25/02/2026: Run away, it was awful. The restaurant wasn't heated, and the waitress was wearing a down jacket. We were the only ones in the restaurant, I ordered a starter, and she brought me the mussels directly... then there was aluminum foil in my dish... the mussels were terrible... I hope I don't get sick tonight... a disgrace... definitely go somewhere else.
16/02/2026: AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!
It's freezing cold in this restaurant. A puddle of water at the entrance (the wine cellar leaks), a 45-minute wait for a butcher's cut that was blue but so cold!!! Inedible because it was salty and full of gristle; cold, greasy fries..... on February 14th, 2026, the customers at one table left because their main courses still hadn't arrived after an hour; another table left halfway through their meal because it was so bad. The waiter (the owner?) was overwhelmed even though almost no other tables were being served!!!!
It was the waitress's first day; she must not have been informed and therefore did nothing..... we left the restaurant with a discount on our inedible dishes, not wanting to make a scene by not paying.
We hoped we wouldn't get sick; I think we're either resilient or lucky!!!!
What a fiasco that day! All the customers left almost at the same time.
My worst restaurant ever.
It was like something out of "Kitchen Nightmares."

We stopped by last night to watch the match where we unfortunately lost 😢, missing out on the final, and we weren't disappointed by this bar/restaurant. The young man and the lovely lady who served us made us feel completely at ease, allowing us to fully enjoy the match and the food we were served! We ordered the "terre" platter, which featured exquisite products, though perhaps a slightly smaller portion for the price. A nice bonus: a direct view into the restaurant next door, where the waiter was quite a sight to behold 😳. We highly recommend it!

17/03/2026: I told the waiter I was waiting for someone, he poured me a drink, and two minutes later told me I had to pay and leave because he was closing. (It was around 7 pm, not 2 am...) By the way, the two sips of beer I managed to drink were disgusting.
01/03/2026: Where to begin? We came to have a drink on the terrace in the nice weather. We looked at the drinks menu and were shocked by the prices. A strawberry diabolo was exorbitant at €6.80, outrageous, especially when it was €3.50 in the bars next door – almost double! And the coffee prices... don't even get me started! Everything was ridiculously expensive. We stayed anyway, since we were already seated, and ordered coffee. But apparently, they only serve it in the morning and not in the afternoon. We really didn't understand the concept. Furthermore, when we went to the restroom, the person behind the bar gave us such a nasty look; frankly, I don't understand that attitude. In short, we were very disappointed and shocked by the behavior, and I definitely don't recommend it.

04/11/2024: Too expensive for what it is!
Beware of the tourist trap hiding behind the fake "market produce" label. The dining room was gloomy, and we were seated at a table in a corner near the kitchen exit, next to a storage room. I ordered the market menu and was still hungry afterward. My friend ordered the €30 menu, to which they added a €4.50 supplement! €35 for a starter and main course at lunchtime, and still being hungry afterward is unacceptable! The bottle of sparkling water was flat, with no bubbles; and despite complaining, they didn't acknowledge our return. In short, we felt like we were bothering them, even though we spent over €60 for two people at lunchtime!
In short, avoid it!

29/11/2024: Derrière le décor original et un service chaleureux où le tutoiement est de rigueur se cache une cuisine authentique où les gambas, saint jacques , seiches et cabillaud se côtoient dans le pot de chambre de mémé .
Très belle soirée que je conseille fortement.

19/10/2025: A warm welcome and delicious flavors. We had a great time at this restaurant on the quay. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a big smile and a lot of kindness. The service remained attentive and professional throughout the meal, without ever being intrusive. We immediately felt welcome. A special mention for the planters, who were simply excellent! Perfectly balanced, tasty, and generous, they put us in the perfect mood. The dishes were delicious, full of flavor, and clearly prepared with fresh, quality products. From the presentation to the taste, it was flawless. The homemade fries were absolutely excellent, golden and flavorful, just the way we like them.

28/06/2025: The staff were incredibly friendly and smiling, which is a welcome change as it's becoming increasingly rare. The food was delicious and satisfying, appealing to both children and adults with their daily specials. I highly recommend it, especially with the added bonus of a harbor view! 👌🏻👍🏻

01/12/2023: Restaurant bien situé dans LA ROCHELLE, mais trop à l'étroit. Aucune intimité, nous étions les uns sur les autres. Moules bien garnies mais pas assez cuites, dommage!!!
Par contre la brioche en dessert, un régal.
