25/09/2024: We discover this magnificent place, the welcome, the dishes, the wines, the (house) cocktails, everything is divine! Thanks to our cousins ​​for introducing us to this restaurant! To recommend with your eyes closed!!

15/09/2024: Quality service. Refined products but lack of cooking for the fish (arrived lukewarm or even cold), meat not cooked as requested. Very good variety of products. Small problem: no possibility of welcoming people with disabilities: toilets not adapted, dining rooms either. Stairs are present everywhere...

07/09/2024: Very friendly and smiling welcome in this restaurant where the dishes are delicious: perfectly cooked duck breasts, tasty foie gras with delicious vegetable accompaniments. We do not regret this unplanned lunch stop and we highly recommend it.

22/08/2024: A nice little bike stop. Delicious treats, the same goes for the dishes, good and generous. As for the service, smile and attention were at the meeting.

22/09/2024: Points +: The meal was delicious. The service was impeccable and the server friendly. We discovered the François 1er cocktail which I strongly recommend trying to all those who like cognac ☺ The setting is pleasant. Point - : Only downside, my rare meat was served to my husband and I had his meat medium rare... Perhaps we should set up a color code (flag toothpick or plate with a red border for rare and a another color for medium, well done or blue) to no longer make this kind of little mistake...

19/09/2024: Quite a strange experience - the room was lovely and the service was good, but unfortunately it was let down by the food. We went mid week and had a fixed price lunch - me a starter and main, my uncle a main and dessert, with the food arriving so that we both had two courses at the same time. My squid starter was good, but my uncle's main of 'flying bird' (it turned out to be chicken) looked pretty tough and over-cooked. We asked about this, because I had ordered the same for my main, and the dish that appeared for me a few minutes later was almost unrecognisable as the same course! So - a good experience overall, but it's a shame when a restaurant with good service can be let down by quality control in the kitchen.

07/09/2024: At the top!!! Our first time as a family in this restaurant and certainly not the last. We really enjoyed it, everything was the presentation, the taste, the meat was really tender, my daughter loved the fries (the proof is that they cost extra fries 😋) and the desserts were perfect. 25/08/2024: Don't stop at the very small front, the room and the terrace are at the back. Warm service. menu with starter, main course and dessert for €35 with several choices. Fresh produce, very good French meats. I recommend.

31/08/2024: First time I've commented on a restaurant, I spent 3 months traveling to Barbezieux, and after looking around it's the best restaurant in the area. Great welcome, home-cooked food (fries, etc.). For those who like meat I recommend it, I have never been disappointed. Top product.

25/08/2024: We came here for lunch having checked it out on TripAdvisor where it achieved high rankings. The only downside in my view was that it lacked atmosphere, but I’m sure that was only because it was around 12:30 for lunch, and it seemed to be quiet in Angoulême in mid-August. In any event, we greatly enjoyed our meal. My wife had a delicious burger, while I had an excellent steak tartare, all washed down with an excellent local white wine. Very attentive service by our friendly waiter.
