21/09/2026: I was very disappointed with my experience today. The service really needs improvement: for me, it's a zero. I can completely understand that busy periods are difficult to manage. I work in fast food and bakeries myself, so I know very well what it's like to have to manage a lot of customers at once and the pressure that can be. But that doesn't excuse everything, especially the way customers are treated. The lack of professionalism of one of your employees, Roxane I believe, is truly appalling. There's a proper way to speak to customers, a proper way to welcome and receive them, even when it's busy and the situation is stressful. It's not the first time I've found this young woman particularly cold, but today was really the last straw. I've never been so shocked by customer service. I rarely leave negative reviews, but in this case, I sincerely believe it is important to report this kind of behavior, because customer service and respect should remain a priority, even during busy periods.

21/09/2026: It's a disaster! I live in La Capelette and frankly, I'm disgusted that this bakery is located here. What kind of staff are these? Who do these girls think they are? Would a simple hello or a smile rip their mouths off? The worst part was Sunday at 9:15 a.m.: about ten people waiting, only one person serving while the other sat calmly behind the bakery smoking a cigarette. At 9:15 a.m., with a line that keeps getting longer… it's unbelievable! And it's always the same in the morning: three or four people ahead of you and a 10- to 15-minute wait because only one person is serving while the other is doing something else. The customers have better things to do! In the morning, people are in a hurry; they're going to work, taking their children to school, and they certainly don't have time to stand around in front of a bakery because the service is this slow. I used to stop there to get my son's pain au chocolat, but that's over. I go elsewhere now. And clearly, I'm far from the only one: just read the comments. Perhaps it's time to seriously rethink the organization and, above all, put people behind the counter who actually want to work and serve customers. Because by driving people away, they shouldn't be surprised if they go buy their bread elsewhere.

30/09/2026: There were 4 of us who ate 2 courses. The price was nothing to complain about. Starter fried polenta quite ok I took fried brook fish parts cold when served, minus that. Main course. Moules Frittes under all criticism. Asked about this and was offered another course but the damage was already done. Probably heated and paralyzed from before. Course no. 2 was Entrecote which was completely dry as a sheet. Served with the same fries that we got for the mussels which were ice cold and tasteless. Course no. 3 was one with pesto which tasted nothing. You won't go here again as the range in the area is enormous. The place looks very inviting but the first warning is that the staff is sliding around in their private clothes and including shorts. Minus minus minus

21/09/2026: Extremely rude people who clearly don't like tourists, especially Italian ones... After a 20-minute wait, I was SYSTEMATICALLY ignored by all four people I interacted with. Furthermore, despite not having had the "pleasure" of being their guest, I noticed that the dishes were typically touristy, and that the bouillabaisse was presented in an embarrassing manner, a sort of broth with three pieces of floating fish, a far cry from the wonderful bouillabaisse typical of Marseille. But no worries, there are even better and more tempting offers around every corner! Highly not recommended!

24/09/2026: I had a terrible experience at Domino's today. A tall, Black young man wearing glasses misunderstood my order. When I pointed out the mistake, he became rude and spoke loudly in front of the other customers... I only understood half of what he was saying... his colleague even agreed with me! I find this particularly regrettable. Even in the case of a misunderstanding, a minimum of respect and professionalism is expected. I hope this incident will be taken seriously.

20/05/2026: I ordered Uber Eats, and the variety of kemia was all mixed together in one dish. Not all the kemia were there, and they were hidden under salad. It was really unappetizing. I will never order again; I'm disgusted. It's not worth the price. How can they serve this to their customers?!

25/03/2026: It's a real shame they don't respect the opening hours. I arrived at the door at 9:05 PM and the light was already off, the floor had been mopped, and the person there was busy locking up. Apart from that, the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

28/02/2026: I'd been to this bar several times for a drink and to buy my lottery tickets, and honestly, I'm very disappointed by the behavior of the owner and his waitress, who are incredibly condescending. I won't be going back; they've lost a loyal customer. 😑❌

01/10/2026: A beautiful place, a warm welcome, and the owner is incredibly friendly and cheerful. The meal was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was fantastic. The staff were top-notch. It was very reasonably priced and a real treat; I highly recommend it. I'll definitely be back. Thank you to the team, and especially to the owner, who is always smiling and so pleasant.

