16/07/2026: They're really not customer-oriented. The saleswoman refused my 50 euro note, claiming she didn't have change, even though it was the end of the day. The day before, I wanted to order a large cake for a birthday, but they couldn't make it for me—too late, too hot. They were really unfriendly. Only people who come in for a snack or a coffee are satisfied, but that's not what I expect from a bakery.

27/07/2026: I didn't enjoy the meal at all. The pizzas were small and the crust was hard; I didn't understand why. Even the cheese had no flavor.

22/05/2026: A huge thank you to the staff for everything you could expect from a restaurant. The storefront is unassuming. You have to go inside to understand. They were truly very friendly. They even took my serious health conditions into account and offered me a special meal. The prices were very reasonable and the atmosphere was really welcoming. Thank you again for this relaxing moment away from the noise of the boulevard and for all the smiles and kindness. I highly recommend it.

10/08/2026: A very pleasant café with a calm and relaxed atmosphere. Attentive service; you're brought in quickly and with a smile, depending on your time slot, not only your coffee but also an individually wrapped biscuit and a glass of water. I really appreciated the complete absence of smoking; everyone respects this, which isn't the case in all cafés, and it makes me want to come back. I returned for an iced coffee, a real treat, served with a paper straw—bravo!

04/08/2026: Frankly, a bad experience. I ordered, I paid, and they didn't give me my change. "No big deal, a few cents," I thought. They told me it would be ready in 15 minutes. So, we stayed nearby, and still no one called me. I introduced myself, and they told me, "It's in the oven." Okay, no problem, I waited. It was a long wait. I went back again, and then, surprise: the guy had forgotten me and didn't remember me. Since he hadn't given me a receipt, I had no proof of purchase. So, he apologized and told me it would be ready in 10 minutes. No compensation whatsoever for this oversight. The manager remained courteous, I should point out, but the experience was unpleasant.

14/08/2026: I was very disappointed with the service I received today at this bakery. I was served by an employee named Asra, whom I heard being called by her colleague. From the start, I wasn't greeted, and I found her attitude very haughty and unpleasant, even towards the customers ahead of me. When it came time to pay, she simply nodded to me, asking me to follow her, without any polite greeting or explanation. I really felt unwelcome, especially considering how much I had bought. Faced with this attitude, I decided to ask to be served by someone else. Another employee, a very tall young man, immediately took over. He clearly understood that I was upset, was very kind, smiling, and professional, and really managed to salvage the situation. I would also like to emphasize his excellent service. It's a shame that one person can give such a bad impression of an establishment while another employee, conversely, can be very kind and professional. I hope my feedback will be taken into account, because a simple hello, a little respect, and courtesy make a huge difference to the customer experience.

12/08/2026: Avoid at all costs. A terrible experience today around 10:20 am. Several people who arrived after me were served before me, including white customers, even though I was already waiting. I clearly felt I was being treated differently because of my skin color. This behavior was deeply shocking and unacceptable.

27/08/2026: Honestly, the best sushi in Marseille. You can clearly tell they're working alone. The only downside is the slightly high price.

22/08/2026: We chose this restaurant for its location. Indeed, the location near the sea with its sunset views is fantastic. The food is very average (I had a stomach ache the next day, so I have my doubts). The service is also very average; the waiters are young and understaffed, so they're rushed. Prices are high; you're paying for the view… I would have liked to give it 3.5 stars, but that's not possible.

19/08/2026: The waiter was incredibly rude and brushed us off when we simply asked if we could just have a drink.

07/09/2026: Not very pleasant! This establishment doesn't accept credit cards. When you pay in cash, don't expect to receive your bill at your table; you have to get up and go to the counter, and they give it to you rudely. Not very professional, but since this kind of place treats tourists like suckers… they don't really care. Luckily, I only came for two coffees.

09/08/2026: Overall, a decent experience. The food was good, but some aspects could be improved, particularly the service and the overall experience. The setting is pleasant, and the restaurant has potential. I hope these few comments will be taken into account to improve the customer experience.

27/06/2026: It was very good, the welcome was very warm, it's nice to be greeted with a smile, and the price is very reasonable. I think it's the best bakery in the neighborhood at the moment! The competitors are more expensive!

04/06/2026: I received a very cold welcome at this establishment. Exhausted after my workday, I simply wanted to sit on the terrace, forgetting to greet the waitress. Her reaction was immediate and curt: "You say hello, and you take orders inside!" A complete lack of empathy and courtesy. Unfortunately, Marseille is losing its soul with this kind of behavior and these newcomers. Avoid this place if you're looking for even a modicum of human warmth.

11/08/2026: We ended up at the InterContinental for a late lunch after discovering, once again, that finding somewhere serving food after 2.30pm in Marseille can be quite an adventure. The hotel itself is beautiful and wonderfully calm, and the first-floor terrace is a lovely place to sit, although on such a hot Marseille afternoon the brumisateurs were struggling to make much difference. We ordered two burgers with fries, at around €30 each. When mine arrived, the beef was extremely rare, far more so than I would ever choose. I ate about half because I was hungry and initially assumed this was simply how the burger was served. My companion’s burger was noticeably more cooked. Eventually, out of curiosity, I asked one of the waitresses whether the burgers were normally served this way. The first thing she asked was whether we had been asked how we wanted the meat cooked. We hadn’t. She immediately took the burger back to the kitchen and, around ten minutes later, returned with a completely freshly cooked one. And I really want to emphasise this: she was wonderful. No defensiveness, no awkwardness, no making us feel difficult. She simply understood the problem and dealt with it immediately and graciously. The other bar and terrace staff we encountered were equally warm, professional and lovely. In fact, I felt genuinely bad afterwards that we hadn’t left them a tip, because the service absolutely deserved one. Unfortunately, the replacement burger was only average, and the fries were particularly disappointing: overcooked yet somehow soggy. At around €30 for a burger and fries, that’s difficult to overlook. And perhaps this review is part of something bigger for me. I’ve stayed quiet about disappointing experiences for a long time, but I’m increasingly tired of expensive restaurants, hotels and cafés charging premium prices while serving food or drinks that are below average. So I’ve decided to start reviewing places honestly, good and bad. Not to attack businesses or the people working incredibly hard in them, but because price and quality should still have some relationship to one another. When somewhere is brilliant, I want to say so. When it isn’t, I think it’s equally fair to say that too. This is absolutely not a criticism of the staff here. Quite the opposite. They were the best part of the experience and handled the situation beautifully. The hotel and terrace are gorgeous, the people looking after us were excellent, but at this price point the food should match both the surroundings and the standard of service. Sadly, on this occasion, it didn’t.
