05/02/2026: I came back and, well, it was good again. I ate gnocchi that were simply wonderful. The service is still excellent. Thank you. In February 2026, I ordered a four-cheese pizza. They asked me if, by any chance, I'd like some ragù made especially for lasagna instead of tomato sauce. I said yes. Explosions of flavor, definitely an exceptional pizza. Well done, Pier.

01/03/2026: The porcini mushroom fondue was perfect, a real treat! The choice of three cheeses was perfect; this fondue won't leave you feeling heavy.

01/03/2026: A pleasant setting with a vaulted stone cellar. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was okay, but nothing special; we were a little disappointed with the bill. We still recommend it, though.

You can tell the products are selected with passion. Special mention for the charcuterie boards, generous and perfectly paired with the wines. The service is top-notch: welcoming, professional, and always with a smile. A perfect place to spend quality time with friends or as a couple. I highly recommend it and will gladly return! 🍷✨

01/03/2026: We were very regular customers of the previous owner, as the staff was excellent, the place wonderful, and the menu high-quality… Today, after two attempts with friends, it was a complete flop… a bland charcuterie board, mass-produced desserts, and a total lack of warmth from the new manager. A €20 error at the till, not an apology… This place had a real soul thanks to Ben. Today, the new owner is lucky to have such an exceptional location and to be able to capitalize on the old version, but the name should have been changed because, for us, it's no longer the iconic "vintage" place.

01/12/2024: Arriving at 11:55 a.m. at the Riva without reservation, I asked if there was room for 1 person, the owner looked at the room of around 30 seats and seated me nonchalantly while only 4 people were seated, I said to myself that the service will be quick... I order a Milanese escalope and ask for the pasta without cheese because I am allergic and the answer was: the escalope is breaded with cheese like all Milanese escalopes…. Having eaten a few in my life it was the first time I heard that, so I choose a calzone answer: we can't because we don't have any more eggs, so I take another pizza. Finally at 12:20 p.m. when the room has 11 seats, the owner comes back and tells me that finally, she can make me an escalope without cheese… An escalope without any work with buttered pasta was served to me (26 euros per dish….) At 1:10 p.m., my bill: a Milanese escalope and a glass of rosé for 30 euros. I ask for a bill without details for a meal, I am told: it’s impossible… FYI, I have been eating at restaurants from Tuesday to Friday for 20 years and this is the first time I have been given this kind of response….. In other words, if you want to be unwelcome and eat at the convenience of management, don't hesitate, this is the right place.

30/11/2024: A good atmosphere. A friendly team. Foie gras... A killer. The rest is the same and all this for a reasonable price.

04/07/2025: During a business trip, we booked a room at this hotel for its proximity and convenience. The room was functional and standard, suitable for one night, but a small refrigerator would have been appreciated, especially in the heat. We had been proactive in asking if we could check in a little early, as we might arrive very late. The staff was very understanding and accommodating, which is worth noting. However, a mistake was made when giving us the card: the wrong room key, which prevented us from entering. We had to contact reception to have someone let us in. Another small drawback: breakfast ends at 9:00 a.m., which is a little early, especially for a hotel. We arrived at 9:30 a.m. and everything was already tidied up. Fortunately, upon our departure, we were kindly offered a croissant and a pain au chocolat, which we greatly appreciated. In summary: a practical hotel, with a good welcome despite a few awkward moments. Suitable for a short business trip.

01/07/2025: The young man at reception did everything he could to help us and resolve a problem with a door and key that wasn't working. He was very pleasant and friendly, thank you. The room was clean and quiet, with excellent air conditioning. I recommend it.

10/03/2026: A perfect stay as always at the Hotel Riviera in Aix-les-Bains! Formerly the Golden Tulip We've been coming for several years now, and it's always a real pleasure to stay here. The hotel is truly excellent: the welcome is warm, the rooms are comfortable, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Special mention to Margaux, the receptionist, who takes care of us every year with great kindness and professionalism. She is always attentive and does everything to ensure our stay is perfect. A big thank you to the whole team; we will gladly return!

03/03/2026: Disappointed by the buffet, thank you to the restaurant manager for making a gesture. Disappointed, no mules available!!: to go to the spa, even though the room was booked with spa access, apparently they were out of stock according to the staff. Forced to walk barefoot from the 3rd floor to the spa, quite unacceptable for a hotel of this category, a shame.

17/06/2025: We went there twice during our stay in Aix-les-Bains. I can tell you that we, who had a big disappointment at lunchtime in another restaurant, really enjoyed ourselves. So much so that we went back two days later.

04/11/2025: Great time with the family, we were right to arrive early. The meal was perfectly fine, the desserts were nothing special.

01/11/2025: Stopped by several times for a coffee or a drink, small platters... alone, with family, or for a business meeting. After several years, I've concluded: a lot of turnover, very young servers, probably paid a pittance according to the pay scale, and the same managers rotating through the chain's establishments (you rarely see them in the dining room, not even during rush hour). In short, the recipe for toxic, cushy management that damages the city's reputation, and which should be replaced by people passionate about their work and who know how to run a business. And also, probably, they should pay them properly to avoid driving away their staff and discouraging young people from this wonderful profession. I recently remember a young woman, Lola, I think, who deserves to be a manager. Quick, professional, smiling, but stressed. You can feel the stress of the servers and the difficulties they face. People clearly come here for the setting, the proximity to the Parc Floral. It's magnificent. So it's justified on the bill, nothing shocking. BUT, the staff is underpaid and exploited. There are long delays between The moment we were seated, the moment our order was taken, and then we were served—even during quiet periods. But during rush hour, it's terrible. Every time, it saddened me to see the waitresses (and sometimes waiters) running around in all directions, left alone when people arrived in groups, without time to clear and clean the tables, constantly being called away. And with no colleagues coming to help, they had to deal with the discontent of customers who had the wrong people. I know I won't return to any of the Epikur group's establishments until the management changes. And I advise both locals and tourists against it. One of the few quality restaurants, L'Estrade, has closed; we won't find that same quality at La Rotonde, even though it has everything to be an exceptional establishment because of its location. A huge waste.

29/01/2026: We had a wonderful time at this restaurant. The food is excellent, as is the service. The team is dynamic, attentive, and very professional. The decor and ambiance are lovely. I highly recommend it. The prices are very reasonable for the level of quality offered, especially compared to other lakeside restaurants. We each ordered the Alchemist menu, with an aperitif. The cooking and flavors were perfect. I highly recommend it.
