02/06/2026: Amazing pizza and pasta here with fantastic service.

05/08/2026: Le Bastide de Moustiers was a huge disappointment. Upon our arrival, we were greeted and shown to our room. We inquired about getting a small bite and they said they could prepare a charcuterie and cheese plate. A table was set but not worthy of a Michelin restaurant - the place mats were not ironed and there were no glasses or water. When we mentioned this we were told: “This is only a one star not restaurant not a three-star Ducasse restaurant.” We ordered a bottle of Perrier and we asked for some lemon, but we were told the restaurant had no lemons?? The charcuterie and cheese plates arrived were very plain – just two slices of common ham and two slices of smoked meat. The cheese plate only had goat cheese – nothing else. There were no napkins or bread - it took15 minutes to get napkins and bread. We asked for two glasses of rose and that also took 10-15 minutes. The salad had some leaves that were spoiled and had turned black. We complained at the reception. They called the Directrice, Sarah Chailan. We complained to her about the terrible service. “I’m sorry – what do you want me to do about this.” She did not seem shocked by what had occurred nor did she seem very genuinely sorry. Her attitude only served to infuriate my wife and I further. She made no attempt to resolve the problem. 15 minutes later, she knocked on our door – her solution - send us to another hotel! We found this to be exceptionally insulting. We went to the pool and it was filthy. The property was full of weeds. The pool’s foot rinse was dirty and full of leaves. The pool was dirty and there was a big pile of dirty towels and water bottles. The pool house walls were full of mold. The umbrella stands were full of rust. Nothing evoked a luxury experience. This spot is in a lovely setting but is in bad disrepair. The service is truly awful and unless you want to spend $1000 or more on a run-down place with terrible service you should avoid this place.

15/05/2026: The pinnacle of hospitality/restaurant service. Small establishment, but big on class!

25/08/2026: The cappuccino was disgusting, the glass was dirty, it smelled bad, the coffee was watery, and the milk was awful. The service was terrible! The total for two cappuccinos was 8 euros—a rip-off! I don't recommend it.

19/08/2026: Unfortunately, a very disappointing experience. The young waitress was friendly, but the older one was truly unpleasant: rushed, unkind, and didn't give us time to choose our food at our leisure. The meal itself didn't impress us either, and I highly doubt it was homemade. We were also very surprised to see this same waitress eating with her fingers directly from the all-you-can-eat buffet… This behavior clearly raises questions about hygiene and professionalism. We won't be returning.

06/09/2026: Stop in Sisteron and lunch at the Grand Salon: brunch. Excellent and a warm welcome.

04/09/2026: Pleasant and very clean. Impeccable service, I felt very comfortable. Shaded terrace. And very good food.

24/08/2026: We went there recently as a group of seven. We had a very good meal, no complaints about the dishes. The ravioli were a real treat and incredibly generous. The service was quick and the welcome was pleasant. One minor drawback was the children's menu; it was a shame to receive a frozen cheeseburger that arrived almost cold. Perhaps they could offer ravioli in a smaller portion size for children, but that would be nice. My daughter tried my spinach ravioli and loved it. I recommend a visit to this restaurant.

25/08/2026: I stayed 3 nights... Absolutely inadequate value for money. The room looks like a broom closet. The bathroom has a sliding door with zero privacy. Stairwell carpet is smelly and full of stains. Parking is reserved, so to speak, since I had to leave my car outside for one of the 3 nights. The common areas are filthy. The breakfast room is decent and the selection is good, but not included in the price.

13/08/2026: Very convenient in the centre of Castellane for going out during the day and doing outdoor activities and enjoying the village in the evening.

18/08/2026: Well, when something's good, you have to say so! True pros who do simple, delicious food. Fast and friendly service. A short, easy-to-navigate menu. No ribeye? No problem, we'll just give you two nice hamburgers on your plate. Kids play in the charming little square while parents sip chilled rosé. Life, the real deal, with that touch of yesteryear. Thanks, team!

12/08/2026: We had the quiche three times and hid from the midday sun café gourmand for dessert our palates loved it

28/08/2026: Not much choice on the menu, the quality of the meat needs improvement, and there were only three dessert options. Plus, we were the first customers at lunchtime, so there was no excuse that the dishes had sold out before we arrived. Disappointed because the reviews seemed good, but I won't be going back.
