Maison Kammerzell
Strasbourg
28/02/2026: There were three of us, and we had booked well in advance for this experience in this historic setting. Upon arrival, we were seated at a table for two in a corner of the room. It was difficult to sit down. My son, who is 1.85 meters tall, had to eat at an angle. I find it unacceptable to spend over 200 euros for this kind of comfort, even if the food was very good.
27/02/2026: The sauerkraut with three types of fish is excellent and very generous.
I highly recommend this dish.
However, the staff's welcome and service were mediocre. There was no explanation of the different types of fish, and the dishes were simply placed on the table without any comment. The least they could have done was wish us a pleasant meal!

17/03/2026: The restaurant is very conveniently located for train travelers.
The price-quality ratio is reasonable. The Alsatian specialties are good.
The staff is very welcoming.

Porcus
Strasbourg
02/04/2026: Delicious food, impeccable service. Attentive staff. We always enjoy our meals there – true moments of relaxation!
26/03/2026: Our last visit was a year ago, when we stumbled upon this butcher shop/restaurant.
We only went into the shop. They have fantastic products and a great selection. Unfortunately, my French is poor to very poor, but there was a saleswoman who spoke some German, thank you for that! We would have loved to buy more, but the language barrier remained, even though we all tried our best! At home, we tried the products and regretted not buying more – delicious, delicious, delicious! Kudos to the master butcher and his team!
We'll be back with a translator!

Au Bois Vert
Strasbourg
27/03/2026: Terrible service. They took forever to serve us; in fact, they served other tables faster and arrived late. We ordered bread and finished our meal, but it never arrived.
22/03/2026: Great location and view in Petit France. However again very poor service. The waiters are walking around aimlessly. We ordered some drinks and the waiter after twenty minutes later replied and confessed that he totally forgot about our order. Any how we managed to enjoy the atmosphere.

Brasserie La Nouvelle Poste, France
Strasbourg
11/07/2025: We had a rest here after our park tour. Friendly service and the tarte flambéed was tasty.
We were sitting outside, nice atmosphere
28/06/2025: La Nouvelle Poste is clearly a safe bet: the food is good, the drinks are even better, and above all... you're treated like royalty. A very special mention goes to Sergio, the master of service, always ultra-professional, fast, warm, with that charming Portuguese accent 🇵🇹. The guy is everywhere, always smiling, always attentive. A true masterclass in hospitality.
Thank you, Sergio, you take the art of service to another level.

Café Brant
Strasbourg
24/04/2026: Right next to the Russian consulate, which we visit regularly, easy parking, and above all, a chance to enjoy a pleasant moment around well-set tables and avoid Strasbourg city center, which is a real nightmare to navigate.
20/04/2026: We were greeted by Lucille and her smile, then the excellent service was provided by Sahra, and the pear tart was delicious.
I recommend this establishment.

20/03/2026: A very good restaurant where you always receive a warm welcome. The quality of the dishes is excellent, with carefully prepared and flavorful ingredients. Special mention goes to the menu, which changes with the seasons—a real plus!
Without a doubt, one of the best value-for-money options in the area.

La taverne des Serruriers
Strasbourg
01/12/2024: An excellent tarte flambée (mushroom gratin) which we enjoyed! Special mention for Chloé, an adorable waitress, whose kindness contrasts pleasantly with certain receptions that are sometimes a little cold in Alsace! The glowing reindeer in the corner adds a truly charming decorative touch. THANKS :)
28/11/2024: A typical, friendly establishment which offers delicious Alsatian cuisine and very friendly service. THANKS !

Le Dome
Strasbourg
26/03/2026: Lovely diverse menu with a little bit of everything for everyone. The staff were very attentive and the food was fantastic! We had the fish & chips and the servings were HUGE!!! Definitely get your money's worth here. Highly recommend! A+++++!!!!!
25/03/2026: Regardless of the fact it is near the Cathedral and an assumed tourist trap, I admittedly ate here during a downpour and in desperation of a dry place at dinnertime. Knowing it was in close proximity to the Cathedral gave me expectations (low ones) as tourist traps are always in the vicinity of monuments. But hey, I'm married, have kids who need to pee, and the rain is coming down. If not for that I would have avoided this place like the plague just because of the proximity to the Cathedral. I ordered the chicken Caeser, my wife had the french onion soup. My salad was garbage; the salad portions were all rough with brown ends. The chicken so stringy and fatty I needed a steak knife to get through them. My wife's french onion soup was worse. It didn't even resemble, nor taste, like what it should. The cheese on top of the soup was laid on a small piece of toast, like the cook didn't even care to make it look or taste right.
The food at dinner was gross, overpriced, and what I expected from a place so close to the Cathedral. If you find yourself in a rainstorm and without close dinner options while outside this restaurant then I'd only recommend sucking it up and walking a few streets over in the rain to find something semi-decent.

Restaurant Oberjaegerhof
Strasbourg
26/03/2026: Good food and a warm welcome once it's open, but if you arrive for lunch and are 15 or 5 minutes early, the staff will turn you away because you can't enter the restaurant before 12:00 sharp—an absurdity, especially in winter when you have up to 10 people waiting in the cold until it's exactly 12! These could be customers just starting to order drinks, like an aperitif! It's no better at the security office! I find this organization very unprofessional!
21/03/2026: A little gem of an Alsatian restaurant

Au Fond du Jardin
Strasbourg
17/04/2026: To step into Au Fond du Jardin is to fall down a velvet-lined rabbit hole, where the ordinary dissolves and wonder takes its rightful place.
Nothing here is merely made: everything is conjured. Each pastry is a jewel, nestled in its delicate case like a secret waiting to be unveiled. You hesitate before tasting, not out of doubt, but reverence. The craftsmanship is almost sacred, precise, passionate, obsessive in the most beautiful way. Even the paper carries a whisper of perfume, as though the experience insists on lingering just a little longer, clinging softly to your senses.
The décor drifts somewhere between rococo fantasy and dreamscape, gilded curves, intricate details, a theatrical elegance that feels both decadent and intimate. You half expect time to stop, or a clock to melt, or a hidden door to open if you dare to look closely enough.
And then, there is the feeling. That rare, fleeting sensation that you’ve discovered something precious, almost secret. A place where passion is visible, tangible, alive in every corner.
Au Fond du Jardin is not a pâtisserie.
It is a spell.
12/04/2026: An incredible experience, a journey!
