09/08/2026: We've been enjoying our meals at Yamato for over 10 years. Out of curiosity, I read the negative reviews, and a good number of them are unbelievable. The portions are decent, and the prices, despite all the price increases, haven't changed much in 10 years. The salmon is fresh, delivered every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. We moved to Grenoble 6 years ago, but we still come to Yamato. My favorite thing: when you eat the maki with chopsticks, the rice doesn't fall apart; the maki stays intact. Excellent Asian restaurant! ❤️

26/07/2026: I've been going there regularly for almost 10 years and I'm never disappointed. The quality is always there. Delivery times are always respected when you place an order. The owner is pleasant. I always enjoy placing my orders there (always for takeout, in my case).

23/06/2026: A great place to eat delicious sushi at a very reasonable price. The service is quick, and you can order the lunch specials in the evening for an additional €2. You can also order by phone and pick up your order in person, usually within 20 to 30 minutes.

05/03/2026: No possibility of customizing the menus, what a shame. The customer service clearly needs improvement.

17/06/2026: Excellent! I always order from there with my family because I live right next door and I've never been disappointed! The sushi is excellent, served in 15-20 minutes max. It's not even that expensive because compared to other sushi places in the same neighborhood where a plate of 12 sushi is €18, here it's €15-16. They're currently having phone problems; I hope it gets resolved quickly, but order on Uber Eats, I swear you won't be disappointed! 🥹

10/06/2026: The waitress wasn't friendly, she forgot to give me the wasabi, and when I asked for more ginger, they just served standard portions. There wasn't much sushi flavor. I didn't recommend it.

16/08/2026: We could not get inside, even though we bought tickets beforehand. Only because we were with a group of 4 guys

16/08/2026: Unfortunately we bought tickets for the saterday night. We came to the front door and we couldn’t get in. So, rude to tourists. We had high expectations about Lyon for the nightlife, but this was not the experience we hoped for.

29/06/2026: Excellent restaurant, it's been a long time since I've had such good sushi. The waiters and waitresses are super friendly, I'll definitely be back 😋

02/01/2026: Simply the worst all-you-can-eat sushi in Lyon. The welcome was surreal, the service nonexistent, and the food awful. I don't even want to try and find anything positive, it would be such a struggle. You leave feeling ripped off!

24/07/2026: Ordered through the Sushi Shop app. Never received my delivery. Every 12-15 minutes, the estimated delivery time was pushed back... after more than an hour of delay, my order was simply archived in the app, with no further delivery information. The delivery driver's help system indicated that the driver was "right next door"... what a joke. I called the Sushi Shop Jean Macé store, and of course, no one answered... pathetic. I was obviously charged for the order at this point... back to work without having eaten and frustrated by this absurd situation.
