21/01/2026: A good restaurant with good food. It's always full, so it's a good idea to make a reservation. Takeout is available, which is very convenient and what I often do. The vegetable couscous is excellent (as are the other dishes), and the pastries are superb. The service isn't always very fast, but it's not a big deal. A great atmosphere!

22/02/2026: We stumbled upon this little restaurant on a street corner, and we weren't disappointed. We were greeted with a smile and attentive service. We enjoyed a delicious, homemade meal made with fresh ingredients and very generous portions. I highly recommend it.

20/02/2026: We ordered a tasting menu and an assortment of vegetarian dishes, and it was absolutely delicious! We also recommend the coffee, which is wonderfully smooth! The welcome was very warm, and the restaurant is beautifully decorated; it was an excellent experience! Remember to make a reservation, as the restaurant is quite small. We will gladly return (with a good appetite!).

02/02/2026: We went to Adey Adeba to discover Ethiopian cuisine, and it was a wonderful experience. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! We chose the vegetarian Beyaynetou, a remarkable discovery, bursting with flavor. The restaurant is unique and immediately immerses you in the Ethiopian atmosphere thanks to its decor, music, presentation of the dishes, and of course, its authentic tastes. Special mention goes to the menu, which touches on the history of Ethiopia and also includes a small French-Ethiopian glossary, allowing you to learn a few words—a thoughtful touch that is both fun and enriching. The manager and her server are extremely friendly, welcoming, and passionate. They genuinely enjoy sharing their culture and cuisine, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. We highly recommend this restaurant!

23/02/2026: Amazing experience at Le Messob! Honestly, it was fantastic from start to finish. The welcome was wonderful and warm; we immediately felt right at home. The food was incredible: flavorful, generous, and bursting with aromas… a true taste of Ethiopia. There were four of us, and we felt so comfortable that we stayed until closing time 😅 The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, perfect for spending a long time at the table sharing dishes. 27/02/2026: Not many people on this Friday the 20th, the start of the school holidays, but a very warm welcome from the owner, who kindly provided us with information and served excellent dishes, from appetizer to dessert. Very refined and original. The cocktails were also remarkable. Truly excellent.

09/02/2026: Lunch as a couple on February 4, 2026: we were delighted! A warm welcome from a very pleasant young woman who answered our questions with a smile. Her service was excellent, and the food was delicious. We chose the "discovery" dishes (although we had already visited in 2016 and enjoyed them). We will definitely return and highly recommend this unique restaurant.

04/02/2026: What can we say about MAKEBA… It was our first experience there with my partner, and the reviews were absolutely true. The welcome was warm, and all the dishes were explained to us with care. The food was delicious, from the main courses to the desserts, and Georges gave us excellent wine recommendations. 26/02/2026: Honestly, the service was incredibly fast, the quality was amazing, and I loved the flavors. I ordered the rice in broth (it was to die for), the chicken (incredibly good), the yassa sauce (magnificent), and the side dish with tomatoes (even that was delicious). And the chili: I love a bit of heat, and this was seriously hot, I almost cried 😂 but I loved it. P.S.: Even the ginger candy that came with the dish was excellent XD

08/02/2026: I am an American wandering the streets of Paris. One of the interesting things I discovered, which shouldn't be a surprise, but Paris has ethnic neighborhoods (again, just like every other big city). As I was wandering I started to notice quite a few African-themed restaurants. Obviously France did more than their share of colonization, including Africa, so this shouldn't be a surprise. ANYWAY. I have not had a lot of exposure of African cuisine and I figured I might as well stop and have something. So I stopped at Osé African Cuisine. I would classify Osé as a fast-casual restaurant. A number of bowl options (including S/M/L options) and some sides. I only needed a snack, so I ordered the Alloko, which are basically plantain fries. They are very good. Kind of blackened and carmalizes. And they came with 3 dipping sauces. Red, green, and yellow. Just understand that yellow is the HOT one. I'm not scurred of hot sauces in general. The yellow is delicious, but legit hot. Nose running hot. Green and red are good, but I kept on going back to the yellow and punishing myself. Anyhoo. Give African cuisine a try. And if you're around Osé, give them a shot.

25/02/2026: One star for the service. The waitress asked us three times in ten minutes if the last customer would be arriving soon, even though we had already ordered our appetizers. We were this close to leaving to eat elsewhere. But the ravioli were delicious.

17/02/2026: I ordered the ravioli to take away. The quality/price ratio was average. I think one portion is more than enough for a moderately hungry person. The ravioli are average, the price is fair, and the service is 10/10. Everyone is friendly and fast. The place is very small, so if you're planning on eating in, it's good to know that! Otherwise, they're great! They're in a great location.

08/02/2026: I went back to L'Embuscade today with my husband, who isn't (yet!) vegan, because we loved it last time, and we adored it again. And, SURPRISE, Chef Phoebe Amalia Dunn was there—welcoming, smiling, and wonderful! I admire her for her creativity, her values, and her humanity. Going vegan is easy with a restaurant like this! Plus, the prices are very reasonable: €25 each for a shared starter, a delicious plantain burger, a sublime chocolate orange cream, lemonade, and beer. Thank you, Chef! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
