13/02/2026: A true hidden gem in Old Lyon. The atmosphere is magnificent and ideal for being productive (working remotely or otherwise), while enjoying a chill and peaceful setting. The view is exceptional, with Lyon Cathedral, the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière, and the Archaeological Garden of Lyon as a backdrop. A rare place, both inspiring and relaxing!

03/02/2026: Always a wonderful experience! From the service and the ever-improving selection of natural wines to the top-notch homemade cuisine, Le Troquet is a true delight! The little beef cheek croquettes are simply melt-in-your-mouth sweets. The fried chicken, a modern twist on karaage, is perfect. And even the desserts, including homemade chocolate mousse, are fantastic, with a particular favorite being the walnut and praline cream tart—wow, I recommend ordering one dessert per person! They offer excellent advice on wines and pairings, always with great suggestions. We simply had a wonderful time. A must-visit for tourists and locals alike! It's one of the best wine bars in Lyon. Bravo!

11/02/2026: I had dinner at Le Bouchon des Cordeliers on Friday, February 6, 2026. I had booked a table well in advance, of course. It was my first experience at a true "bouchon lyonnais" and it was wonderful. The atmosphere was informal and friendly. The food was exquisite. The wine was excellent. The place was cozy. The service was attentive. I chose the Menu des Canuts: For a starter, Terrine du Chef: Foie gras, suckling pig, veal, and scallops, onion and pickle compote. For the main course, quenelle Lyonnaise au Brochet, Homardine sauce, and rice pilaf. For dessert, baba au Vieux Rhum Arrangé à la Vanille. To drink, I ordered a pot of Mâcon Villages white wine. Bread and water were complimentary throughout the meal. Everything was delicious. I highly recommend it. Quality and generous portions in every dish. Congratulations to the restaurant management and all the staff. If I return to Lyon, I will definitely go back. Hugs from Spain. 🇪🇸💙💛🤍❤️🇨🇵

14/12/2025: Very, very tasty. Usually, food near the center or squares is either very expensive or both tasteless and expensive. This place was delicious and homey, yet served like an upscale restaurant. It's best to reserve a table in advance, but we were seated without a reservation.

02/03/2026: Second time visiting. The welcome: smiling staff despite the crowd. Impeccable service, generous portions of typical Lyonnais dishes of high quality, and a very well-stocked wine cellar... à la carte or set menus, you have the choice. All for a reasonable price. A restaurant I wholeheartedly recommend on a typical Lyonnais street: Rue Mercière. One last tip: don't forget to make a reservation. And if you don't like being crowded at your table, don't come to a bouchon (traditional Lyonnais restaurant).
