01/12/2024: This place is majestic in name only. Looking for a table at 9 p.m., a Saturday evening, crowded for the opening of the Christmas market. We were turned away with coldness, and without delicacy with a "and what's more, it's for eating" As an excuse: the kitchens close at 9 p.m.! Cold shower for us. On a Saturday evening, for 2 fried steaks, it doesn't make you want to stay, and so we left. Not even a sorry. Fortunately we found restaurants that are willing to work. When you have a name like majestic, you have to show respect for your customers. Local tourism gives you a living sir, don't forget that. We are from Landes and often come back to St Jean. I already know the place I'm not going to go. Traveler friends, right next door, the DIVA restaurant will welcome you with a smile at 9 p.m. Don't hesitate, it's excellent.

30/11/2024: Fatal!! Expensive, unpleasant, bad service... I asked him if he could charge my cell phone... he showed me a plug on the floor inside the bar 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♂️..

02/09/2024: Very well located hotel. Very pleasant staff. Quality breakfast. Only problem: bedroom and shower room / toilet much too small for a 4*. Really.

21/09/2024: The Guinguette Erromardie has a great atmosphere. It has quite a simple menu of seafood and tapas-style dishes, but although quite simple, the food is perfectly prepared and presented and served hot and fresh. It's a lovely place to sit, eat and watch the sun go down (although today, we were watching a storm coming in with some spectacular lightening flashes). We visit this restaurant every year on our visit to France and always enjoy this place. Great food, great atmosphere and great staff.

18/08/2024: We ate well Only downside was the service My wife's dish arrived in the same sieve as the aperitif and our seafood platter arrived 40 minutes later. We had to return my wife's dish so that we could eat together. Otherwise we ate well

17/08/2024: Accueil chaleureux, service parfait. Cuisine du pays originale et savoureuse. Mention spéciale pour le menu enfant « gastro » (brochettes de lotte, pommes grenailles, glace au chocolat) à prix mini.

10/01/2025: Not great! Unlimited cider, of course, but be careful. The final note was salty and yet the dishes were very ordinary: omelette, entrecôte. Dessert couldn’t be simpler. We all came away with the same feeling. We will definitely not return.

03/01/2025: A memorable December 31st!! No heating in the room, all the customers ate with scarves and coats... a piece of glass in my grandson's (4 year old) drink... no dessert offered on the children's menu (for €12 a chopped steak and fries) no atmosphere at least to warm up the customers!!! And a very long service too long especially when we are cold!!!...

06/09/2024: Le Restaurant ILLURA est intégré à l’hôtel LA RÉSERVE et bénéficie ainsi d’une terrasse donnant sur un magnifique parc avec vue sur océan et d’un parking privé. La cuisine est de niveau restaurant étoilé et offre une carte variée de plats fins avec des produits frais de saison, à prix raisonnables (petit bémol sur le prix des vins un peu élevé dont la carte pourrait être ouverte à quelques vins de pays à prix plus bas). Le service des serveuses et serveurs sous la houlette de Mandala l’adjointe au chef de rang et la supervision de Arnaud le directeur de salle est irréprochable. En résumé, sur 4 dîners pris dans ce restaurant, nous avons bénéficié de 4 moments de détente et de plaisir. En résumé, un grand bravo et un grand merci général, car en passant de l’accueil au service et à la dégustation, tout a été parfait.

04/09/2024: Salle à manger accueillante (il faisait frais pour manger en terrasse). Carte très intéressante et du personnel excellent pour conseiller. Connaissance des produits intéressante avec des conseils avisés. Repas divin agrémenté d’un vin délicieux de la région. Vraiment une adresse à conseiller un peu à l’écart (15 min à pieds) du bord de plage.

29/08/2024: A place to eat simply, the quality of the meals is relative to their price. For years the dishes have been the same so no surprises, but it meets a request. Concerning the welcome which is the subject of criticism, it is rather sober but courteous, as much as the arrogant behavior of certain tourists who settle in and leave without ordering...everything is explained.
