And then they tell me that American chains are expensive... an espresso with water added... €3.20... I had to wait a good 15 minutes afterward to be billed... the server was preoccupied chatting with regulars on his chair and at their tables... I had to get up and politely ask for the bill. I asked to pay by credit card, and he kindly told me that he only accepts cards for amounts over €10. I asked in the same tone if the information was posted at the entrance or at the checkout, and he replied: "Well, yes, it's a €10 minimum for all credit card payments…" so he didn't answer my question, and the display wasn't in order. He still accepted my credit card payment, having not anticipated any change since there was no display indicating this. I left with a bitter taste and slightly disappointed by this experience. You mention bank fees. I was a merchant for three years and I experienced this situation. These fees should be negotiated with your banker to reduce them. FYI: Refusing to pay for a contactless payment of less than €10 will cause you to lose a certain number of customers... When I came, I asked for a long coffee, not a large coffee. So you charged me more for my coffee and served me something other than what I initially requested. Soundproofing was inadequate: on weekends, noise from nightlife could be disruptive (waking up around 5 a.m.). On the plus side, the bedding was very good quality. The lack of a physical reception made the experience feel somewhat cold and impersonal: instructions were sent by email and keys had to be collected at the entrance. However, the central location was a real advantage, allowing quick access to amenities. The price-quality ratio was still acceptable.

The cold dishes weren't too bad, but the hot dishes were very disappointing: the scrambled eggs were undercooked or powdered, and the lasagna was poorly prepared. Only the gratin dauphinois and the sausages were enjoyed by our friends. As for the hot drinks: decaf was extra, and the coffee was "American"...

We wanted to flee as soon as we arrived after being subjected to an inappropriate remark for being 8 minutes late. The atmosphere was icy, the dining room empty (we were the only customers, and I understand why now), no music, the owner barely polite, and the chef in the kitchen detestable. As for the food, it was horribly expensive for such mediocre quality. And not a single vegetarian option! Honestly, Strasbourg is full of great restaurants, but this one is to be avoided at all costs. And that's coming from a Strasbourg native!

09/03/2026: A very bad experience. We were two adults with a baby and we simply sat down at a table for five. The waiter, who was particularly unpleasant, came over and told us to leave almost immediately, as if we were in the way. What's incomprehensible is that several other tables of five were occupied by only two or three people, without any problem whatsoever. Clearly, the rules aren't the same for everyone. There was absolutely no friendliness, no sense of hospitality, and even less understanding, especially since we were with a baby. A truly unacceptable attitude for someone who's supposed to work in the service industry. I strongly advise against going to this establishment.
