04/10/2026: ⭐ 1 star, and even then… A particularly disappointing experience at Le Grand Comptoir de Paris. We ordered several dishes: sea bream tartare with lemon, steak, prawns Provençal style, and fries. The sea bream tartare was so drowned in lemon that it seemed to be used to mask the dish's flaws. The fries were frozen and frankly awful. The steak was completely bland and tasteless. As for the prawns Provençal style, their texture and quality really gave the impression of a frozen product, which is particularly disappointing considering the price. But the most shocking thing was the staff's overall attitude. We shared our comments and felt they were completely ignored. No real listening, no desire to find a solution. We also witnessed arguments between servers in front of the customers, which was particularly unpleasant. And to top it all off, the bartender was smoking at the counter, which is frankly unacceptable in an establishment that serves food. The setting on the Old Port is pleasant, but a beautiful view is absolutely no excuse for high prices when the quality of the food and service are lacking. We came to Marseille to have a good time and discover good food. We left with the feeling that we had mainly paid for the location. Disastrous value for money, very disappointing cuisine, and a particularly unprofessional attitude from the staff. An address we absolutely do not recommend.

31/05/2026: This was my first time at this bakery. The staff were very pleasant; a young man named Alexandre gave me a warm welcome with a big smile and listened attentively to my request. I will gladly return.

25/08/2026: Absolutely terrible...the guy at the entrance is unfriendly, not a smile, he gives you dirty looks. You tell him what you want and he just replies, "There isn't anything," and goes back to what he was doing. He's neither a customer nor friendly in the slightest. Oh, but...no thanks. It looks dirty too, just from the entrance.

14/08/2026: We called at the fast food counter of this restaurant for an unnecessary but tasty lunchtime pit-stop. Cheap & cheerful with a hard working, friendly staff team on the day we were there. The meat Tunisian chapati was a stand out, beating any global chain burger in taste and price.

20/09/2026: The party cakes were awful; we threw them all away; and on top of that, they weren't cheap; and to think they were so good with the previous owners…

07/07/2026: Frankly disappointing. The spicy shrimp were undercooked and tasteless, and the samosas were awful. It's a shame; the shop used to be packed, but now it's empty. They're pushing you to buy more. That's it for my family and me; we'll go elsewhere. Making them yourself is disappointing.

12/06/2026: I was wrong to trust the storefront; it clearly stated "Caterer," but I think everything comes from Metro, unfortunately... The quality and flavor were mediocre, yet I paid a lot. I'll never go back, and I've told everyone I know. It's sad not to be able to trust anyone anymore. I'm sad to be eating only Metro or frozen food in this country. (Unfortunately, the vast majority of it is.)

09/08/2026: ⭐️ A phantom order 👻 I placed an order around 8:30 pm for a simple crepe… and guess what? I'm still waiting for it! 😂 The most incredible thing is that during this time, other customers were served normally. My order simply vanished into thin air. Yet, it had definitely been taken by Tony. Well done, Tony! 👏🏼 I can understand that there might be a wait or an oversight, but in that case, the least you could do is let the customer know or apologize. Here, nothing. I just waited and never received my order. Serving other customers while leaving someone waiting without explanation is a rather strange way to treat your clientele.

11/06/2026: If you're passing through, avoid this place. Cleanliness is nowhere to be seen. You wonder what a motorcycle is doing in the restaurant. The floor is filthy and dirty. The meal was expensive and disgusting. The Italian salad at €12.50 consisted of a tomato from the fridge cut into eight pieces with the same amount of Mozambique peas on a bed of wilted bagged lettuce. It's clearly been through the wringer... as for the pizza, advertised as homemade, it reeked of industrial. When we arrived, an employee was putting whipped cream from the supermarket on desserts, even though it was advertised as Chantilly cream. Between the price, the cleanliness, and the extremely poor quality of the food, don't go there.

19/05/2026: I don't recommend it. My friend and I sat down for lunch. The drinks arrived quickly, then nothing for 30 minutes. The waitress came back and asked if I could change my order, as the one I'd chosen was taking a long time to prepare. My break was already over, so I had to get a sandwich on the side.

19/09/2026: It's a shame we can't give zero stars. I've never experienced such an unpleasant welcome. Avoid at all costs. You're better off supporting the bakery next door.

15/01/2026: I chose this hotel purely for convenience, because I didn't have a TGV train and it's right across from the station. I took the easy way out… and what a mistake. This establishment is absolutely not worth the price. Even €10 would be excessive. Upon entering the room, an unbearable stench of urine (you wonder what animal it is) hits you in the throat. The mattresses are dirty, the sheets are dirty, everything is dirty. Hygiene is clearly nonexistent. To top it all off: the reception staff rings the bell every ten minutes to get you out of the room, which is as unpleasant as it is incomprehensible. Frankly, I felt dirty after sleeping there. A very unpleasant experience that I absolutely do not recommend. Avoid at all costs.

19/05/2026: Almost 10 restaurants listed on Deliveroo for the same thing! Great tactic when you don't have good reviews or want to capitalize on new trends. I ordered smash burgers (yes, the restaurant was supposed to specialize in smash burgers) and it turned out to be this restaurant... not just any smash burger, but low-quality stuff... AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

29/05/2026: My group of four were the only people in the restaurant, red flag! I left my jacket and purse beside the kitchen entrance, where our table was. My purse and brand-new French designer jacket were left in the restaurant. My purse had 300 Euros and credit cards. My identification. Except for my passport I went back 20 minutes later and was told to call the police. There was no one else present besides the proprietor. I had an AirTag in my bag. It was shut off immediately! Don't eat or drink there! Don't go there

17/05/2026: Avoid this restaurant! The salmon pasta was tasteless, and the Gruyère cheese looked like it was from 2002. Even the Moresque was a disaster. The waitress was very nice, but the fries were slightly spilled on the table when we were served; they barely even tried to put them back on the plate in front of us. Good luck if you decide to eat here.
