Ignoring the customers.
When I asked for a table to eat, the waiter spilled juice on me while other customers were clearing their table.
He stained my pants, shoes, and a designer handbag.
He told me to wait. And he just kept going without attending to me, without apologizing, and without offering me any help or anything to clean me up.
When I sought help from his colleague, he acted with the same indifference and didn't offer me the help I asked for or show any interest in me at any point.
Naturally, we left without ordering anything.

Negative points: Everything else.
Total wait time: 2 hours. One of the desserts had gone bad. The staff didn't appreciate us pointing out their mistakes (unusually slow service, expired dessert, and an error on the bill—the salad went from €5 to €15!). We received a rude response when we asked for a gesture of goodwill (which was granted) and when we showed them the error on the bill (which was refunded). That said, this is not the way to treat customers with legitimate criticisms that were expressed politely.
12/09/2026: We waited two hours, received a dessert that was past its expiration date (five people tasted it to confirm), and were verbally abused by the waiter when we paid (a €15 error on the till... he spoke to us like we were nothing when we were simply asking for a refund). There was absolutely no empathy or attempt at customer service; I have never experienced such poor service in a restaurant.

21/10/2025: Never seen anything like it. Nonexistent service, sloppy cooking, no consideration for the customer.
Scalding hot, overcooked, limp prawns, thrown unpeeled on two wilted salad leaves—it was supposed to be prawn salad. Seriously?
The kids' menu? An insult. Nothing good, everything is greasy and full of oil, not even the bare minimum.
We ended up laughing about it, but in hindsight: a sandwich bought in a bakery, facing the sea, would have been a feast compared to this.
Move on. There are much better options—everywhere else.
19/10/2025: Very disappointed... a sharing platter... or not! Only enough for one person for €19!
The monkfish tail with chorizo, cooked on the griddle, was burnt and tiny for €20.
The children's menu of chicken and fries... as well-cooked as the fish, which came with an ice cream stick.
€13... a bit steep! The table was wobbly and the chairs uncomfortable... despite having a reservation, we ended up with chairs and tables pushed aside (which is a shame). Luckily, the rosé was good! 🤣

11/07/2026: So… I might be lucky, judging by some of the reviews, but every time I go, I'm never disappointed! That said, I don't get sandwiches, bread, or croissants, so I can't comment on those, but their Basque cream cake is my absolute favorite! And I've tried quite a few… and the "Russian" cake is a delight, truly like the ones my Russian neighbors used to make when I lived with them a long time ago (but you have to like cream and hazelnuts 😉). All this at a very reasonable price.
11/07/2026: The welcome wasn't the warmest, but it was still acceptable. We ordered some specialty breads; they were good, but there was indeed a slight taste on the bottom of the loaf. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I'd say it was a mixture of yeast and old flour. A good cleaning or replacing the baking mats would certainly be necessary. It's a shame because otherwise, the breads are good.

16/09/2026: I recommend this establishment; we weren't disappointed. The waitress was professional, smiling, and pleasant. They offered suggestions every day.
16/09/2026: We stopped in Saint-Jean-de-Luz for lunch and didn't look around much. We went into this restaurant, two adults and two children. We ordered water, a small beer, and a Coke. They replaced the flat Coke with the exact same one. We saw them pour it from a large bottle.
We ordered the children's set menus. One was ham with white spaghetti, and the other was mussels marinara with the same pasta.
The set menu was €21.50. The chicken salad was tiny, and the main course was mashed potatoes with cod. They brought me a chicken leg as a starter, which wasn't what I had ordered.
And a plate of grilled baby squid—frozen and small. Awful!
I would never go back! And the bill was almost €80.
They took forever to bring the food.

I never comment, but this time I had to... a €15 salad, and the result was just overly vinegary green salad, topped with three tiny pieces of melon fighting each other with three cherry tomatoes and a few pieces of Serrano ham... it's a disgrace to charge that much, I feel like I haven't eaten anything... shameful to sell this!
03/09/2026: I don't recommend it. The waffle wasn't homemade, the ice cream was extra, and they were really stingy with the portion size. Their friendliness needs improvement; it's like they're bothering you. They talk about their lives and you have to wait before they even ask, "Do you need anything?"
I definitely don't recommend it.

Surprise comme quoi il ne faut pas toujours faire attention aux avis trop négatifs on y a mangé une délicieuse paella. Merci aux serveurs qui y sont vraiment très disponible et jovial.
07/09/2024: Tout bien ! Continuez comme ça ! Cuisine Basque traditionnelle, produits du terroir, bon rapport qualité /prix, service sympa. On reviendra.

06/07/2026: A beautiful and Romantic place to relax and cool off for a romantic escapade 💖. The view is sooo beautiful to behold all day from sun rise to sun set on the sea.
From their entrance door, they start taking off the stress from you by offloading your items from your car and then they go park it for you in the parking lot. The hotel is a five star hotel and spa. The hotel is just by the beach. Many fun things to do. Beautiful environment, delicious food, lovely treatments, quiet and neat environment. The welcoming is kingly. All the staff from the reception to the restaurant, bar, and spa section are so welcoming, nice, kind, respectful. They collect your car and go park it so you don't stress yourself. I enjoyed the spa care so much that I wished to return back soon. They made our special day super special with bouquet, flowers on the bed, on the furniture and toilet with a bottle of champagne. Their food from breakfast to dinner is so tasty and delicious. I will recommend this hotel to all, any day and any time and any event. A Nice place for family, couple, and single person.
A big "Thank you" to the management 🙏 of the hotel 💖🎖✨️👍😘.
24/05/2026: We had an amazing stay at this hotel! The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of us throughout our visit. The hotel was spotless, beautifully maintained, and the location could not have been better. Right on the beach with stunning views and easy access to everything. It was our second time back and the hotel has been newly renovated, which honestly was shocking as it was perfect two years ago. I’m We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway!

27/11/2024: Très cher très gras pas bon à 30 euros une assiette de riz sec avec de la poudre rouge en présentation c'est décevant. La seule chose à peu près correcte le menu enfant sauf que pas de sauce ppir les frites alors qu'au Mac do on a plusieurs choix. Ne parlons pas des desserts ça n'en vaut pas la peine. 2 adultes 1 enfant de 2 ans 95 euros ....
08/11/2024: Si vous souhaitez faire un régime par une gastro alors vous êtes au bon endroit ! Si non passez votre chemin ! IMMONDE !

15/09/2024: L'intérêt est l'emplacement face à la plage. Pour cela il faut réserver. Autrement dans la moyenne. 90 € pour 2 vin et café compris.
07/09/2024: Je recommande le menu à 22euros qui est correct avec une entrée plat et dessert ce restaurant a une jolie vue sur mer pour admirer le coucher de soleil.

Tout est très fin, bien présenté, juste succulent.
Le rapport qualité prix est vraiment excellent.
Le service impeccable.
... Et ils acceptent les tickets restos, ce qui ne gâche rien 😄
01/08/2024: Superbe découverte en se baladant dans les rues de saint jean. Une cuisine raffinée avec des bons produits très bien préparés, cuisinés et présentés, le tout dans un endroit typique !🤩
