05/10/2026: Very disappointed... I'd been wanting to eat at this typical Strasbourg restaurant for a long time. And this time, for my daughter's birthday, we went as a family of six. First, we were made to wait outside in the street for over 20 minutes, which was already a disgrace considering we had booked weeks in advance. "It's to set your table," they told us. Then, we ordered six half-portions of foie gras: two from the regular menu and the other four from the "gourmet" menu. The first two arrived fairly quickly, but the remaining four took 10 minutes, and judging by the size of the foie gras slices, it was clear we had different definitions of "gourmet." Then came the disaster in the kitchen... Two braised ham hocks from the à la carte menu, one of which still had blood near the bone, clearly undercooked and not braised at all, and a 45-minute to 1-hour wait for the four courses on the menu, including three sauerkraut dishes, supposedly the highlight of the meal... A pathetic quenelle of liver of some unknown kind that had no business being there, a frankfurter that looked like it came from the local fast-food joint, a slice of ham and a piece of bacon, and a standard smoked sausage, all served on a bed of lukewarm sauerkraut despite the 45-minute wait. Clearly, the cooks were hired the day before... And to think they have Michelin Bib Gourmand stars displayed at the entrance... it's a disgrace to the guide. With a hefty bill of €385, they offered us a bottle of Riesling, the cheapest on the menu, which must cost less than €10 at trade prices... What a disappointment! What a rip-off! A word of advice: to be carefully avoided

24/07/2026: Excellent place! The traditional Alsatian dishes are delicious and of high quality. The staff is extremely friendly, and we thoroughly enjoyed our conversations, which made the meal even more pleasant. Note that the terrace is accessible to people with reduced mobility, unlike the interior. We highly recommend it!

22/10/2026: I had a very good time. The only downside was our seat under the air conditioning unit, which was noisy and made it difficult to hear each other. However, the service was excellent. Despite that, I have very fond memories of it.

27/08/2026: I'd been wanting to try their English afternoon tea for ages, and it was definitely worth the trip! From the moment you step into the garden, you're immersed in a sophisticated world, with vibrant colors and rich details. The warm welcome from the passionate Frédéric and his team is as wonderful as the setting itself. The madeleines, cakes, and teas are delicious and tell beautiful stories. A timeless experience to rediscover each season!

27/09/2026: A wonderful discovery! We had a fantastic time. The welcome and service were perfect, with great kindness and attentiveness. And the food was a real treat: refined dishes, expertly prepared and truly delicious. We enjoyed every bite from beginning to end. A place we will gladly return to!

23/07/2026: The staff are friendly, and the baguettes and pastries are very good! However, I don't find the cakes to be of very good quality... Update 1 year later: I'm adding the missing star because the pastries have improved significantly and there's a much wider selection!

15/10/2026: The setting is basic, rather cold and soulless. But the service is friendly and the menu is varied. The dishes are cooked to perfection, especially the steamed pike-perch. And the prices are reasonable. The desserts are classic and well-executed as well. A good option when you have a train to catch or arrive late in Strasbourg.

12/10/2026: A friendly waitress. Delicious sauerkraut and a very good plum tart. My colleague enjoyed the foie gras. A lovely evening at a great restaurant; it leaves a lasting impression.

16/10/2026: Excellent regional cuisine. Great value for money! The ambiance is charmingly rustic. There was a bit of a wait for service, but otherwise no complaints!

25/09/2026: We arrived and it seemed quite nice, rather quiet. We decided to order a set menu, and when we mentioned that one of us was vegetarian, they immediately said they could make the galette without ham. We got along well since the waitress spoke German. The food was delicious; both the galette and our crepe were very tasty.

25/09/2026: The welcome was very warm. The terrace is very pleasant, shaded, and very quiet. The galette (a Reine) was disappointing; there was no buckwheat flavor, just two or three pieces of chicken swimming in thick cream, accompanied by three lettuce leaves and a slice of tomato. The sweet crêpe (a chocolate crêpe) made me regret my order; the batter tasted raw, and there was very little filling. The cider, thankfully, was very good. We paid €64 for two Reine galettes, two chocolate crêpes, a pitcher of dry cider, and two coffees. A lunch menu is available, but we didn't think to order it, and of course, it wasn't applied to our bill (we didn't ask for it). Despite the charm of the place, I don't recommend it.

31/08/2026: Three hours of service for a tasteless meal. First and last time.

14/09/2026: We arrived on a Sunday evening around 6 pm and easily got a seat. We sampled the four truffle cheeses and received excellent advice on wine and cheese pairings. The visit was one of the highlights of our trip; we'd love to come back again.
