17/06/2026: This hotel far surpassed my hopes and expectations. Websites can oversell a place with camera angles and photo edits and I was prepared to be slightly underwhelmed by L'Arlatan. Instead, I found that the hotel, restaurant, bar, and grounds were so phenomenal that the website actually undersold the space. It’s even more incredible in person. Everything was perfect - the comfort, coolness, and beauty of the rooms, the kindness of the staff, the stunning gardens and the phenomenal restaurant. Every detail is thoughtful and perfectly executed. I thought Arles would be a quick trip while passing through Provence but instead I’m already planning my next visit just so I can stay at L’Arlatan again. Thank you for an incredible experience!

This is due to the superb team now running the hotel, one of the most impressive collections of professional hoteliers you are likely to find, and a blessing for this small town. The new chef is amazingly good. The wine selection (Domaine de Deves) is top notch. Whether you are dealing with Maxime and colleagues on reception, or Lara and Pierre and Sarah and colleagues in events and the restaurant, you are in truly exceptional hands. And this team is allowing the L’Arlatan’s natural advantages of location and their superb decor by Jorge Prado to shine all the brighter. Thank you for a superb experience.

23/07/2026: We cycled by and stopped here for a quick break. Even though the kitchen was about to close, they still made us a delicious baked cheese. Then we had a tasty flan. This place is truly inviting. A chilled Ricard under shady trees. Wonderful.

23/07/2026: We arrived and a man with a white beard treated us terribly. First, he spoke to us as if he had no intention of serving us because we were Spanish. I asked him for Wi-Fi so I could communicate with him, and he ignored me completely. The second time I asked, he told me they didn't have Wi-Fi. We left devastated by the treatment; it's the first time I've felt unwelcome somewhere because of my nationality. This man shouldn't be working with the public. Thank you for making me feel so bad.

30/03/2026: The owner is really cheerful and kind. It put me in a great mood! I ordered two dishes he recommended, and the beer was cold and delicious. I arrived in the neighborhood early and didn't realize it wasn't open yet, so I went in because it was open... He asked me to make sure to come back in 15 minutes once they opened... he asked so cheerfully haha. I walked around the neighborhood and did an "open run," and he was so glad to see me that he gave me free beer and drinks haha. It's a place where the fun made the food taste even better!

25/06/2026: The restaurant is not air-conditioned, we came following recommendations and proximity to the museum and were disappointed, the steak was very thin. We ordered a salad that was half rotten and a dish with a fish based on a boba base that was just delicious but the fish was hard to eat. The waiter was very nice

23/07/2026: Not suitable for those like us who wanted to make do with a sandwich and a drink. I don't know about the quality of the other dishes, but the sandwiches left a lot to be desired. Nice atmosphere, rather aloof service.

06/06/2026: Review from a small group of 8 people. We found the setting very pleasant, the staff cheerful and very friendly, and the meals we ordered completely satisfied us. We highly recommend it!

30/06/2026: A very nice place offering excellent local produce; I loved the Daube de Taureau. Parking available.

20/06/2026: Restaurant. Very poor value for money. The chef is on vacation. They don't know how to cook a steak to medium-rare. The grilled cuttlefish is served hot, not cold. Awful.

10/07/2026: Terrible service. Consider not going. I was told that I couldn’t have an ice cube because I should have drunk my Perrier faster and that ice cubes were expensive. I still hardly can believe what just happened

07/07/2026: The manager is very arrogant and constantly corrects his customers to speak French "correctly." A little politeness and courtesy would be greatly appreciated.

11/05/2026: We happened to stumble upon it and were pleasantly surprised. The place is small but very quaint and the food is spectacular (the duck breast with potatoes is one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten).

20/07/2026: After eating, I saw other reviews and I'm not sure if we were at different places because we had the set lunch menu, which was filet mignon (pork tenderloin with mashed potatoes and Provençal sauce), and it was delicious. The service was excellent, and they even have misters that keep you cool. I definitely recommend it.

27/06/2026: Beautiful restaurant, excellent and refined cuisine, fair prices, and attentive service. I loved it. It was a midday meal for just a few of us, and the room was fabulously quiet. Fantastic.

24/06/2026: A restaurant in a 5-star hotel should be positioned accordingly. It's on par with a Novotel. Good, but not exceptional. The staff are friendly and helpful, but again, Novotel-level.
