14/05/2026: The food was good, the restaurant was nice, but I found that the cloth placemats weren't changed between services, which is a lack of hygiene. A shame.
13/05/2026: I had a calzone pizza, it was delicious. The service was excellent, the waitresses were very friendly!

Here, everything is perfect:
👉 Ultra-professional and attentive service
👉 Beautifully presented dishes

But what really makes the difference? The generosity.
Finally, a restaurant where you don't leave hungry… quite the opposite 😄
The portions are generous, the desserts incredibly decadent, and every bite confirms that you're in the right place.

10/06/2026: We sat down at a table and, after waiting 10 minutes, had to wave to a waitress ourselves. We were given a menu, and then after waiting another 10 minutes, the waitress went to clear tables. We waited another 10 minutes, but no one came, so we just got up and left. How can a waitress clear tables while a customer is waiting for service, even if it was just to ask what we wanted to drink? Very bad.
26/05/2026: A wonderful discovery! We ate here for lunch yesterday and we loved it! The dishes were truly delicious, well-prepared, and flavorful! The welcome was warm and the atmosphere very pleasant.

16/05/2026: Excellent restaurant. The staff (I think the owner) are very friendly, always with a kind and funny word. I highly recommend it. Marie Dominique, Valérie, and Nelly. And their dog, Moly.
15/05/2026: Plenty of choice, reasonable prices for well-prepared and generous portions. The expected flavors were all there. I recommend it. Besides, there were a lot of regulars, which is a good sign.

10/07/2026: What can I say?! A very warm welcome in a beautiful vaulted cellar. A lovely, shaded terrace on a charming little pedestrian street lined with lovely shops. The food is absolutely delicious. We had the lamb trilogy with ratatouille and sautéed potatoes. A delight! Absolutely perfect! The desserts are just as good, and this trilogy allows you to try and appreciate dishes you've never tasted before. The prices are very reasonable. Go for it, don't hesitate any longer, you'll leave satisfied with this gastronomic experience!

03/07/2026: Plates overloaded, not good: overcooked and cold ribeye steak accompanied by soggy, dark brown fries, an artificially flavored truffle sauce, leg of lamb burning hot on the outside and cold on the inside (apparently reheated in the microwave), same as before for the fries, salmon tartare made of cubes of salmon piled on slices of bread covered with mashed avocado (inedible)
23/06/2026: A friendly place, truly wonderful people who take great care of their customers, the food is absolutely delicious, well done, don't change a thing!

The hotel is very well located.
The staff were very friendly.
What will make us return is Mr. Michel's warm welcome; we have rarely seen someone so attentive to their guests.

Hotel restaurant la nouvelle citadelle

03/05/2026: The room was quite dilapidated, with significant damage to the walls, a broken shutter that wouldn't close, cobwebs, dead insects, and accumulated dust on the baseboards and pipes. There was mold and grime on the shower hose, the bottom of the glass, and in the corners of the shower tray. The toilet was so small that a seated adult man's knees hit the door. The bathroom ventilation was so noisy it was unbearable. There was no soundproofing between the room and the rest of the hotel. The TV was very small, propped against the wall by a bath towel. The patio door didn't close properly. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable, and the view of Sainte-Baume and the citadel was pleasant. However, considering the state of the room, the price was clearly too high. We will not be staying there again. There is no free parking nearby.
12/04/2026: A very nice, very clean hotel with a warm welcome and excellent service. I was delighted with my stay and the view was beautiful.

03/07/2026: I bought a salad to take away to work, and to my surprise, there was no dressing. The person didn't give me any, and there was nothing in the salad. At €9.40 for a salad, it's outrageous.
