14/10/2023: Magnifique lac volcanique, toujours sous surveillance car du type maar, donc phréatomagmatique et potentiellement explosif (son nom Pavin est tiré du  latin pavens, épouvantable). Sa profondeur de 82 m en fait le lac le plus profond de la chaîne des Puys. Il est de formation récente, de l'ordre de 6900 ans. C'est un lac méromictique, c'est à dire ne subissant pas de mélange des eaux plus profondément que 60 m, celles entre 60 et 92 m accumulant des gaz le gaz carbonique, l'azote, le méthane et le sulfure d'hydrogène, liés à la décomposition de la matière organique et qui lui confère une odeur nauséabonde.

Oustalu: dish of the day = filet mignon = top with its pepper sauce, its little ratatouille, its little eggplant fritters, and its little rice slope. Very good. The exterior would benefit from being less austere because it is more in line with the interior. THANKS .

19/03/2024: We were made very welcome and the service was quick. I had a vegetarian burger with a St Nectaire sauce (possibility of having it at Fourme d'Albert). The vegetable steak was very good, the fries are homemade and they were very well salted. We could smell the St Nectaire well and it wasn't too pronounced so it was very good. On the other hand, my mother-in-law couldn't finish her salad because there was too much cheese and Auvergne blue cheese (large pieces) so it quickly became disgusting. My father had a calf's head and unfortunately there was more fat than meat (maybe some like to eat it completely but for those who don't like fat, avoid it), potatoes with Steam on the other hand were good. For dessert my father had a crème brûlée with apple and chestnut liqueur, it smelled of apple but much less of chestnut but it was still good. My mother-in-law and I have an Auvergne coupe with vanilla ice cream, blueberries, coulis and whipped cream and it's good too. Overall I still recommend this restaurant 🙂 the dishes were not too expensive, we had some with 50cl of wine (pitcher) + a coke €79

13/03/2024: Just a downside for the swimming pool not heated enough compared to last year (February 2023)

10/03/2024: We spent 4 days with our 2 and a half year old boy and were very well received. The staff is pleasant, always a kind word. The restaurant's dishes as well as the breakfast are very good. The bedding is quality. There is a swimming pool but also a table football and a ping pong table available. It feels like home. We recommend.

03/04/2024: We had reservations for 2 people and we were served after several tables that came after us. 45 minute wait before ordering. We were not allowed the menu slate and we had the menu in paper format. For my part, great disappointment of the real cooked truffade being served in its pan, because it was burnt. My appetite was gone. We only had one dish and left unhappy.
