13/03/2024: The gourmand dog was excellent. This place really only does one thing, but does it really well. The housemade fries were also really good, but portion was a little small for 2 people. The host was very accommodating. The hours are very short, only open 3 hrs per day. Outdoor seating is very limited. No indoor seating
29/02/2024: To each their own, of course, but I think it's the best hot dog I've ever eaten. The caramelized onions smell good as soon as you approach them, the bread is soft, the cheddar is perfect, and the sausage is not plastic, no complaints...
And the fries are homemade, really...
It's run by two nice people, the terrace is very small, but it's worth it!

26/03/2024: Beautiful bookstore which offers a wide variety of books in different languages. In particular, there are a lot of books for learning in different languages!
The drinks are very good, for reasonable prices!
24/03/2024: Authentic place with a great choice. We really appreciated the calm and studious atmosphere of the upstairs, the more library and tea room side of the ground floor. The staff is responsive and gentle, perfect for this welcoming café bookstore. We will come back

30/03/2024: Always as good and generous service, the pitas are well garnished and the falafels, the sauce, the bread and the potatoes are delicious! In addition, the person we often see is very friendly, it's a good place to eat well at good value for money 🧆
26/03/2024: Very good little restaurant to eat in Aix. I highly recommend. The dishes are copious, excellent and homemade! The service is impeccable, the prices affordable, in short an essential address if you want to eat easily and very good in the historic center of Aix en Provence

30/03/2024: Super accommodating, even for an American that does not dress very well! The food is amazing as always and the portions are very fair, especially given the quality and presentation.
Would highly recommend.

We had the menu, just incredible. The taste, the alchemy of food, the visual appearance of your plate...
Very cute and warm service.
Little extra for the open well at the top of the stairs that lead to the toilets!
It's a shame we're not from the area but it will be a pleasure to come back if we pass by!

04/04/2024: Le lieu niché dans la campagne aixoise est très agréable, les différents espaces sont joliment décorés.
La cuisine est très aboutie : mention spéciale pour le poulpe en entrée et le dessert à la violette délicat et original.
Nous reviendrons.

I came with a friend who is a mother and we were received like bosses: kindness, helpfulness... it's rare these days :)
Plus, animals are allowed so that’s great.
The restaurant is of high quality and the service is top notch.
I recommend and I will come back with my family in July 2024, it is planned.

the reception hall needs a facelift
03/04/2024: You’d think as a loyal Accor client who books directly with the hotel (saving them 25% commission) I’d get a tiny teeny benefit? No. Not at all.
No room upgrade. Had to wait for the room to be ready (admittedly I arrived 2 hours before 15:00. No free breakfast,. No free parking (€25 per day).
The pre paid rate is not cheap either. Breakfast would be an extra €22 per person! Ouch.

30/03/2024: A bit of a sad thing. They forgot my order, I waited 30 minutes, then I paid too much in my opinion. I found out that they charge for bringing it to the table??? I paid twice as much for a small beer, which cost PLN 3.6 on the price list, and I received the shrimps from the lady who prepared them next to me. I got 5 shrimps instead of 12 (because they ran out) + an oyster as a gift (which I ended up paying for).
French friends say that this is the first they have heard of charging extra for service.
I am disappointed.

27/03/2024: Delightful!!!’ Hearty, genuine food. Lively atmosphere and server/owner. For people who love food, local wine and joie de vivre. Our absolute favourite dinner in France so far! (We spent a week in Paris 🙄). Local ingredients in no way compromises the level of this food - it showcases them!
