30/07/2026: Nice establishment, but disappointed by the quality of the meat… we came to try the brazier. We chose chicken and beef. The meats were of mediocre quality. The beef was tough and sinewy, so not enjoyable. The chicken was standard. The concept is very good, though. Offering higher-quality meats seems necessary given the price. And why not offer marinated meats…? In short, we left disappointed.

22/07/2026: It's not your typical family pizzeria. They require one pizza per person at the table. If you go with children, you have to order one pizza each, which is excessive. The pizzas are good, though.
21/07/2026: We were able to get a table late and had a delicious meal. Friendly service! The pizzas are amazing and the tiramisu is truly fantastic. We will definitely be back here 👍🏻

16/07/2026: The terrace overlooking the pedestrian street is fun. The service is pleasant and very friendly. I was a little disappointed that the food wasn't flavorful enough (in my opinion) for Asian cuisine. I expected to find more Vietnamese flavors in my beef with onions, which was nevertheless very good. I still recommend it for the change of scenery and the pleasure of meeting a genuinely Vietnamese family (what a joy to hear the language spoken again!).

Here, everything is perfect:

Finally, a restaurant where you don't leave hungry… quite the opposite 😄

The building is charming.
Parking is easy, you can enjoy lunch in the shade,
And the food is delicious! A melt-in-your-mouth leg of lamb, delectable desserts,
The staff is incredibly attentive.

10/07/2026: What can I say?! A very warm welcome in a beautiful vaulted cellar. A lovely, shaded terrace on a charming little pedestrian street lined with lovely shops. The food is absolutely delicious. We had the lamb trilogy with ratatouille and sautéed potatoes. A delight! Absolutely perfect! The desserts are just as good, and this trilogy allows you to try and appreciate dishes you've never tasted before. The prices are very reasonable. Go for it, don't hesitate any longer, you'll leave satisfied with this gastronomic experience!

But the restaurant is located with a good view of some of the city.

01/08/2026: We arrived at noon for a drink, but the waiter refused us service because the terrace is reserved for meals between noon and 2 pm... Strange business policy.
I'll definitely be eating elsewhere now, no problem.

I've eaten here twice in a short period and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The burger was incredible, very good! The fries were great too, the only downside was the steak tartare, which wasn't hand-cut.

07/08/2026: After ordering our drinks, we were brought a glass cracked all over, then some stale bread…
Unfortunately, after waiting almost 40 minutes for our food, the tomatoes had no taste whatsoever; it was disappointing.
Avoid this place.
02/08/2026: A lovely little brasserie where I came this Sunday at lunchtime... I ordered a rare ribeye steak, cooked exactly as requested. The only slight downside was the gratin, which was a little lukewarm, but I ate it anyway. The Roquefort sauce was very good. The service was perfect, with smiles and a very pleasant atmosphere... I was just passing through and I would gladly return.

The hotel is very well located.
The staff were very friendly.
What will make us return is Mr. Michel's warm welcome; we have rarely seen someone so attentive to their guests.

Hotel restaurant la nouvelle citadelle

03/05/2026: The room was quite dilapidated, with significant damage to the walls, a broken shutter that wouldn't close, cobwebs, dead insects, and accumulated dust on the baseboards and pipes. There was mold and grime on the shower hose, the bottom of the glass, and in the corners of the shower tray. The toilet was so small that a seated adult man's knees hit the door. The bathroom ventilation was so noisy it was unbearable. There was no soundproofing between the room and the rest of the hotel. The TV was very small, propped against the wall by a bath towel. The patio door didn't close properly. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable, and the view of Sainte-Baume and the citadel was pleasant. However, considering the state of the room, the price was clearly too high. We will not be staying there again. There is no free parking nearby.
12/04/2026: A very nice, very clean hotel with a warm welcome and excellent service. I was delighted with my stay and the view was beautiful.
