22/10/2025: We didn't come to the hotel, but simply to dine at this exceptional restaurant. The lunch served was truly perfect and delicious. We completed the meal with a two-hour spa session. The cozy room, perfect for relaxation, is completely perfect...jacuzzi, spa, and a private hammam just for us. Everything was perfect; we had a wonderful day...not to mention the staff, who are discreet, professional, and completely friendly. Thank you😉

22/09/2025: Perfect place to stay. Peaceful scenic valley setting. Beautiful serenity. Very well equipped accommodation with everything you would need. Built to a very hight standard and spacious accommodation. The outside bbq and pool area were a real highlight for me. The host was very friendly helpful and polite. I would recommend a stay here to anyone.

Certainly one of the most beautiful addresses in the area, with a sublime terrace in the summer with historic covered markets. Villebois Lavalette already smelled very good with its magnificent castle, but with a very beautiful restaurant like this... don't hesitate... to book!

24/12/2025: The pork cheek served today, December 24th, at lunchtime was extraordinary. My son ate the most beautiful vegetables of his life with his scallops. The molten chocolate sauce was divine. And all that for the price of a McDonald's meal. I hesitated for a long time to share this address for fear it might change, but I think it's time to publicly declare that it's by far the best value for money in the Charente region. €18 for a starter, main course, dessert, and a glass of wine. And every dish was absolutely delicious. Bravo to the chef and the waitress! Happy holidays! Please come back with your creativity and kindness. Bravo!

01/02/2026: We had dinner there last night as a family to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant is secluded, overlooking the Anguienne Valley. The welcome was pleasant and warm. The atmosphere is hushed and relaxing; the layout, with several small rooms, seemed to us to be a real plus, as it creates an intimate and cozy feel. As for the food, everything is perfectly balanced in terms of flavor, texture, and seasoning. It's truly a masterclass in cooking, full of flavor, smokiness, sweetness, and richness. We savored the beautifully presented dishes, taking a little of this with a little of that, creating a unique experience with each bite. It's exactly the kind of cuisine I love: sophisticated yet unpretentious, generous, and perfectly balanced. The hanger steak with its cauliflower purée and rich jus brought a big smile to my face from the first bite, and the shredded haddock was superb. The dessert was almost "too much," but it was the perfect ending to a wonderful culinary experience. The two people serving were very pleasant, smiling, and professional. We came with two children, ages 11 and 7, and the chef offered us a variation from the menu with fries (fresh ☺️) but with the same high-quality meat. They thoroughly enjoyed it. In short, it's a great place, offering good value for money considering the quality of the food and the generous portions. We can't wait to come back in the summer. Thank you so much for a lovely evening.

31/01/2026: Today we had lunch here, for the first time with the new owners (who previously owned the Epicurieux in Angoulême). There's a choice of two starters, two mains and two desserts and the price is €42 for three courses. The food was beautifully presented and was delicious. Friendly service which is not rushed.
