Les meilleurs restaurants en Bayeux

22/09/2024: This restaurant has been on my "list" since our visit to Bayeux in 2014. So the minute I booked our hotel in Bayeux, I made our reservation at La Rapiere. It's a good thing too, because they were booked for the entire month of September. There is a good reason why this restaurant not only has a Michelin star but also stays booked months in advance. Linda along with her helper (I am sorry I can't remember her name) offers impeccable service and delicious food that is artfully plated. We opted for the €52.50 meal. The Mr. chose Foie gras, sea bass, and the profiterole. I had the oysters (4 raw and 4 cooked with garlic butter), the beef filet, and also the profiterole. We also had a carafe of Sancerre. This was a first class experience from start to finish. HIGHLY recommended.

06/08/2024: Everything was perfect. Mastered and tasty cuisine. The lovely and efficient staff. The decoration done with great taste. The value for money is truly exceptional. We hesitated to come back the next day to finish tasting the menu! We highly recommend and we will happily return.

06/08/2024: Bonbonne was recommended to us and we were absolutely not disappointed. The menu is more than affordable, the cocktails delicious, the service impeccable and welcoming, from starter to dessert we were delighted! Thank you for this fantastic carrot puree 🥰

19/09/2024: Superb discovery. Very good restaurant, impeccable service and quality meals (well done to the chef) small note for the boss: you can give a good bonus to your waitress who managed to manage the crowded room all by herself and always with a smile, well done miss one true champion. The setting is pleasant right next to the cathedral, a real moment of relaxation and for a very reasonable price. We will come back by booking of course because it is preferable.

17/09/2024: Das Abendessen im Restaurant La Normande war der gastronomische Höhepunkt unserer Reise durch die Normandie. Gediegenes und gemütliches Ambiente, fantastisches Essen und professioneller Service. Erwähnenswert sind die leckeren Cocktails und das butterzarte Rindsfilet. Spitzenklasse!

08/09/2024: It's always a great discovery to return to this restaurant with very affordable prices and welcoming and attentive staff. A treat for the taste buds with sophisticated, original and refined cuisine. Congratulations to the cook and the pastry chef for her choux 😉. Very good address, I recommend

07/09/2024: You need to book otherwise may be disappointed. Our meal was amazing as was the service. The vegetarian option was tasty but my escargot followed by lamb shank were awesome. The Fruits des Bois for dessert was inspired, I wanted two!!!!

12/09/2024: We had booked according to the internet notes, quite popular places it seems. We had a good welcome, the service was good too. We had a tournedos for €38, at that price, we expected a nice plate, well composed but no, simply a tournedos, alone on the plate, with a little pepper sauce served by the waitress. In itself it was good and cooked to order, but €38! In some restaurants, you would have Wagyu or Kobe at this price in relation to weight. We ended our day on this note, very disappointing. However, we will not all experience the same feeling, everyone has their own experience.

08/09/2024: Wine not served properly. We should have been offered a second glass for the second bottle (same wine). Also our server didn't understand the concept of letting the (red) wine breathe a bit first.

25/09/2024: Why is there no bread on the table with the dishes? Why don't the fries all look the same, sometimes not crispy and lacking in cooking?

06/09/2024: Welcome to a retro 70/80’s journey with the restaurant’s decoration. Not much choice on the menu but everything is homemade and very good. The Bagels are very good and well filled.

01/10/2024: This creperie is the restaurant we go to every time we pass through Bayeux. We had already enjoyed the terrace along the Aure. It's very nice. This year, the weather being uncertain, we chose the Moulin room. It’s a very beautiful room with an authentic atmosphere. As on previous occasions, we really liked the pancakes and pancakes that we tasted there. But above all we were very pleasantly surprised by the staff, smiling, attentive and very responsive despite the difficulty of working in a restaurant which has three different levels. Well done to the whole team!

30/09/2024: A reservation was a must. We had dinner, and while the waiter was very friendly, the service, like the food, was uneven. My son thoroughly enjoyed his oysters starter and duck main dish. The skate was also good. But I have to say the chicken main dish was almost inedible. Overcooked and dry. And I don’t believe it is meant to be served that way. Drinks were yummy. Dessert crepes were almost raw. So, a mixed bag for us.
