31/05/2026: This was my first time at this bakery. The staff were very pleasant; a young man named Alexandre gave me a warm welcome with a big smile and listened attentively to my request. I will gladly return.

01/08/2026: A nice little evening, but we'd never eaten such an ugly, disgusting salad—like something out of some old truck stop from the '80s...except this was the Corniche! Not even two cherry tomatoes per plate, reconstituted chicken meatballs, bagged iceberg lettuce, one old, blackened hard-boiled egg cut in half, parmesan powder, and a revolting white sauce—all for €18 a plate! At least we had a good laugh about it, it was so unbelievable! 😃😃

30/07/2026: A very nice place for a drink in the evening. The only downside is that there's often a long wait at the bar. The food is quite decent and the prices are normal considering the location.

18/07/2026: I ordered a three-cheese pizza with extra mushrooms three or four days ago and received a dry, cold pizza. I live nearby and we're regular customers! It's unacceptable to pay €19 for a pizza for one person and end up with nothing to eat. I called to complain, and communication with the delivery driver was difficult, even just to show him the address. In short, I no longer recommend this place. There's been a huge change since then, and I hope things improve for the better, like before!

18/08/2026: EDIT.....I came back for a second visit and this time I had a club sandwich and a beer. Service was fast and the club sandwich was delicious. The server was geoffroy, who was friendly and welcoming. The brasserie La Samaritaine comes highly recommended. Je reviendrai - I will return. ============ Stopped here for a beer (no food) and had a most enjoyable visit. I was served by a bald Spanish speaking guy who was attentive and friendly. Excellent experience and highly recommended. This is the start of my French Connection tour of Marseille.

14/08/2026: Times are changing... and La Samaritaine is no exception. Prices have gone up considerably for bland dishes and smaller portions. €18 for a croque monsieur that you could buy at Leclerc... no béchamel sauce, or very little, since I didn't see any. An overcooked fried egg... and what about the desserts? We didn't even order them at €11 each! The children's menu offered syrup or lemonade, so we asked for a diabolo... oh, but no, that wasn't possible, otherwise the syrup would be an extra charge in the lemonade! It took over 30 minutes to be served, even though it was 12:30 and the restaurant was far from full. The waiters weren't friendly, in fact, none of the staff were. We used to be regulars, but this will be our last visit.

13/05/2026: Fantastic welcome from start to finish 😊 Initially, we hadn't necessarily planned to eat here, but we decided to give it a try… and honestly, we have absolutely no regrets! The food was excellent, the service was quick, and the staff was very friendly. A great find! We wish them continued success and will gladly return.

11/05/2026: Horrible! I'm torn between the mussels and the bill, which was more outrageous in this restaurant. Half the mussels were empty and frankly, not good at all. And let's not even talk about the fries. When it came time to pay, the card machine seemed to have stopped working at 5 pm, and they explicitly asked us to pay by credit card. The tax authorities should pay this place a visit. In short, run away!

07/07/2026: Frankly disappointing. The spicy shrimp were undercooked and tasteless, and the samosas were awful. It's a shame; the shop used to be packed, but now it's empty. They're pushing you to buy more. That's it for my family and me; we'll go elsewhere. Making them yourself is disappointing.

12/06/2026: I was wrong to trust the storefront; it clearly stated "Caterer," but I think everything comes from Metro, unfortunately... The quality and flavor were mediocre, yet I paid a lot. I'll never go back, and I've told everyone I know. It's sad not to be able to trust anyone anymore. I'm sad to be eating only Metro or frozen food in this country. (Unfortunately, the vast majority of it is.)

28/06/2026: The "chocolate" cake (which turned out to be lemon) must have been a week old. It was bone dry. Inedible. We threw it away.

27/06/2026: I feel like this place is always open, very convenient for us. Also they have the best baguette in the area and staff is friendly.

15/05/2026: A very bad experience at this bar. We come here regularly and, unfortunately, the experience is always the same. The servers' attitude is unpleasant and unwelcoming, which is unacceptable in a professional setting. The wait is far too long, and despite several requests to order, no one comes to take our order. We finally decided to leave and go to the bar next door!

13/05/2026: The bar has everything going for it: sunshine, proximity to the tram, a large terrace. But it's TERRIBLE! The waiters are crazy (if you don't drink alcohol, you get snide remarks), the service is incredibly slow and unpleasant. They mess up half the time; it's a disaster. In short, don't go.

24/03/2026: Absolutely awful! I only went there for scratch-off tickets, but I'll never set foot in there again. The FDJ app is much better...

14/02/2026: The blonde waitress is unpleasant; she'd be better off learning some manners. If she's so bothered by serving customers, she should wait on her pets at home. Thanks forever.

11/06/2026: If you're passing through, avoid this place. Cleanliness is nowhere to be seen. You wonder what a motorcycle is doing in the restaurant. The floor is filthy and dirty. The meal was expensive and disgusting. The Italian salad at €12.50 consisted of a tomato from the fridge cut into eight pieces with the same amount of Mozambique peas on a bed of wilted bagged lettuce. It's clearly been through the wringer... as for the pizza, advertised as homemade, it reeked of industrial. When we arrived, an employee was putting whipped cream from the supermarket on desserts, even though it was advertised as Chantilly cream. Between the price, the cleanliness, and the extremely poor quality of the food, don't go there.

19/05/2026: I don't recommend it. My friend and I sat down for lunch. The drinks arrived quickly, then nothing for 30 minutes. The waitress came back and asked if I could change my order, as the one I'd chosen was taking a long time to prepare. My break was already over, so I had to get a sandwich on the side.

19/04/2026: Service, setting, nothing to complain about!

15/01/2026: I chose this hotel purely for convenience, because I didn't have a TGV train and it's right across from the station. I took the easy way out… and what a mistake. This establishment is absolutely not worth the price. Even €10 would be excessive. Upon entering the room, an unbearable stench of urine (you wonder what animal it is) hits you in the throat. The mattresses are dirty, the sheets are dirty, everything is dirty. Hygiene is clearly nonexistent. To top it all off: the reception staff rings the bell every ten minutes to get you out of the room, which is as unpleasant as it is incomprehensible. Frankly, I felt dirty after sleeping there. A very unpleasant experience that I absolutely do not recommend. Avoid at all costs.

19/05/2026: Almost 10 restaurants listed on Deliveroo for the same thing! Great tactic when you don't have good reviews or want to capitalize on new trends. I ordered smash burgers (yes, the restaurant was supposed to specialize in smash burgers) and it turned out to be this restaurant... not just any smash burger, but low-quality stuff... AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

20/05/2026: You accepted a reservation for 12. We walked 40 minutes. You're closed. Don't go. Anyway, 3.5 out of 5 stars is rubbish. We hadn't paid attention to the rating.

29/05/2026: My group of four were the only people in the restaurant, red flag! I left my jacket and purse beside the kitchen entrance, where our table was. My purse and brand-new French designer jacket were left in the restaurant. My purse had 300 Euros and credit cards. My identification. Except for my passport I went back 20 minutes later and was told to call the police. There was no one else present besides the proprietor. I had an AirTag in my bag. It was shut off immediately! Don't eat or drink there! Don't go there

17/05/2026: Avoid this restaurant! The salmon pasta was tasteless, and the Gruyère cheese looked like it was from 2002. Even the Moresque was a disaster. The waitress was very nice, but the fries were slightly spilled on the table when we were served; they barely even tried to put them back on the plate in front of us. Good luck if you decide to eat here.
