13/11/2025: An unexpected experience: a charming little place, with a distinctly 1960s French cinema feel, a perfectly genuine owner who cooks with his heart, and the food is delicious! Here, you can chat with your table neighbor over a toast to the sounds of Brassens while Boris, the lively host, recounts the history of the inn and his culinary creations—traditional and flavorful dishes. Everything is homemade. Children are very welcome and won't be bored. Note: reservations are recommended, as it's always full (contact Boris via La Chaumière's Facebook page on the day of your visit; he can't answer the phone: he's in the kitchen!).

07/12/2025: Disappointed. We hadn't been for a while. We went back for a birthday and left hungry. Usually, when we go to this type of restaurant, we discuss the boldness of the flavor combinations, the perfect temperature, the beautiful presentation, that little something extra that makes it special… That wasn't the case this time. It wasn't bad, but nothing exceptional stood out. We ordered the six-course wine pairing menu. The service was subpar, starting with the owner, who constantly addressed us as "ladies and gentlemen" and spoke so loudly that we could barely hear the waiter describing the dishes. The wine glasses (three different ones) were poured exclusively by the owner, and the price difference between the first and third glasses was literally double. We have a good knowledge of Michelin-starred restaurants in Paris, France, and Europe, and therefore I feel entitled to give my opinion (which was unanimous, by the way; there were four of us). In short, we won't be going back.

06/12/2025: A very pleasant surprise. Refined and delicious dishes, perfectly paired wines, everything is beautiful and bursts with flavor! A slight preference for the earthy dishes.

26/09/2024: I eat there often with my family and we are never disappointed. The cuisine is top notch and the staff charming. In my top 3 of the best addresses in Vésinet without hesitation 👍

02/10/2024: It certainly wasn't bad but the portions (especially the duck) couldn't be more stingy, plus it's just one menu otherwise it's the vegetarian menu (very close to the main menu but without the "small" meat. No wifi even though there is no reception in the restaurant and the menu can be consulted by QR code (note that since we have no choice it's not too serious...) You cannot choose the cheeses you want on the cheese platter which is not rolling, it is the owner who chooses what you will have (result: avesnes meatball, garlic cheese which is difficult to access). Average dessert. Meal too long (3 hours). As expensive or even more than a one star in Paris while this restaurant clearly does not deserve it. It's a disappointment overall.

30/09/2024: I didn't appreciate either the unpleasant welcome (apart from a nice waitress) or the vegetarian menu. On the other hand, the effort to use local products is quite interesting and the setting is pleasant. Complicated parking in front of the restaurant

21/08/2025: We are a large group of local moms and we have tried many restaurants in the loop to organize our evenings once a month. This is the only one that offered us a private room, personalized service with a daily menu for us (we always order lots of chocolate fondants and the kitchen team always plans them in advance when we come for example) and which always welcomes us with such pleasure!!! The decor has been redone recently which gives it a new look. The service team is great every time!! and the boss is adorable!! Not to mention that we always eat very well for a more than reasonable price in the center of Vésinet. I totally recommend it!!!
