08/09/2024: Little visit to buy madeleines in this now well-known place in Strasbourg. During the Christmas market period, we waited outside in the rain for an hour before being able to return. Once inside, we were very well received and an explanation for each madeleine creation was given to us. They are truly works of art, very well decorated and a restocking is done with new madeleines during the day. We took several to taste. The price is quite high, but this is explained by the experience you have once inside the establishment as well as the work accomplished on each madeleine. In my opinion, the madeleines were a little too sweet due to the decorations applied, but that's just a question of taste. I find that it is still worth testing at least once during your visit to Strasbourg, even more so during the Christmas period!

23/09/2024: Owner recommended it to us randomly at a pub. The food was okay but the service was atrocious. So rude as we didn't know their wines & they wouldn't help us. Then I ordered a vodka & it tasted like fire water. I've never tried anything so bad. Rude French waiters.

23/09/2024: Food was delicious. The ambience not that much. The tables were taken away from outside at 17:30, even though it was a sunny Sunday. It was a bit too early. The whole restaurant looked like they are closing, even though the kitchen was open for few more hours. The menus were looking quite bad. Staff was helpful and kind. But all of that is nothing in comparison to food quality. It was amazing. Good job!

22/09/2024: Nach allen Bewertungen glaubten wir, wir könnten hier gut bürgerlich elsässisch essen. Das Thomasien liegt in der Rue des Dentelles, wo es einige Essmöglichkeiten gibt. Die Brasserie ist urig eingerichtet und die Bedienung war ok. Besteck und Gläser hätten sauberer sein können. Das Essen war enttäuschend. Es war zwar von ordentlicher Qualität aber gänzlich fad. Daher war es einfach nicht gut. Die Zwiebelsuppe war fad. Die Zwiebeln fein und nicht geröstet. Die Suppe mehr wässrig als eine Brühe. Der Käse und das Brot lagen extra dabei. Ich kenne dies anders: leckere Brühe, würzig, geröstete Brotscheibe und die gratiniert. Leider fad und enttäuschend. Das Backoeffe war mit Wasser gewürzt denn mit Weisswein. Alles andere ebenfalls ohne sonderliche Würzung. Der Flammkuchen nicht knusprig, sondern weich. Liegt es an den internationalen Gruppen? Kurz nach uns kam eine sehr laute japanische Gruppe. Es war einfach enttäuschend, weshalb wir das Lokal schnell verließen. Schade. Die Vorbewertungen waren besser als die Realität.

31/08/2024: Aucune fausse note : du service aux plats, c’est talentueux et excellents. Le chef d’orchestre en cuisine n’a rien à envier à madame qui accueille et sert parfaitement. Quels plaisirs de goûter les goujonnettes de carpe, les desserts glacés … au vu des plats dégustés par les autres convives qui semblaient satisfaits, nous sommes certains que notre avis est partagé !

10/09/2024: my husband's pizza was excellent, on the other hand, my dish of the day Luiguini with flambéed scampi and pesto, rather mediocre: the pasta a little dry and no scampi (langoustines), but 1 flambéed prawn in addition to the shrimp and I had looked for pesto. The following customers did have langoustines!!!!!I had leftovers from the day before?

13/08/2024: Nice restaurant located nearby orangerie, with traditional dishes and pizza. I would recommend the traditional dishes over the pizza. Food is decent and tasty. Service was good and attentive. Prices are also reasonable. The atmosphere and decoration is ok. Could go again

13/09/2024: Hello to the Strasbourg gastronomic community, We decided to stop and eat in this brasserie at the observatory, rue Kirstein in Strasbourg. We ate chicken escalopes with cream. Finally what we expected! but in reality we had reconstituted and shredded pieces of meat which was really not good. Apparently the cook if indeed he is a cook! Should learn to cut meats, and especially make an effort on the presentation (presentation on the plate), because it is really shameful to serve poorly dressed pieces of meat when you were expecting a poultry escalope whole! We do not recommend this establishment. Really a shame because the service is correct and the setting is original....

30/08/2024: L'artichoke is a nice bar to go to in Strasbourg. A landmark for some, it is above all a place where the welcome is pleasant and jovial! A big thank you to the waiters for their kindness and efficiency. ☺️👍🏼
