03/12/2024: Pasamos unos días en Estrasburgo y probamos varios winstubs. Entre ellos, la Vieille enseigne era el favorito de todos. Puede que no tenga el encanto de
Winstubs más viejos pero cuando se trata de la comida, absolutamente lo aplasta. Su choucroute fue de lejos el mejor que tuvimos y también lo fue su tarte a l oignon.
Los camareros están muy ocupados pero disfrutan conectando con personas que están interesadas en su región: uno de ellos nos hizo descubrir el más increíble eaux de vie (aguardiente de frutas)
Si yo fuera un lugareño, esto se convertiría en mi lugar para comer deliciosa comida local!

04/12/2024: Después de caminar pasando el día explorando los 12 Mercados de Navidad de Estrasburgo, fue un placer sentarse y disfrutar de una cena Kosher a las afueras del centro de la ciudad. El personal era amable y atento sin ser exagerado y la comida era excelente. Nuestro único problema era elegir qué comer!
Estando en Alsacia, sabíamos que pediríamos una especialidad regional, Tartes Flambe (Flamkuchen). ¿Pero cuál conseguir? ¿El Natural cubierto con crema y cebolla? ¿Con queso? ¿Setas? ¿Queso azul? ¿Queso de cabra, miel y nueces? ¿Salmón? 4 ¿Mezcla de quesos?
Fuimos con queso de cabra, miel y nuez moscada. Fue una de las cosas más deliciosas que he comido y se acompañó aún mejor con un vino blanco local. También pedimos un gratinado de patatas en rodajas finas al lado y tuvimos crema crujiente de postre. Nos fuimos decepcionados de que estábamos solo en la ciudad por una noche y no tendríamos la oportunidad de volver a probar la comida de nuevo.

18/12/2024: Place in the center in front of the cathedral, therefore a very tourist location. Despite everything, clean, correct and efficient service. I ate a very good Tarte flambee and from my point of view at a fair price. The elevated part of the restaurant with windows/overlooking the street is also beautiful.
18/12/2024: I had a delicious velouté there, very well seasoned, the place is perfect and the service very pleasant. I would happily come back!! 😊

21/09/2024: I’ve been to the best restaurants in the world and this place by far has blown me away. The tenderloin with the foie gra, is beyond amazing. The only way to describe this, is as if heaven has entered my mouth. I will definitely come here again and again and again

13/12/2024: Modern, original cuisine but too little on the plate and lack of vegetables/raw vegetables. We took the daily menu, not a la carte. This is our only downside.

Very nice discovery, from the wine list to the fine dishes, everything was perfect.
Freshness, friendliness, all in a warm and modern setting.

18/09/2024: we had a great dinner here on our last night in strausborg. this is a small and intimate restaurant with a limited menu, just how my dad and I like it. we especially appreciated the owner, who was willing to speak french with my dad. he was raised by quebec french speakers and the french in france are not always enthused when foreigners try to speak their language. ultimately, we were the quietest americans in the restaurant (low bar).
on to food. started with the beef carpaccio, which could have been a bit thinner but the nice pesto spread over the top of it made up for it. I had perfectly cooked steak frites in pepper sauce and my dad got the duck. we both throughly enjoyed our meal and had to finish with creme brulee. i would definitely recommend this restaurant to a friend. the owner made us feel like family and that is the key to good dining.

09/07/2025: I used to come here often, even before its renovation—which took away its special charm, by the way. Last time, I asked for a coffee and an empty glass with ice cubes: the idea is to pour the coffee over the ice cubes (like they do in the south of France or Spain). I felt like I was asking for a luxury product, ice cubes! The only response: "three ice cubes, no more." Okay, I'll take note...

10/12/2025: I ordered Braised Ham Hock with Pinot Noir and Homemade Spaetzle.
When it was served in a small casserole dish, it was still frozen inside. I asked for it to be reheated, and when it came back to the table, it wasn't cooked... Homemade product straight from the freezer!

19/09/2024: Clean and quiet hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. Quality breakfast, although a little expensive.
The spa is perfect!
Perfect geographical location, with transport right next door, and easy access to the motorway.
Nothing to complain about, we'll come back!
18/09/2024: Good hotel, we had chosen it exclusively for access to the SPA, but it was emptied following a technical problem that occurred the day before so the water was 20°, even the less cautious among us did not stay there any longer of 5 min.. the saunas were also far from the indicated temperatures.
Given the situation (for which no one is responsible), a commercial gesture would have been the least we could do because we paid for this access to the spa.
This was not done despite us reporting our dissatisfaction to reception.
So, without a SPA, you might as well take another 4 star which will be much cheaper.
