14/12/2024: This is the second time we have come to this restaurant. The food is very good and the service is good. The prices are very reasonable and the plates are very generous. I doubt the authenticity of the negative comments that I read before coming.

13/12/2024: I ate with my daughter 2 days ago and it was a pleasant experience. For my part, we took a plancha with prawns, scallops and fish. What a delight and as much as you want. My daughter tasted tartare, beef and duck and this tasting was a nice surprise. To do again.

15/01/2025: Our first Formule du Marché and it is highly recommended. The service and food was excellent. The steak was the best we have ever been served. The profiterole dessert was the largest one we have ever seen ! We will return.

24/09/2024: We came for dinner after our Hennessy experience at Hennessy, and there they recomend us this place for dinner. The place is located in a super nice building in front of the local market. The service was exceptional (our waiter said was his first day, but he was super good). The food was exceptional, the music is an interesting option, with rap and a bit more modern music, but in a very good volume and selected with very good taste. And gives a very good ambience to the place. Was really difficult to choose what to eat, everything on the menu looks amazing. About the price we spent 37€ per person for a meal with a starters, mains, dessert and drinks (beers and cocktail). So I think is a very good price. We are going to come back for the lunch, they told us that for lunch they have a “markets menu”. We can only recommend this place on your next visit to Cognac.

22/09/2024: We experienced the Origins restaurant as a family last night and what can we say, just incredible, we had a great evening. Very warm welcome, background music, very pleasant setting 😊 The cocktails and the cuisine reflect the incredible restaurant 🤤 we had a great time, I really recommend this restaurant without hesitation 😊

06/12/2024: Take away. Not 1 smile from any staff member. Food had no flavour, bland, not spicy even though asked for ‘hot’, khaki coloured and curdled texture, no vegetables in sight - chicken jalfrezi. Tarka dhal - no flavour, hard lentils. Brinjal/aubergine bhaji - slosh, khaki coloured again, tasted of nothing. Chicken tikka masala - looked the part, again, no flavour. Very disappointed.

07/09/2024: At the top!!! Our first time as a family in this restaurant and certainly not the last. We really enjoyed it, everything was the presentation, the taste, the meat was really tender, my daughter loved the fries (the proof is that they cost extra fries 😋) and the desserts were perfect. We ate really well and we will come back with great pleasure 😊 Excellent value for money. Thanks to Monique and the waitress for their welcome and kindness. See you soon for sure 👍😉

25/08/2024: Don't stop at the very small front, the room and the terrace are at the back. Warm service. menu with starter, main course and dessert for €35 with several choices. Fresh produce, very good French meats. I recommend.

01/09/2024: So the beautiful star what can I say the plates are very copious however the contents 😪 Périgourdine with 1 kg of bacon without dried duck breast or foie gras toast on stale bread Then you ask for the same bread, always stale To see again!!!!

11/10/2024: A real gem! This restaurant is a little hidden gem in North Charente! The welcome is warm and friendly, the cuisine is a delight, each dish is prepared with care and the flavors are simply exquisite. The products are fresh, the portions generous, and the presentation is neat, a pure delight! I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves good food and is looking for an authentic and enjoyable experience!

18/10/2024: Parfaitement surpris , qualité , quantité , accueil , produits de première qualité viande légumes , le plateau très bien présenté , donc très agréable à l'oeil donc double plaisir de consommer ,très bon accueil également malgré arrivée tardive par apport à la fin de service .
