17/03/2026: Holidays from September 11th to 18th, 2024. Exceptional guided ocean excursions on Monday, September 16th, 2024. In the morning, a 2-hour 15-minute trip to Biarritz (€25 per person) and in the afternoon, a 1-hour 45-minute Spanish cruise (€20 per person). Magnificent scenery with its own stories.

18/04/2026: We ordered a half-pint of beer and a sangria; a small sangria in a small glass, nothing special. The service was adequate.

07/07/2025: June 24th at lunch, my birthday lunch. No ventilation or air conditioning that day. Very hot outside. 58 euro menu, probably a poor choice on my part, the free-range egg. Vomiting and nausea 2 hours after the meal. A distant welcome.

24/03/2026: Highly recommended! Very friendly, young, and dynamic staff, the food was delicious and alternative, and the atmosphere was very relaxed and inviting. Even with the door open, the music masks the outside noise (cars, mopeds), and the pleasant salsa tones in the background aren't intrusive, creating an almost nostalgic South American flair. The unisex restrooms are very clean by Lucerne standards. We were lucky; the sun was shining, and there were many guests sitting outside on the terrace. There's a bench on the other side of the large front window. It's like meeting a friend for coffee or a light snack. All the prices are perfectly reasonable, and a balanced lunch in the sun with a delicious espresso is pure bliss. We had a few coffees (cappuccino, long coffee, decaf espresso) and a slice of their homemade orange cake. We left around 12:30 because of our departing train, but the bodega was already filling up with lunchtime guests. I felt transported back to my student days and reminded of my time living in a shared apartment 😍 Everyone was welcome, from young to old 😉 We were even greeted by a lovely canine guest. It was a very pleasant surprise to discover this little sunny bodega just around the corner from the train station. Five stars in every way! 👍😎

22/03/2026: A fantastic and very pleasant place. The terrace must be wonderful in the summer, and the waitress was very efficient and friendly. They were out of ribeye steak, so we switched to roast chicken—what a discovery! The chicken was amazing, highly recommended. The cider was quite good, and since no one was going near the barrels, there was no problem with the cider pouring. In short, we'll be back to try the ribeye steak, although personally, I fell in love with the roast chicken.

20/02/2026: Our favorite spot in Acotz from Easter to November! Ichem, the owner, is lovely. Out of season, he's in the kitchen, and it's a real treat for the taste buds! During peak season, he has a very friendly and professional team. The dishes range from good to excellent. The xipirons, the signature dish, are always delicious, and vegetarians are welcome. The varied menu is always succulent! The magical setting adds the finishing touch... In short, you get the picture: a place not to be missed!

09/05/2026: Hello For several years now, we've had to order by phone because our login details no longer work. As a result, we can't take advantage of the loyalty program. We wanted to order for tonight, but it's still impossible. We already received an email saying it was fixed, but it isn't. All our login details, which we've created and recreated, need to be deleted. We want to remain customers because the pizzas are very good.

07/04/2026: A revelation! I ordered on Uber Eats without any particular wait and I was completely blown away: these are simply the best pizzas I've ever tasted. The dough and the ingredients are incredible. A huge congratulations to the Luz Pizza team for this exceptional quality; you've gained a loyal customer!

17/05/2026: A very friendly welcome, a pleasant setting with a sea view, and quick service! Overall, good value for money with simple but effective, locally sourced cuisine. Just one minor drawback: the frozen fries, which seem out of place on a lunch menu at the higher end of the price range.

27/11/2025: Excellent in every way. Several visits over several years and the quality of service is always top-notch. Not to be missed.

23/11/2025: Unbeatable location in Place Louis XIV. We went with high expectations and the team at La Txalupa delivered. We started with a textbook Foie Gras: perfect texture and intense flavor. But the undisputed star is the Sole Plantxa (Sole). At €38 a dish, you expect quality, and they certainly delivered; fresh product, treated with absolute respect. Honorable mention to the wine (Gascogne Big Blc), a fantastic discovery for €22 that pairs beautifully with the fish. The service was surprisingly attentive and efficient for a tourist spot. The only downside: €5 for half a liter of Vittel water seems like highway robbery, but we forgive them for the final Gateau Basque. Recommended if you want quality and don't mind the price.

16/04/2026: A small, unpretentious restaurant in the market hall. The veal axoa was decent and quite generous. The only real downside, besides the fact they don't accept menus, is the steep price. Sure, it's Saint-Jean-de-Luz, in the market hall, but €65 for a glass of white wine, a pitcher of cider, oysters, a ribeye steak, and a veal axoa is a bit steep for a typical little bistro.

13/04/2026: While visiting the market hall on market day, we immediately spotted this establishment, which stood out for its location and decor. The menus immediately appealed to us. A warm welcome, impeccable service, a very intimate and authentic dining room… that's what we loved. The dishes were flawless, and the cider… 👌. We highly recommend it.
