16/08/2026: Disappointing experience. The spicy beef soup (noodles) didn't taste good, and there was an extremely bitter ingredient at the bottom. The amount of beef was also very small for the price, especially considering the soup's poor taste. What's really problematic is that the noodles were completely unrecognizable, both visually and in texture. They were all stuck together, inseparable no matter how hard you tried, so you had to bite into them instead of sucking them up. They were also incredibly thin, so they didn't resemble noodles at all, resulting in a terrible texture: a pasty, mushy mess with tiny bits of pasta in your mouth—nothing like noodles at all. Furthermore, the customer service was poor. The waitress gave us water that wasn't even cold, despite the sweltering heat, so we had to ask for cold water. And she doesn't keep an eye on the customers at all, so we had to keep asking for more water ourselves, whereas the server should be observing and refilling the water if customers finish theirs, especially in this very hot weather. I also found the restaurant not very clean, as there were traces of grease and sauce on the table. This restaurant is not good at all, so I won't be going back, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

01/09/2026: Friendly welcome. Pleasant servers. Table cleared relatively quickly. Wide selection at the buffet. Hot dishes were at the right temperature. Excellent wok! Good value for money for a weekday lunch.

05/07/2026: After several years away from this establishment because the service wasn't great, I thought maybe it would be better now... but no... the shrimp with salt and pepper was definitely reheated from the day before... the beef with rubbery onions... the food was tasteless... even the fruit in syrup wasn't good... The only positive point was the very affordable price.

09/03/2026: This restaurant, which has been rather criticized in the past, is now a very good place to eat typical Asian cuisine 👍. The dishes are hot and tasty, the service is quick and friendly, and the decor is really cheerful 😄.

15/07/2026: The "pho" soup has nothing to do with pho. It's just a soup, quite bland, I didn't like it. And the price is quite high: 16 euros for just a scoop of soup with chicken breast and a few pieces of pork. The rice noodles in the soup were okay.

06/09/2026: Excellent value for money! Thai street food. Generous portions and frankly very good. Prepared fresh. I enjoyed a Tom Yum Khun soup and a beef salad. Delicious! Order at the counter and your food is served at your table. Just steps from République beach.

17/04/2026: A clump of hair in my takeout! Not just a stray hair, no, a whole clump! The manager on the phone refused to give me a refund and wouldn't offer me a voucher. She vaguely suggested I write down my phone number somewhere for next time. But after finding that clump of hair in my dish, I'm never going back! I paid for a meal I threw away without even touching it. Avoid this place at all costs!

17/08/2026: I stumbled upon this little shop, Great Wall, on my way to the train station. The Chinese-French owner was somewhat like the owner of the Japanese drama "Midnight Diner." She confidently declared, "If it's not on the menu, and you want any authentic Chinese food, as long as there are seasonal ingredients, I can make it." And sure enough, beyond the menu, I found some truly home-style braised eggplant and diced chicken in Saumur—so delicious! I was so engrossed in the meal that I forgot to take pictures. The stir-fried beef was also excellent; I did take a picture of that. During our chat, the owner recounted her many years living in France, expressing her deep emotions. In early 2020, she and her husband were visiting relatives in Wuhan. At a critical moment, the French government sent a special plane and a young, handsome military medical team to bring back all the expatriates, including the couple. Upon arrival in Paris, the Prime Minister greeted them at the airport, police escorted them, and a convoy of buses took them directly to a very nice resort for quarantine and observation. All their food, lodging, and medical care were free. Upon completion of the two-week program, special buses were arranged to pick up the overseas Chinese from their respective hometowns and take them back home. The Prime Minister also visited the resort again to see them off. Upon returning to her hometown of Saumur, neighbors immediately came to inquire about her well-being and offer assistance. This is why she and her husband have always deeply loved Saumur and run their business there.

06/08/2026: Excellent restaurant, highly recommended! Besides the delicious, generous meal for a reasonable price, the owner was incredibly sweet and kind. She even showed us how they make Jiaozi!

06/09/2026: Hello, we had a wonderful evening on Saturday night, even though it had been a long time since our last visit. Nothing has changed, everything is exactly the same! ☺️ The welcome was fantastic, with kind smiles and delightful little touches (they brought us wipes because we had shrimp 🍤), which were excellent, and the various fish dishes were also delicious. Your cocktails 🍸 are always excellent. Thank you for this lovely time; we will be back with the family 😉

24/08/2026: We came for dinner as a group of four one August evening and were disappointed by the quality of the food, which was honestly some of the worst I've ever had in a buffet restaurant of this type. The food was really bland, even tasteless. As for the spring rolls, I'm not usually picky, as I love supermarket spring rolls, but I couldn't finish these. Even the desserts (ice cream, fruit) were tasteless. On top of that, the waiter got our cocktail order wrong... The decor, however, was pleasant and suited the restaurant's theme.

03/09/2026: An Asian restaurant I frequent. It's good. All-you-can-eat buffet, as is often the case in this type of restaurant. There's always room.

03/09/2026: I've been a regular at this restaurant for years. The last time I went, I noticed a decline in quality. At my wife's insistence, we went back yesterday, and... I can confirm that the decline in quality is very real, even worse than last time. I'd even add that replenishing the buffet is sluggish... Nothing is right anymore. The spring rolls are mushy, as are the stir-fried noodles. I used to like the place, but that's definitely over now. Even my wife was surprised by the poor quality of the food, noting that the steamed dumplings looked expired.

17/08/2026: Mixed feelings about our visit this Saturday at lunchtime. The restaurant was quite quiet, and we were greeted and seated quickly. We were disappointed with the meal. The sushi wasn't fresh, some dishes were barely warm, and some of the fried food was very hard; we even wondered if it had been reheated. We found a long black hair in our stir-fried noodles. We don't know if it came from the kitchen or from the customers when they served themselves. The caramel chicken was very good, as were the spicy shrimp. The staff cleared the plates very quickly. It had been a while since we'd been here. But we were disappointed with our meal; the quality has declined, which is a shame because it doesn't make us want to come back.

09/08/2026: The place is pleasant, but the quality of the food leaves much to be desired. We're regulars at this restaurant, but several times now we've left with stomach aches that persist the next day. The chef comes out of the kitchen to check on the dining room, and the waitresses barely give us time to put down our plates. Despite the wide selection, the quality is disappointing. Perhaps this needs to change; until then, I won't be going back.
