All the staff were very pleasant, attentive to our 2-year-old son, and very understanding and responsive when we needed our dessert so we wouldn't miss our train. An excellent place to discover.

I can assure you that the Midland Hotel is a fantastic establishment, both for its stunning setting (incredible architecture) and its staff: the manager and his brother in the kitchen make a wonderful team, with customer satisfaction at the heart of their work. And what can I say about the meals and breakfast? I've never seen anything like it in terms of presentation and selection: incredible. Congratulations to them!

25/01/2026: Excellent service! The chef offers superb cuisine using local produce, and the gentleman provides excellent advice along with a fine wine list. For example, we ordered duck parmentier paired with a Beaujolais red wine—perfect! Note that this gourmet restaurant also offers a very affordable set lunch menu from Tuesday to Friday.

28/08/2025: We dined at this restaurant on our way back from vacation. We had the €30 menu (appetizer, starter, main course, cheese, dessert). We enjoyed ourselves from start to finish. The staff were very attentive. The chef came into the dining room at the end of the meal to see if we were happy. I highly recommend this establishment.

08/11/2025: A nice little bar/restaurant with exceptional decor featuring old advertising signs, a slot machine, a jukebox, a virtual phone, antique engravings, and a superb photo of the Arc de Triomphe with a beautiful vintage red Citroën DS in front of it. The food was good, but we could have easily eaten more. The service was friendly and pleasant. Regarding payment, if you wish to pay with holiday vouchers, only half the bill is charged.

19/01/2026: We'd already been in May... we loved being on the banks of the Allier River, the dishes catered for all tastes (three generations), and the welcome was so friendly. We came for a day in Vichy for the Christmas lights and booked again... I was a little worried it might be less pleasant in winter... pleasantly surprised... the blankets on the chairs, the heating system on the enclosed terrace... it was really lovely. The atmosphere and service were just as enjoyable... and everyone loved the meal.