15/10/2026: This is a bakery, not a restaurant. They offer various breads, focaccia, tarts, croissants, pain au chocolat, etc. Everything is delicious, so go there, but not for a meal.

28/09/2026: A fantastic artisan sourdough bakery offering around 10–15 varieties of bread. We tried three loaves: the Kalamata olive, the Pain Complet (wholemeal with added grains/seeds), and another multigrain loaf. All were excellent—just the right level of mild, pleasant tanginess, with an airy, light, and tender crumb. A must-visit spot for true sourdough lovers. Highly recommended.

18/06/2026: What a shame! I used to come every now and then specifically to eat the pizza, which was so good you could lick your fingers, and now they've changed pizza oil and it's nothing like the previous one.

10/06/2026: Undercooked frozen fries, chocolate mousse full of raw egg whites… And unable to ensure customer comfort in the face of demand…

11/08/2026: We ended up at the InterContinental for a late lunch after discovering, once again, that finding somewhere serving food after 2.30pm in Marseille can be quite an adventure. The hotel itself is beautiful and wonderfully calm, and the first-floor terrace is a lovely place to sit, although on such a hot Marseille afternoon the brumisateurs were struggling to make much difference. We ordered two burgers with fries, at around €30 each. When mine arrived, the beef was extremely rare, far more so than I would ever choose. I ate about half because I was hungry and initially assumed this was simply how the burger was served. My companion’s burger was noticeably more cooked. Eventually, out of curiosity, I asked one of the waitresses whether the burgers were normally served this way. The first thing she asked was whether we had been asked how we wanted the meat cooked. We hadn’t. She immediately took the burger back to the kitchen and, around ten minutes later, returned with a completely freshly cooked one. And I really want to emphasise this: she was wonderful. No defensiveness, no awkwardness, no making us feel difficult. She simply understood the problem and dealt with it immediately and graciously. The other bar and terrace staff we encountered were equally warm, professional and lovely. In fact, I felt genuinely bad afterwards that we hadn’t left them a tip, because the service absolutely deserved one. Unfortunately, the replacement burger was only average, and the fries were particularly disappointing: overcooked yet somehow soggy. At around €30 for a burger and fries, that’s difficult to overlook. And perhaps this review is part of something bigger for me. I’ve stayed quiet about disappointing experiences for a long time, but I’m increasingly tired of expensive restaurants, hotels and cafés charging premium prices while serving food or drinks that are below average. So I’ve decided to start reviewing places honestly, good and bad. Not to attack businesses or the people working incredibly hard in them, but because price and quality should still have some relationship to one another. When somewhere is brilliant, I want to say so. When it isn’t, I think it’s equally fair to say that too. This is absolutely not a criticism of the staff here. Quite the opposite. They were the best part of the experience and handled the situation beautifully. The hotel and terrace are gorgeous, the people looking after us were excellent, but at this price point the food should match both the surroundings and the standard of service. Sadly, on this occasion, it didn’t.

31/08/2026: Ideally located at the bottom of the stairs at Saint Charles train station, this brasserie offers a relaxing place to stop while waiting for your train (or returning home). It's been our go-to spot for two years now. A very warm welcome (the manager is friendly and smiling), excellent food (classic but just what you need after traveling abroad 😁), and what can I say about the coffee 🤩. In short, we recommend it 200%!

13/09/2026: The food was terrible, the staff unpleasant and arguing in front of customers, except for the young woman who was doing her best. The owner smoked at the counter and didn't seem to care at all about what was going on. The prices were high for the mediocre quality. In short, a restaurant to avoid!
