14/09/2024: Large clean comfortable room (Madame's room) Good breakfast made the stay good value for money. Evening meal at €25 for four courses was delicious and ample.

09/08/2024: We own a holiday home in the area and this is one of our favourite places for the past 15 years. Excellent location to have an apperative under the huge oak tree, fixed menu. LOL the same menu for the past 15yrs at least, basic but the athmosphere is excellent. Kids love it too! Firendly staff and hey they speak english too nowadays....

04/06/2024: We privatized the entire hotel for our wedding with my wife. Everything was perfect, whether in terms of the services offered around the rental such as the starry sky to magnify the room, in terms of the welcome and exchanges with Alexandra who took care of us. The staff we encountered were always smiling and polite. Paul also who took care of us for the outing was super nice. The place is magical, it is a real green setting on the banks of the Charente in the center of Cognac full of charm. Our guests were all delighted with the setting and the rooms which they found comfortable and atypical for trailers. For your wedding, look no further, this is the ideal reception venue! We felt at home. Thank you again for your welcome!

25/05/2024: We went there 3 times before organizing our wedding there. Really on top The location is great: You are in the center of Cognac and yet you have the impression of being in the countryside. It's quiet and you have restaurants right next door. The bedding is very good quality, the welcome is professional and warm. They bend over backwards for you: our coffee machine in the room was broken, it was replaced in 20 minutes!!! We had a great time there, as did our guests. Sincere congratulations to the team and the boss, who is very friendly.

14/08/2024: Une seule soirée à Cognac et je mise sur les excellents avis sur ce restaurant... Quelle erreur ! Les plats n'ont rien a voir en terme de dressage avec les photos des internautes. Mon risotto vénéré est ignoble (je pèse mes mots n'ayant pas l'habitude de prendre la parole négativement ici) . Renvoyé une première fois car froid et reçu en deuxième service avec gambas et moules micro ondées en texture ramette de papier. La viande de mon compagnon trop cuite et les pommes grenailles attendues étaient des patates à l'eau. Au prix des plats c'est se moquer du monde. Passez votre chemin en attendant le retour d'un chef de cuisine à la hauteur.

23/09/2024: What to say? Where to start? Even if perfection does not exist, we can say that this one has been touched. We celebrated our wedding there and... wow! Sublime, creative and adapted cuisine. Congratulations to the chef and his team for this wonderful dinner. With a Signature dessert that our taste buds still remember.. The most impeccable service! A maître d’ absolutely overflowing with kindness and breathtaking professionalism. Outstanding ! As well as his team of course, also professional and adorable, like their leader. All our guests were touched by this moment of happiness spent in these places. Thanks to the whole team! We will come back!

11/08/2024: Positive: - the setting, quite simply with a beautiful, refined and tastefully decorated decoration. We feel when we see everything is going well that we are going to toast the bill 😂 - the staff, frankly very friendly and helpful (a lady with short hair and an Italian type lady). Always a plus for the restaurant! - the dishes and the presentation of the plates Negative: - frankly, the big downside was having canned peas/carrots in one of our dishes 🫤 Given the price we paid (more than 160 euros with a dish to share, 4 aperitifs and 4 main courses), I was expecting something other than canned goods for this vegetable. And even if the boss or boss tells me no based on my opinion, I would say again and maintain that it was a can. Just disappointed with this choice even though the restaurant calls itself bistronomic. For the rest, nothing to report, everything was really good. Good luck to the whole team.

08/06/2024: Having arrived completely by chance in this small restaurant of Scandinavian specialties, we highly recommend the place!! Everything was excellent, fresh and perfectly presented and prepared. Professional and very, very pleasant service staff. We really had a blast! Perfect fish cooking with great little green asparagus! Homemade marinated salmon toast, super good and fresh!! Beef toast on a bed of eggs..👍 And...a dessert...red fruit crumble to die for!!! Thank you for this relaxing and delicious break. Well done to everyone and special mention to the cooks who often remain in the shadows of their stoves. All the best for the future!! 24/08/2024: Etablissement de grande qualité tout est fait maison et ça se sent. Les plats sont très bons. La patronne a du caractère. Le service est rapide. La rue était piétonnisée donc le cadre était sympathique. Le concert de rock nous a plut (concerts que certains jours en été si j'ai bien compris) Je ne mets pas 5 étoiles car j'ai été un peu déçu par la quantité de crevettes dans mon entrée et c'est peut être un tout petit peu cher pour ce type d'établissement. Mais encore une fois plats délicieux originaux et soignés, c'est un plaisir. Mais je recommande fortement cet établissement qui donne goût à la bonne cuisine et à l'art de la table.

26/08/2024: Well, where to start? Fantastic staff, went out of their way to make you feel welcome and at home. Nothing was too much trouble. Food, absolutely exceptional - not a crumb left on any plate, very reasonably priced too. We were celebrating my birthday and they allowed us to take cakes and prepared them with candles. Ambience, such a lovely location, really feels like some old friends have invited you round for dinner. Yes, the glasses are all different and the host might get the order a bit mixed up (quickly rectified) but honestly one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in ages. Can’t wait to return!

22/09/2024: For those like me who like to eat at the market and like seafood and fish, there is something to enjoy at Brice, with also enough to have a croque monsieur or chicken to satisfy a group.

30/06/2024: Nous sommes venus aux ombrages hier pour notre mariage. Tout était parfait. L'installation autour d'une table ronde ( nous étions 11) était idéale pour voir et entendre tout le monde. Le service irréprochable. Une cuisine délicieuse, raffinée que chaque convive a fortement appréciée. Nous nous sommes régalés ! Merci beaucoup. Nous reviendrons très vite .

29/08/2024: Staying nearby we wandered down for a quick drink and what a lovely bunch they are here . The lady spoke very good english which was helpful. The beer was good and the wine was beautiful. Had a couple of items from the dessert menu and they was lovely

28/08/2024: After a few beautiful walks in Nanteuil en Vallée, go to this restaurant where the welcome is very friendly, with good products and good beers!
