04/05/2026: An exceptional stay, as always, at this very clean hotel with its very pleasant staff. The spa is excellent; everything is top-notch.

16/06/2026: Great food! Chef was great! Terrace wasn’t open for dinner sadly, but otherwise the service and atmosphere were also good overall, despite one or two small communication issues. The experience was very much valued and the gluten free accommodation for us both was quite nice! Thank you for a great tasting experience!

30/05/2026: We went here for lunch and the food were exceptional. The first few courses all came in a variety of small dishes, each of them were beautifully made, all well presented like pieces of art. The starter was garden vegetables with some fish pieces and an amazing fish based source, I finally understood why the cooking shows made such a big deal when the vegetables were picked from the restauranta back garden! The vegetables on that plant were all lightly seasoned but they all tasted incredible! We had guinea fowl as the main, the meat was really nicely cooked, very soft and moist, the ravioli with mushroom was super tasty and the highlight of the dish (as if it wasn't great already), was the grilled little leg / drumstick, it was full of flavour. The source, which they left the jar on the table, was exceptional, I basically kept pouring more and more on the plate, as a tipping to finish the bread. The desserts were great, never had a kiwi based dessert and it was very refreshing, but the Petits Fours were the best I have ever had anyway (and I have been to many estaurants!) We also went on a sunny day, the view from their garden was incredible. Overall, an exceptional dinning experience, if you are visit the area, you must visit this restaurant for sure!

23/05/2026: Fantastic welcome! Fanny is absolutely lovely and very professional. I highly recommend this very peaceful place. I was so happy to stumble upon it by chance to charge my phone, which had died, and enjoy an excellent beer. Highly recommended!

26/04/2026: From the moment I arrived, Léa and Juliette gave me a wonderful welcome and offered excellent advice on choosing my lunch. Everything was perfect! I'm sad it's closing, but I'm already looking forward to coming back next winter for such a warm welcome.

26/03/2026: We came in for desserts, but our experience was rather unpleasant. While we were paying at the counter, the staff member started coughing into her hands, and then used those same bare hands to handle and serve our desserts. This was very unhygienic..

03/05/2026: The restaurant is very well located on the slopes with a lovely terrace. There's a wide selection of dishes, desserts, and more. I went twice in the same week and thoroughly enjoyed my meals. I'll definitely be back!

02/05/2026: After a week of trying out all the mountain restaurants in Val d'Isère, Les Marmottes is undoubtedly the best value for money, with very reasonable prices! A nice little bonus: a friendly team.

27/04/2026: I came twice during my ski week. As for the food, there's nothing to complain about: it's excellent and authentic. I highly recommend it. However, regarding the service, the short-haired waitress was unpleasant both times I came to the restaurant. The first time, I simply asked for my meat to be cooked medium-rare, but it wasn't. Yet, she criticized me for the cooking, even though I only asked for it to be cooked longer. The second time, I asked a question when she brought the dishes, and she responded haughtily and dismissively, without clearly addressing my request. I find this unacceptable: once, perhaps, but twice is excessive, especially since I'm a customer and I don't want to be spoken to rudely when I come to eat.

27/04/2026: A very good place, warm and authentic. It was a real pleasure to share a braserade with friends... Special mention for the gratin.

23/04/2026: The place is beautiful, we queued for a table (nothing unusual there), the service was very good, but the food arrived cold, it wasn't cooked properly, and we couldn't get what we ordered. A shame...

21/04/2026: We ordered the salad of the day, a Caesar salad. However, the breaded chicken was dry, tough, and tasteless, the lettuce was starting to turn brown, and the cheese was practically nonexistent. The dressing was insufficient, so we asked for vinaigrette. This wasn't possible because only one small container per salad is provided. After complaining about the dry salad, we learned that the salad of the day had been prepared the day before. We do not recommend this establishment. INEDIBLE, INDUSTRIAL CAESAR SALAD - SHAMEFUL FOR THE PRICE!!!!

23/04/2026: The hotel is a bit overrated in my opinion, and the experience was disappointing, especially the restaurant. Otherwise, the rooms are pleasant. Special mention goes to the spa, which overlooks the valley – a breathtaking view!

17/04/2026: BEWARE OF HOSTILE MANAGER. Had lunch at their restaurant and since our hotel booked for us and given it was our first time there obviously we would not know how sunny/which direction the sun would be hitting us from. Anyway we asked for seats to be facing away from the sun to which the lady who kept emphasizing she’s the manager (good for her but does she really need to keep saying it) said no because all the seats are absolutely fully booked for the whole lunch period (even if we said we will leave in an hour). She even misunderstand us and tried to seat us facing the sun. Anyway my husband just had surgery on his face and cannot be under the sun directly so we insisted and she moved us indoors, not before she rudely asked us if we wanted to leave repeatedly. The rest of the staff was nice and we noticed her talking pretty condescendingly to them. Maybe she’s the owner’s daughter or something? Crazy attitude. Anyway when we left an hour later and there were 6-7 empty tables outside. All fully booked huh? With this kinda attitude she shouldn’t work in hospitality if she acts like she hates her life.

06/04/2025: First the negative things: I think the only negative in that I gets quite warm inside. Positive things: The raclette was really delicious,the charcuterie as well and the menu had many different options, including a child-menu. The staff was really lovely too. They also have a bar with a terrace upstairs, which uses the raclette cheese if unfinished!

23/03/2025: First time to have dinner here and we had the most wonderful, locally authentic meal. Onion soup and Pierrade au Boeuf, the meat was simply delicious. Service was excellent and friendly, atmosphere was lovely. Highly recommend.

29/04/2026: Want to get ripped off? Head straight to La Folie Douce without hesitation: €10 for a lukewarm glass of white wine, €20 for a spritz, all served in a child's plastic cup. I'm speechless.

28/04/2026: Honestly, the first time I saw Folie Douce, I couldn't believe I'd find a place like this in the middle of the mountains! The atmosphere is incredible (the video is from a very quiet day), there's a really festive energy, people speaking all kinds of languages, dancing, singing, and relaxing! If you're nearby, don't hesitate to go up, because it's a truly unique place.
