13/05/2026: We ate lunch at a restaurant today. Meal salad for €16 Contents of the plate: Salad for about 30 cents 4 tourtons (pastries) for about €2.50 A slice of raw ham, so thin you could see through it, for 50 cents Total €3.30 That's all for now. Just so you know. Not likely to go back anytime soon.

29/04/2026: I only went to the restaurant. Vintage decor but the food is good and the service was friendly.

02/03/2026: We were looking for a restaurant for Saturday night, and everything was booked except "Les Drailles." Not so surprising, really: The owner, who is also the pizza maker, is about as friendly as a prison guard. He refused to let us leave our dog in the car, even though we were in a small mountain resort (so much for nature!) and the restaurant was empty and would remain so all evening. My friend's pizza was burnt, and what about my partner's? I took a bite and found a staple. I told the waitress, "Management apologizes, but sometimes when they light the pizza oven fire with crates, the staples pop out." Unacceptable, isn't it? I was with friends, so I wasn't going to make a scene, but when I paid, they offered me a €2 scoop of ice cream for the inconvenience. Barely a glance, not a thank you. In short, shameful from start to finish. Since a good sketch is worth a thousand words, I'm adding, in my opinion, the photos from our evening.

01/05/2026: Excellent experience at Bistrot Gaby in Saint-Auban, in the heart of Provence. Warm atmosphere and very pleasant service. For starters, the foie gras was delicate and melted in your mouth. The smoked salmon main course was perfectly balanced, with a refined taste. And to finish, the lavender crème brûlée was simply delicious, original, and expertly prepared. Special mention to Mr. David for his exceptional service, always smiling and very professional. A place to recommend without hesitation!

01/05/2026: I went to this restaurant and had a very good experience. The service was attentive and pleasant from beginning to end, which made the meal even more enjoyable. The foie gras was very well prepared, with high-quality ingredients. You could also tell that the fish of the day was fresh and expertly cooked. Finally, the desserts were excellent: the lavender crème brûlée had a delicate and original flavor, and the chocolate fondant was simply delicious. A place I highly recommend.

07/03/2026: I took advantage of the hotel restaurant during my business trip. The dishes were simple but tasty, homemade with local produce. These unassuming little restaurants are hidden gems that I highly recommend.

04/05/2026: We were three couples out for a stroll in Annot, looking for a restaurant on a Monday at lunchtime. We stopped at Au Café du Commerce where we received a warm welcome. The various set menus we ordered were excellent. I highly recommend this place.

07/05/2026: A noisy, working-class restaurant with a pleasant terrace. It's a shame my warm Camembert was served cold, the cheap shoulder ham was disgusting, the rest of the charcuterie was very good, and the salad dressing or the bottle of vinegar must have been poured directly onto my plate, making it inedible. Overall, a very mixed experience for a €15 dish. It's a pity because it wasn't haute cuisine, but it was comforting at its core.

05/05/2026: A pure moment of bliss! The owner is funny, always full of humor, and the daily specials are fantastic—you can't go wrong eating there. A minor complaint about the ice cream, but the desserts are always top-notch. A special mention for the fig tart.

14/03/2026: The welcome was pleasant, the service decent, and the setting rather nice. Unfortunately, that's about where the positives end. Given the prices, one would legitimately expect the food to be of a higher standard. But the food falls far short: it's very disappointing and clearly not worth the price. The prevailing impression is that this establishment prioritizes its location and transient tourists more than the actual quality of its cuisine. The setting is attractive, but the dining experience doesn't live up to expectations. What's most surprising is that several negative reviews already mention the same problems. It's probably time the establishment took these comments into account rather than continuing to ignore such recurring criticisms.
