It's a place you don't see very often anymore! Long live L'Avancher!
13/04/2026: There are places you'd almost want to keep secret, so filled was the well-being and serenity of your stay. But let's be fair; everyone should know! The welcome, the services, the family room, the restaurant, the tranquility of L'AVANCHER: A MUST. 3 days at L'AVANCHER is like 10 days of rest elsewhere ;-) Bravo to all the teams.

First of all, the welcome is truly excellent, the location is very pleasant, right by the water, and the slopes are in a top-notch area!

04/04/2026: We had lunch today and absolutely loved it. The food, the presentation, and the service were all wonderful. I also loved the dessert, so refreshing and not at all heavy. I would go back just to eat the polenta yuzo dessert again. Thank you so much! Also it was lovely to meet the chef, such a warm person and you could tell he loves what he does. We will be back very soon!

29/03/2026: dissapointed in an ambassador of 'paix dieux': I ordered a 50cl paix dieu but it was served in a stuut glass. Upon asking the waiter he said they did not have large paix deux glasses. However, to me it looked like they had them on display at the bar. The food was good though (ceasar salad and chicken burger)
27/03/2026: I had the pleasure of having lunch at Jean-Michel's today. Great team! Marie served us, and the prawn pasta was excellent. Bry at the bar was very kind in serving us shots. I highly recommend it.

19/02/2026: There are no WORDS the express the deliciousness of the pastries at this place. By far the best patisserie in the area. We had raspberry & pistachio tart and oh my god it was PERFECT. Staff is lovely, prices reasonable and very nice selection of teas. I had mariage frere’s rooibos tea and highly recommend it. Only downside was that we discovered it on the last day of the trip, truly wish we had gone there on the first day as I would love to visit it every day especially after ski!

An exceptional experience at Le Refuge in Solaise!
An absolutely magical place with a splendid view and a warm, mountain atmosphere. The welcome is impeccable, the staff are friendly, attentive, and very professional. The dishes are delicious, generous, and perfectly prepared with high-quality ingredients. Everything comes together for a unique experience: a magnificent setting, flavorful cuisine, and a convivial atmosphere. A must-visit in Solaise; we will definitely be back!

23/04/2026: The place is beautiful, we queued for a table (nothing unusual there), the service was very good, but the food arrived cold, it wasn't cooked properly, and we couldn't get what we ordered. A shame...
21/04/2026: We ordered the salad of the day, a Caesar salad. However, the breaded chicken was dry, tough, and tasteless, the lettuce was starting to turn brown, and the cheese was practically nonexistent. The dressing was insufficient, so we asked for vinaigrette. This wasn't possible because only one small container per salad is provided. After complaining about the dry salad, we learned that the salad of the day had been prepared the day before. We do not recommend this establishment. INEDIBLE, INDUSTRIAL CAESAR SALAD - SHAMEFUL FOR THE PRICE!!!!

10/04/2026: Food was good. Made a reservation for 7:30, which was an option, but the kitchen closed at 7:45?! We were new to the area and this restaurant would have been a better breakfast place.
25/03/2026: Excellent place for lunch. It’s small and can fill up during peak hours, so a reservation is recommended. The food is delicious and the setting is charming. Their Italian beef tartare is amazing, and so are their savory crêpes.

4x the price because you’re a ‘vip’?
Is this really how your bar wishes to treat/extort people who are already paying to be there!?!

06/04/2025: First the negative things:
I think the only negative in that I gets quite warm inside.
Positive things:
The raclette was really delicious,the charcuterie as well and the menu had many different options, including a child-menu. The staff was really lovely too.
They also have a bar with a terrace upstairs, which uses the raclette cheese if unfinished!
23/03/2025: First time to have dinner here and we had the most wonderful, locally authentic meal. Onion soup and Pierrade au Boeuf, the meat was simply delicious. Service was excellent and friendly, atmosphere was lovely. Highly recommend.

20/03/2026: After the first visit ,I came here 2 more times. The wine list is impressive, but being alone I stuck to wines by the glass. The service from Camille was commensurate with the wine list – exceptional. I was greeted each time in a friendly and professional manner. Everyone spoke beautiful English, but I’m sure that my experience would’ve been even better (if that’s possible ) if I spoke French. The charcuterie board was artfully laid out, and the burrata salad and roasted vegetables excellent. I wish I was here longer to experience more of the menu . Highly recommend.
11/03/2026: A delightful time shared with friends who are regulars. We enjoyed a tasting of a very good St. Joseph Gripa, recommended by the owner. The shared meal was fabulously delicious.
We'll be back to treat ourselves again.
