07/03/2026: Le Pilier des Anges is located on the street directly opposite Strasbourg Cathedral. It's well-situated and quite lively because it's a pedestrian street, so you won't see any cars, just tourists, tourists, and more tourists, all mesmerized by the place. The service is excellent, and the food is simply divine. It's a great spot to enjoy French cuisine with a German twist, creating an incredible fusion.

24/02/2026: The ambiance was good, the bartender was friendly, but she was working alone, which meant that getting our food and paying took longer than expected. We ordered a cordon bleu and a tarte flambée; the portions were huge, so I had to leave half of my side dish. The cordon bleu was absolutely delicious, and the tarte flambée with feta cheese was equally good. The final bill was higher than expected, but acceptable. The menu could be accessed online via a QR code, and the preferred language could be selected.

09/03/2026: A very bad experience. We were two adults with a baby and we simply sat down at a table for five. The waiter, who was particularly unpleasant, came over and told us to leave almost immediately, as if we were in the way. What's incomprehensible is that several other tables of five were occupied by only two or three people, without any problem whatsoever. Clearly, the rules aren't the same for everyone. There was absolutely no friendliness, no sense of hospitality, and even less understanding, especially since we were with a baby. A truly unacceptable attitude for someone who's supposed to work in the service industry. I strongly advise against going to this establishment.

16/03/2026: We've had stomach aches since yesterday's brunch; the food wasn't fresh, it had gotten warm. The cold cuts and pastries were all mass-produced. The scrambled eggs and sausages were lukewarm and overcooked. We won't be going back.

15/03/2026: Pleasant atmosphere. A winstub feel. We ordered the dish of the day: braised beef, and the chef's suggestion: onion tart. The plates were well-presented and generous. The prices were reasonable. A great find!

09/03/2026: The staff are friendly, but unfortunately that's the only positive point. The meat is clearly processed and of very poor quality 😑. I knew this place a few years ago: it was a very good restaurant. Today, it's become low-end food sold at exorbitant prices. Very disappointing. Avoid it. ☹️

24/03/2026: I'd never gotten around to leaving a review before, but this was my favorite place to eat between classes! Delicious and fresh poke bowls with consistently friendly service.

08/03/2026: After ordering a bowl from a delivery platform, I realized that the standard size is enough to feed a 7 or 8-year-old. The flavors are good, but €10 for three squares of salmon and 50 grams of rice is unacceptable. Be more generous and customers will come back; increase the size of your bowls.

09/02/2026: Old veal, tomatoes that felt overcooked, mixed salad with cucumbers. The bread was good, though. Fries were still a bit cold inside and tasted like they'd been air-fried. Not recommended.

15/02/2026: The room was quite small and lacked any particular charm, with closet doors that only opened partially. Soundproofing was inadequate: on weekends, noise from nightlife could be disruptive (waking up around 5 a.m.). On the plus side, the bedding was very good quality. The lack of a physical reception made the experience feel somewhat cold and impersonal: instructions were sent by email and keys had to be collected at the entrance. However, the central location was a real advantage, allowing quick access to amenities. The price-quality ratio was still acceptable.

16/01/2026: A lovely little town hall! The receptionist was incredibly kind, thank you. The hotel is very well located! Everything is within walking distance. Before my stay, I was worried about noise because of the reviews. While it's true we could hear some street noise, it didn't stop us from having a good night's sleep!

22/02/2026: Cappuccino should be made with an Espresso and foamed Milk. This tastes more like a light Lungo with a bit of foamed Milk. 😕 it was hot and they have soy milk, so 3 stars…

21/02/2026: I asked for the bill and to pay by card. It never came. I think they were just too lazy, given how few people were there... next time I'm leaving without paying. It's truly pathetic how young people work...

14/12/2025: The interior atmosphere was nice; it would have been better if the lighting inside the restaurant were brighter. The food quality was good, but the kebab meat was a bit tough, and the filling inside the dolma was small compared to its relatively high price.
