19/08/2026: A truly beautiful, two-Michelin-starred restaurant at the foot of the Aravis mountains. We received a very warm welcome at this restaurant with impeccable service. The Chef delighted us with the special fish menu, "À l'Onde des Cîmes," a dish of exquisite finesse, yet with a delightful zest that served as a guiding thread throughout the meal. Thank you to the entire team for this wonderful experience, as refined as it was delicious.

15/08/2026: We had lunch at this restaurant today. The downsides: - We were very displeased that this gourmet restaurant allows pets. This is truly unacceptable for a Michelin-starred establishment. Their barking disturbed us, and we find it unhygienic to allow animals in this type of establishment (even though we have a pet ourselves). This is also disrespectful to the other customers who wish to enjoy their meal in peace and quiet. - It's unfortunate that there aren't enough parasols, forcing us to move our tables (and thus sit close to the neighboring tables) because of the sun. Just two more parasols would solve this problem! - - When I went to the restroom at the end of the meal, there were no more hand towels. - Our table had large stains upon arrival, which is not what one would expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant. - The wine pairing was overpriced. The Pros - Very beautiful and pleasant terrace - Excellent food with lovely, elegant presentation - Friendly staff - The chef was very kind and we met him at the end of the meal - Large free parking lot nearby

03/09/2026: Super hotel, good service, beautiful view, delicious breakfast... I would advise against the hotel if you have an old/small car or a bike rack, due to the poor, narrow road along the ravine leading to the hotel. Otherwise, top-notch.

29/08/2026: An exceptional experience! We spent 3 nights and 4 days in the alpine pastures, surrounded by mountains, sky, and meadows – an unforgettable stay. The hotel is magnificent, comfortable, and welcoming. The services are top-notch: a beautiful pool, sauna, jacuzzi… Yoga and meditation… Spa treatments and massages… The breakfast buffet is generous… The restaurant is delicious… And the icing on the cake: the mountain view! A stay to reach new heights (2551m) and forget the grim news of the day. Please turn off your iPhone!

16/08/2026: A table facing south, perfect for recovering from the climb, with an excellent bruschetta and a cold drink. Highly recommended. Fresh ingredients, incredibly friendly service. Everything you could want in the mountains.

14/07/2026: The restaurant was good, but the welcome and service were handled by a passive-aggressive waiter. I had a reservation, and he coldly asked me if I wanted a table inside or outside. I asked for inside, and his response was, "Mmm." For the rest of the meal, he didn't smile once. I understand that people can have a bad day, but we didn't ask for any of this...

13/07/2026: Perfect, we had a Savoyard fondue and ice cream for dessert. It was excellent. Perhaps a little pricey, but that's the going rate at the resort. The service was quick and the staff were helpful.

18/08/2026: Not the special occasion I had hoped for. We paid a lot of money to eat here for our last night and it was ruined by the staff rushing us. We booked the 21.30 sitting and arrived 10 mins early, and were being repeatedly asked if we had finished by 22:40, while still having food and wine on the table. In the end, if staff aren’t going to make the experience pleasant, you’re better going to get a pizza round the corner. Edit: The owner seems to be accusing me of unpleasant behaviour. Don't believe it! I asked for the music to be changed when they put house music on and started cleaning up around us! That hardly makes it feel like a special occasion does it?!

17/08/2026: A superb welcome, the service was perfectly managed, no wait despite a full restaurant. We had raclette, an authentic one just the way we like it in the mountains, and the portions were just right. The crackling fireplace added to the cozy atmosphere. Thank you again for the surprise candles and your hospitality.

23/05/2026: Fantastic welcome! Fanny is absolutely lovely and very professional. I highly recommend this very peaceful place. I was so happy to stumble upon it by chance to charge my phone, which had died, and enjoy an excellent beer. Highly recommended!

21/05/2026: A sure bet in the area: a very well-exposed terrace facing Fourvière, reasonably priced drinks and cocktails, and attentive staff.

04/09/2026: Lunch was served one day. We were ushered downstairs by a group of workers to a small, rather dark and overheated room near the kitchens. Our first (unpleasant) surprise: no menu! We asked the waitress what they offered, and she told us: set menu (tomato salad, meatballs with rice and tomato sauce, and tiramisu), burger, pasta Bolognese, and Caesar salad. And that was it! Surprised, we asked if there was a menu, but there wasn't! No mention of starters or desserts, just the set menu and these three dishes. After having a drink, we placed our order. We asked the second waitress if she could remind us of the dishes, just in case. She said she didn't know, that it depended on what the first waitress had told us! Do they have different types of customers? With no other options, we went with the set menu, the salad, and the pasta. The salad and pasta portions were generous. The set menu starter consisted of just three thin slices of tomato, a little onion, and some Parmesan cheese. The meatball and rice dish was substantial, but rather bland. The coffee tiramisu was very good, the only positive aspect of the meal. When it came time to pay, we finally discovered the prices! €20 for the set menu, €21 for both the salad and the pasta. Oddly enough, as we were leaving, we saw customers with platters of charcuterie, something that wasn't offered to us! In short, if you're hoping for a Savoyard meal with a good selection, look elsewhere. Unless you're from Val d'Isère?

03/05/2026: The restaurant is very well located on the slopes with a lovely terrace. There's a wide selection of dishes, desserts, and more. I went twice in the same week and thoroughly enjoyed my meals. I'll definitely be back!

02/05/2026: After a week of trying out all the mountain restaurants in Val d'Isère, Les Marmottes is undoubtedly the best value for money, with very reasonable prices! A nice little bonus: a friendly team.

13/08/2026: Really good, just like last year. Be aware that it's not very obvious from the outside that it's also a restaurant, which is a shame because the food is excellent.

01/08/2026: Boulangerie, pastry shop, and tearoom, ideal for a motorcycle stop. Grab a baguette and off you go. Your motorcycle can easily be parked in front of the shop.

29/04/2026: Want to get ripped off? Head straight to La Folie Douce without hesitation: €10 for a lukewarm glass of white wine, €20 for a spritz, all served in a child's plastic cup. I'm speechless.

28/04/2026: A very pleasant spot with a great atmosphere! I recommend it for pedestrians who want a beautiful view or a break during a ski ascent/descent! ⛷️

25/08/2026: Good food, warm welcome, and excellent service. The only drawbacks, which prevented us from giving it 5 stars, were the terrace being practically on the road and the tables being very close together, and of course the prices, but that's become common in Val d'Isère!

18/08/2026: The service was adequate and the location was good. However, I was disappointed with the "artisanal" ice cream, which had a strangely artificial taste. I also would have preferred real lemonade instead of the Sprite I was served. I find it difficult to agree with all the reviews left on Google...
