26/07/2026: I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant! We had a wonderful time. The welcome was warm, the service impeccable, and the entire team was incredibly attentive. Special attention was given to the chef, who came to our table twice to make sure everything was perfect. This thoughtful touch truly made a difference. The terrace is magnificent, peaceful, shaded, and offers a beautiful view of the village. As for the dishes, they are as beautiful as they are delicious: magnificent plates, generous portions, and bursting with flavor. A truly wonderful place that I recommend without hesitation. We will definitely be back!

The produce is fresh and local, and the food is cooked to perfection. The meat is amazing—not a single sinew in it. 22/05/2026: A little gem in a charming village nestled in the Ardèche region, close to must-see attractions. A lovely room with comfortable bedding, clean, and all the essentials. It's not a luxury hotel, but a charming inn. The meal was excellent, featuring quality, homemade ingredients. From the owner to the staff... everyone is welcoming, friendly, and warm. An address to remember; we will be back. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

18/08/2026: We ate at the Auberge de la Besse after seeing a video that presented the cuisine as regional and original (rooster's comb, pig's head, snails, parsley sauce, chicken liver pâté, crayfish coulis, etc.) for €45, but we didn't know much more. We were a little taken aback by the service, although very friendly: no menu (number of courses or allergies), no prices, and no list of aperitifs either, assuming we already knew what to expect. The wine list, although heavily redacted, is very well curated and reasonably priced (only by the bottle to see the price). The meal began with charcuterie and bread, followed by two soups, also with bread. The dishes weren't presented, and we asked about the menu when the third starter (beef carpaccio, which was very good) arrived, as it seemed like a long wait (two hours before the main course). The water ran out during the meal. We finished eating after three hours, a little disappointed despite the food being quite good and the staff remaining welcoming, although a bit overwhelmed. We paid €48 per set menu instead of €45 as indicated on the website and only discovered the price of our drinks at the register. I wouldn't discourage anyone from going there, but for the price of the set menu, we felt the food and service weren't up to par.

25/08/2026: 9 PM with two children, turned away even though the restaurant was empty. Not very customer-friendly! However, the pizzas are certainly very good… Anyway, no further comment.

24/08/2026: Just 300m from the campsite where we're staying!!! My son loved his ham and cheese pizza 👌🏽 and my mountain burger was a real treat. Warm and friendly welcome +++++

26/08/2026: We sat outside at the edge of the parking lot. Very friendly staff. The chicken nuggets in the kids' menu seemed homemade, or at least they weren't the usual frozen version. Burgers with pretzel buns were unusual. The café gourmand was very generous. The Italian-style steak tartare is recommended. Non-alcoholic cocktails were also available.
