken was unexpectedly sweet, which was a letdown as we were expecting a spicy dish. The dosa was also not good—it was soggy and lacked the traditional crispiness. The portion size was on the smaller side, which left us wanting a bit more for the price we paid. Additionally, when we asked for butter for our paratha, we were told that the restaurant didn't have any, which was surprising and a bit disappointing given it’s an Indian restaurant. On a positive note, the mango lassi was quite good, with a nice balance of sweetness and richness of mango. However, the vanilla shake was way too sweet for our taste. Overall, it was an average meal. While it wasn’t terrible, it didn’t stand out either. If you’re looking for a quick curry fix, it might be worth a try, but don’t set your expectations too high.
