05/08/2026: I received a very poor reception from the staff. Being condescending when you work in such a modest environment is unacceptable. There are better ways to treat customers, especially if you want to keep them. I absolutely do not recommend this place.

22/07/2026: After a long weekend in July at Domaine de Lachaud with a group of over 20 people, it was unfortunately one of the worst stays we've ever experienced, as the state of the accommodation upon our arrival was unacceptable. After a 7-hour drive in sweltering heat, we had to spend over an hour cleaning ourselves to remove dozens of cobwebs from every nook and cranny (we filled two vacuum cleaner bags). Yet, the owner had assured us that the cleaning had been done three days prior… We clearly have different definitions of what constitutes a property ready to welcome guests. The bathrooms were also in a very poor state. The owner carried out a quick cleaning after we reported it, but it should never have been necessary. Furthermore, we discovered a hornet's nest above two windows in the bedrooms where we were staying. Hornets were entering the accommodation and flying overhead, creating a real sense of insecurity. The owner removed the nest afterward, but this should have been done before our arrival—it would have prevented a dangerous situation, especially since some of the birds were attacked. Let's talk about the so-called "gastronomic" meals. Fortunately, we didn't have to pay the €35 for the set menu, as it was included in the price of our stay, but it's hard to call it "gastronomic" given the quality: bland, tasteless dishes and Häagen-Dazs-style desserts in small tubs, like something you'd get in a school cafeteria. The only positive point was the beautiful view of the small pond, which helped to make up for everything else. In conclusion, the owner's attitude was particularly disappointing: on the day of our departure, when we simply tried to negotiate a gesture of goodwill given the numerous inconveniences we experienced during our stay, we were insulted. There was no openness to dialogue, no sense of customer service. In short: a place that deeply disappointed us, with indifferent and very unpleasant owners. We will never set foot in it again and obviously do not recommend this establishment.

18/07/2026: Our stay was very disappointing for several reasons. Upon arrival, we found that the cleaning hadn't been done: numerous cobwebs, dirty toilets, stained bedding; nothing was ready for us, the refrigerator wasn't plugged in, and we had to ask for sheets, toilet paper, and for the toilet to be cleaned. During the night, we were attacked and stung by hornets due to a nest located under the roof, which poses a real safety risk. Even though the cottage is located in the countryside, an inspection of the premises could have prevented this problem. The meals did not live up to the supposedly gourmet experience. In conclusion, I do not recommend this establishment.

11/04/2026: I can't comment on the food as we didn't eat there. We stopped for hot chocolate as a family this winter. The chocolate was good... the welcome was cold, even aggressive and insulting... in short, we won't be back, and everything has already been said...

26/04/2026: The hotel is permanently closed for liquidation.

12/04/2026: Our room was dirty (the bathroom hadn't been cleaned, and the bed frame was torn on one side, see photos). They kindly changed it for us (the manager was friendly), but the bad impression remained, and we were left with doubts. For those who enjoy dilapidation and questionable cleanliness, this is the perfect place. Breakfast, however, served in the only modern area of ​​the hotel, was plentiful and good. But otherwise, avoid this place!

28/04/2026: I bought a strawberry cake that was clearly several days old. The sponge cake was dry, the marzipan was also dry, and the strawberries had no taste whatsoever, all for the sum of 29 euros – they're taking the customer for a ride!

25/03/2026: I rarely leave negative reviews, but this time… beyond the fact that the cashier was really unpleasant, even aggressive, the chocolate éclair (€3) was rancid. Inedible. I've also tried the bread and pastries… mass-produced and not good. It's so sad; we really need a traditional bakery in the neighborhood.
