09/04/2026: I spent New Year's holiday here with my girlfriend. The hotel is very welcoming and perfectly connected to the city center by tram. The rooms are small but warm and clean, with tv and air conditioner. The only negatives : the bed was a bit creaky and the pillows were too low. Overall, a good stay for a couple!

07/05/2026: Terrible service; the order taking and the waitress's friendliness need improvement—she seemed more preoccupied with her phone than with the customers. Orders not followed. Music too loud.

03/05/2026: Manolya Kebab… what happened to you? You're one of the most renowned kebab shops in Strasbourg, but I was disappointed. The yufka I ordered was made with a tasteless, cardboard-like, industrial bread. Other, lesser-known kebab shops already offer homemade bread. And as for the meat, it tasted like it had been mechanically separated, with bits of cartilage. I understand that the meat comes from factories and is sometimes frozen, but even then, it's possible to select quality spit-roasted meat. Profitability shouldn't take precedence over quality, especially with your reputation and the tourist traffic. I've eaten at about 80% of the doner kebab shops in Strasbourg, and I think I have a point of reference when I say that this one is overpriced for what you get. I hope you'll take these comments into account and finally offer a quality that lives up to your reputation.

25/03/2026: We came here for lunch and were able to sit outside in the sunshine. The wall provided welcome shelter from the wind, and the adjacent street wasn't too busy. The service was very friendly, and our order was taken quickly. However, we had to wait quite a while for the food itself. Perhaps it was very crowded inside, perhaps because we were sitting outside out of sight, or perhaps the kitchen was taking longer than expected. In any case, the wait was ultimately worth it. We ordered the beef bourguignon with tagliatelle and a starter salad from the lunch menu. The salad was a bit sparsely presented, but tasty. It came with bread. The beef bourguignon was very tender, juicy, and well-seasoned. Excellent value for money.

05/05/2026: Ikea: The chain where profit matters more than the customer Ikea used to be a trusted brand for home decor and furniture. Unfortunately, they've decided to eliminate all the cashiers. After retrieving your boxes from the stockroom yourself, you now have to scan your purchases on the way out. Only one overworked student is tasked with addressing the numerous problems at the six self-checkout kiosks under his supervision. A Securitas security guard watches you throughout the process with an unpleasant, inquisitive eye, convinced that every customer is a closet thief. Self-checkouts were implemented in other stores to reduce waiting times. Not at Ikea. You have to queue to do everything yourself. One day, they'll ask us to sweep the floor on our way out. Since the checkout experience comes at the very end of the store, it leaves a rather disappointing shopping experience. I prefer to go to the Danish store in Vendenheim while waiting for the Jysk store in Kehl to open in June. There, you have a checkout counter where employees greet you with a smile. The complete opposite of the impersonal experience at Ikea. What a shame.

18/03/2026: University restaurant close to transport (bus and tram), varied menus, it's one of the best in Strasbourg in my opinion and the atmosphere is quite nice.

10/03/2026: Okay, but the portion sizes are a disaster. Plates aren't even a quarter full, and even if you ask for more, there's absolutely not enough—it's ridiculous. 3 stars because the desserts are slightly better than in other university restaurants. As for the staff, it's difficult to get a smile or anything friendly out of them, which is a shame.

22/02/2026: What a disgraceful experience tonight. The person who served me (a man) was extremely unpleasant and rude from beginning to end. He touched a cleaning product right before preparing my sandwich, without any precautions whatsoever, which is completely unacceptable from a hygiene standpoint. When I pointed this out to him, he became arrogant and told me he'd rather serve another customer. This behavior was unacceptable and deeply disrespectful. As for the sandwich, it was practically empty, with barely any ingredients. Paying for that is a disgrace. Between the lack of hygiene, the rudeness, and the poor quality, my visit to Subway tonight was a disaster. I will never set foot in there again.

28/04/2026: A pleasant surprise! I thought it was going to be a tourist trap with an overpriced menu. But the prices are actually very reasonable, the cocktails are good, and the food is too. The service was quick and the staff friendly. A great atmosphere for a game night.

28/04/2026: No nonsence, great value pizza, salad, and pichet of wine. The food and wine were delicious and the service efficient and friendly. It's not the smartest place but who cares?

20/04/2026: We definitely didn't come for the decor... The staff are absolutely lovely and the pizzas are excellent! Although the toppings were a little light on some. We'll definitely be back!

22/04/2026: Avoid at all costs!!! They can't serve you hot fries no matter what time you arrive. The tables are dirty, the staff is overwhelmed, and I waited over 30 minutes for an order at 10 PM when the restaurant was empty. And to top it off, the order wasn't even complete!!!
