06/04/2024: I looked up the definition of a cider house on the internet: local place where cider is made. It's still a bad idea not to warn that cider is no longer available and to have the nerve to say that this hasn't been done for 15 years when 2 years before that was the case. Prices are increasing but the quality of food and service is deteriorating. Given the competition that opens up the choice will be quickly made!!! 😊😊

30/03/2024: Cider house in the historic center of Bayonne. There is a closed or a la carte menu. It is worth taking the menu. Cod omelette, Spanish-style hake and beef txuleta with lettuce. For dessert, nuts and cheese with quince. Everything, with the cider you want to serve from the barrels. Three-story building. Reservations are essential. Very attentive waiters. Without a doubt, a good place to eat and leave more than satisfied.

19/01/2024: I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Jean-Pierre for his warm welcome to the lands of the Basque Country. This authentic place offers an exceptional dining experience with family cuisine passed down from generation to generation. The proximity, the exchanges with the boss and the fresh products arriving in the morning add a unique dimension to this address, a true authentic and atypical gem to discover. A special mention for the trout which were simply excellent.

05/04/2024: Terrible service... The waitress forgot to send our drinks then she came back 30 minutes later to tell us "ah I didn't send the drinks". Yes indeed. Then, we waited 1 hour with our drinks before she came back to take our orders. Added to this is an extra hour for the starter and then the main course to be brought to us. We asked the same waitress for bread to eat the starter, she forgot us again. Fortunately, his colleague came towards us after several attempts on our part to attract his attention, but the entry was already over. Best of all, to conclude the meal, dessert was a half-frozen pana cotta. For a first in this restaurant, I am really disappointed.. 😒 The atmosphere with the DJ afterwards was great nonetheless. The only positive point of this evening.

31/03/2024: I ate for the first time, I am extremely disappointed. Already cold temperature where I was cold the whole meal, deplorable service, a wait of 2h30 for a meal, for a plate of charcuterie which arrived 1 hour later, not a carafe of water at the table it's at the customer was going to help himself, prime rib served with overcooked fries and no salad…… For a dessert that is supposed to be a Fontainebleau I had the impression of having a tasteless whipped cream, I have never seen that…… I strongly advise against this place….

22/03/2024: For a long time, many people from Pau have appreciated this restaurant. The service is now too formal for this address and the cuisine has lost quality, although it seems that the chef is the same... The company meals I work for usually took place at this address, and that's over.

04/04/2024: Great setting if you sit facing the sea. But, (pokebowl and bo bun), no sauce or seasoning, apart from soy sauce in a tube, you would find better at the supermarket. Sesame seeds not roasted, just raw vegetables... In the end, no flavor, disappointing for these 2 dishes

01/04/2024: Don't have any illusions, the superb view and the impression of nonchalance will cost you dearly, very dearly...for mediocre products! A pan con tomato will break your teeth, which is more like a stale toast with piperade and a sangria at 8 euros for 33 cl, poured directly in front of you from a Spanish bottle... which you buy for 1 euro for 2 liters of the other side of the border…nice tourist trap scam..

08/05/2024: Pleasant shop with welcoming staff. A small hint of disappointment on the Basque Gateau which has an almond taste with almond powder and no light rum cream. The cake was good, it is important to say, but sweeter. I was looking for a real Basque cake so I was disappointed... we have almond specialties in my region... I wasn't looking for that at all. In short, for an authentic Basque cake recipe it's not here but it's still good. Whatever anyone says, it didn't smell like rum enough unlike others tasted but that doesn't change my rating

08/05/2024: We have tasted several Basque cakes since our arrival in the region, these are the best we have tasted (with cream and chocolate), what a delight! The bread is just as good, we recommend!

07/05/2024: A hidden gem not to be missed. We stumbled upon this place and so glad we went in. We were amazed by the owner who did everything himself - ordering, serving and cooking. Presentation was fantastic too. Thanks for a lovely meal!

05/05/2024: Excellent, the dishes are refined. It’s beautiful and it’s good! A very pleasant evening as a couple around Basque gastronomy: talo, azkaina burger, Basque port and soft pistachio dessert and banana tart tatin. I recommend for gourmet gourmets. It's worth the detour if you pass near Ascain or St Jean de Luz!

01/03/2024: Meal on January 3, 2022 in this very pleasant restaurant. A warm welcome, a very good meal: kalaka salad.. Just.. Perfect.. And we have decent prices... I recommend.. January 3, 2023...we're coming back. Yes...it's still perfect Roasted Camembert with honey. Followed by a lost brioche (not for everyone 🤣) English caramel sauce..a treat.. delicious meal..thank you both for your welcome and your kindness...I persist...I recommend And here we go again..February 29, 2024 day in Bayonne.lunch meal roasted camenbert as good as ever..followed by a cappuccino..nothing changes good food..5 stars..we have no regrets..

27/01/2024: On a pretty little square, where you can enjoy the market on Friday mornings. The establishment is friendly, many workers, which gives a warm atmosphere. The cuisine is simple, but done with quality. We leave feeling satisfied, having had a good time. Plus, you won't find it cheaper anywhere else. I recommend.
