25/02/2026: A wonderful discovery while passing through Guebwiller ✨ This pastry shop is a true gem: an elegant tea room, tastefully decorated, where you immediately feel at ease. The display cases make you want to try everything—the pastries are as visually stunning as they are delicious! The selection is varied, there's something for everyone, and each creation seems crafted with great finesse and expertise. The welcome is warm and very friendly. A perfect spot for a sweet treat or a refined moment over tea. I highly recommend it, but be aware, it's not for every budget.

21/02/2026: I've been a customer for over 20 years, since in high school we used to buy pastries there when we'd saved up a little pocket money. These days I only go very occasionally, whereas just three years ago I was going every week… but the €1 price increase on almost every pastry, every three months for the last two or three years, really makes me think they're taking advantage of the customer. Has there been such a radical change in the products themselves? It doesn't seem so to me; the signature pastries are more or less the same. So, the price increase for the ingredients is understandable, but then how do you explain that many high-quality pastry shops in the area don't have the same price point at all? They sometimes use much more refined piping techniques or trompe-l'œil effects, requiring real pastry expertise, unlike the cookie niche you're exploiting, and their prices are higher than Cédric Grolet's. The same goes for your doughnuts: €6.50 for a pistachio doughnut when Cédric Grolet offers a pistachio croissant doughnut in Paris for €5.50! Of course, you'll tell me he sells in quantity, but what about you? Do you make them just to throw them away? Because I doubt your pastries always find a buyer since they're not affordable for everyone. And for those who can afford them—and I'll speak for myself—I can spend without counting if it's worth it, but when others come along or surpass your level and sell their products for €3 less each, I'm sorry, but I come to buy a pastry, not to take out a bank loan. I really hope you'll see reason (the post about the manala in December already gave you bad publicity for people who didn't know you, and I think you lowered your price; yes, €4.50 for a manala is shocking, and that's understandable!).

09/01/2026: Catastrophic! Many products have no prices displayed, and once you've consumed them, the prices are exorbitant! Literally a tourist trap! €7 for a beer €8.50 for a hot dog €2 extra per item if eaten on the premises. Report filed with consumer affairs department.

05/03/2026: We stopped by this McDonald's last night as a family and received a very warm welcome. The staff was very friendly. We enjoyed a good meal in a clean restaurant!

16/01/2026: The service is pleasant, the terrace comfortable in summer, and the tarte flambée is good, but I didn't understand why we couldn't order tarte flambée "to follow." I traveled 5,000 km from Canada to see my friends, and the kitchen refused to allow this principle, which is so universal in Alsace. Everyone has to order their tarte flambée at the beginning of the meal. It's also stated rather insistently that each customer must pay for one dish, as if we were going to leave with one tarte flambée to be shared among four. This detracts from Alsatian hospitality. It's a shame, especially for someone like me, an Alsatian living in Montreal, who promotes my native region.

03/01/2026: The food is barely decent, and you have to order a separate dish for each person, even if they're children. Definitely weird.

16/11/2025: We had pfanalas, the food wasn't bad, but it's inconceivable to sell them for more than 8 euros. They're sold for 15 euros, way too expensive for what they are.

11/02/2026: Local bakery Good product but relatively expensive for what it is The Greek salad is €7.20. At that price, you could at least use fresh lettuce instead of that disgusting bagged salad, especially since it's 80% lettuce 🤦

08/02/2026: The staff were pleasant and friendly. However, they were having coffee and chatting while the tables were dirty and we had to clean them ourselves. The hot sandwiches were overpriced for a sausage in a piece of bread with Gruyère cheese... or a piece of bread with a steak and Gruyère... you end up eating more bread than anything else... The food therefore gets a poor rating... I won't be returning to a Poulaillon.
