04/04/2024: My experience at the Folie Douce restaurant was absolutely memorable! After an intense ski session in the morning, we decided to take a lunch break at La Fruitière. Despite the snow falling, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The dishes, notably the osso buco and the chocolate mousse, were simply delicious. The setting and decoration added a touch of conviviality to our meal. We ended this experience with music, outdoors, with the DJs, before heading back to the slopes. A truly perfect moment with friends!
03/04/2024: Excellent lunch taken at La Fruitière, the service is super efficient and friendly, the cuisine is really good and quite refined, and the portions are really generous, especially for the desserts. The prices are quite high, but the quality/price ratio is excellent for Val d’Isère.

17/03/2024: The setting of this establishment is undeniably charming and the dishes offered are quite good, however, the value for money leaves something to be desired. Although the prices are high, the expected quality is not always there. The service does not live up to expectations. The icing on the cake was the strange behavior of the waiter who pushed us to tip, which seemed inappropriate given the disappointing service. In summary, an overall mixed experience despite the positive aspects.

30/03/2024: Exceptional. Incredible welcome, top team. There is a great atmosphere from the first minutes. A regular at Val for decades, this is a great discovery that takes us away from other places that have become unfrequented...special mention for Dylan the Pastry Chef and his Easter dessert!
14/03/2024: Came today unpleasant staff 2 burgers for 40e and surprise served without fries a shame for the price and not very good to avoid

03/04/2024: The 1789 is one of our favourite restaurants, the food is fantastic. We always look forward to our visit and are never disappointed.
03/04/2024: Don't believe everything negative that you read! I love this place. Been coming here for years. I came for pierade and profiteroles with my son on a busy Sunday night in April. The service was prompt, the food was delicious, the waitresses were attentive and polite. I think the price is a good value reflection of the quality.
Final word: you're in France, speak French. It might enhance your entire experience!

You have to pay for the side dish in addition to the main course!
Pork ribs with a very peppery sauce, canned and no mushrooms
A really small half chicken (a chicken leg) really ridiculous
The bottled price was €7 even though there were carafes on the bar counter!
And to top it off, these facts were followed by a waiter outside the restaurant, the latter asking us if they had not stolen a pepper mill, truly unheard of 😡

21/03/2024: I was told the barracks were the place to be in Val d'Isère, what a nasty surprise, deplorable service, decent food, but all in a din that makes you just want to finish your meal and run away. No respect for the customer, the important thing seems to be to make money…nothing more.

03/04/2024: Everyone come to Crazy Barm's! The products offered are of great quality, the bread is excellent and what can we say about the welcome... the salespeople are great and super friendly! Mr Chevallot has some worries to worry about

02/03/2024: We came the day we arrived to Val d’isere after a night of apres. We were turned away from a couple places due to it being around 8pm but Restaurant La Casa Scara sat us and we had some delicious pasta and salad. It was a lovely evening in a cozy and intimate atmosphere and the special of the night was very pleasant! Our servers were also amazing.
19/02/2024: Cold room throughout the meal. Plain food, poor quality pasta and tasteless sauce. Much too expensive for little result
