08/01/2026: What can I say? It's simply an excellent place. We came on New Year's Day after a heavy night of drinking, and the delicious oysters, éclades (a type of clafoutis), and cognac made us forget our hangovers. The service was also excellent. Thank you to the owner for the warm welcome.

We had a superb lunch. The dishes were prepared with care, cooked to perfection, and made with high-quality ingredients.
Special mention for the desserts, simply incredible.
A place I recommend without hesitation, and where we will gladly return!
19/01/2026: Friendly and attentive service, delicious food. Lovely setting with a view of the port, in the evening sun and away from the tourist traps. Very accommodating to us and our 4 month old baby who (mostly) slept next to us in her pram.

25/01/2026: We arrived at this restaurant on a Sunday evening at 8 pm. We were immediately seated at the bar counter to eat, even though there were still seats available inside. The service was appalling; we ate in 30 minutes just to free up our seats as quickly as possible.
However, the food was very good, I must admit.

11/11/2025: I really enjoyed my lunch here. My friends and I stopped here for lunch while we were in La Rochelle. Our server was very friendly and efficient. I ordered a pizza and it was delicious, my friends ordered fish and chips and burgers and they love them. Great wine list. I recommend stopping here for lunch, coffee or just a beer and watch people going about thier lives. Next time I'm in La Rochelle I'm stopping in for lunch again.
24/09/2025: We stopped here for an excellent grand cafe plus a glass of Pinot de Charente on the side. Both were served swiftly and pleasantly.

30/12/2025: The service was attentive and very friendly; we were seated quite quickly despite the restaurant being absolutely packed (and it's large!).
We were seated in the outdoor chalet, which was very well heated and had great French music playing, where we enjoyed delicious winter dishes.
However, the dishes were served without any fuss, and the portions were rather small for the price, even sadly empty (for example, the roasted Mont d'Or cheese, €18, served alone with some potatoes taken straight from the bag).
28/12/2025: The food was nice, but the service was poor; they took a long time to take our order and didn't ask if we wanted anything to drink…

€10 for a 50cl beer, a Diabolo for the same price as a soft drink...
Server (probably the owner) not very clean, elbow and t-shirt covered in blood.
Very dirty place, completely out of place next to a 5-star hotel.
I don't recommend it.

11/11/2025: Appalling service. If you don't pay at the till yourself, nothing will happen. Credit cards and contactless payments are nonexistent for amounts under €10 because they don't want to enrich the banks! And the pretentious waiters are always lecturing you... A sugar cube served with a black coffee... Run away as fast as you can... seriously!

L'accueil et le service sont chaleureux.
Le calme de l'autre côté du port est appréciable. On recommande !
