03/09/2024: I found myself in this place by chance (no more time) A starter buffet with only fresh produce, the main course was generously served and the dessert was very good and fresh. For a price of €17.90 I find that it is worthy of what I ate. Thank you for this meal. I forgot to say that the staff are very welcoming.

11/09/2024: Très déçu. Nous sommes habitués aux restaurants gastronomiques voire étoilés et nous sommes venus dans celui-ci sur recommandation. Après nous avoir proposé et servi l’apéritif, nous avons attendu une heure pour la prise de commande. Rien à redire sur le service et la qualité des plats jusqu’au dessert sauf une erreur sur une sauce corrigée dès que nous avons réussi à interpeler le serveur. Au dessert, les crèmes brûlées qui accompagnaient les deux cafés gourmands avaient tourné et étaient absolument écœurantes, tant au nez qu’au palais. Après que nous lui ayons signalé, le serveur l’a constaté immédiatement à l’odeur et s’est empressé de les retourner en cuisine. Ils les a remplacées très rapidement. Au moment de l’addition, à plus 500€ pour 6, aucun mot d’excuses et aucun geste commercial . C’est très bien d’utiliser et d’entretenir la réputation de l’ancien propriétaire, mais ça oblige, et ce ne fut vraiment pas le cas cette fois-ci.

09/09/2024: Nous avons déjeuné dans ce restaurant après avoir visité une maison de cognac toute proche. Heureusement que nous avions réservé car toutes les tables étaient prises. Nous avons pris le menu et en avons été pleinement satisfaits. Les assiettes sont bien dressées, les plats savoureux et les portions très correctes. Le service est aimable et efficace. Je recommande cette enseigne.

28/08/2024: The pancakes are shiny and too greasy, and we don't find the good taste of the salted butter typical of the pancakes. It's a shame because they become disgusting and difficult to finish. Likewise, sweet crepes seem to be a thing of the past; they are rubbery and not particularly tasty. The flaming is poorly done, which leaves a bad, pronounced alcohol taste.

28/08/2024: We had already visited this creperie with my partner, we came back this evening and were delighted. The pancakes were excellent, plentiful as they should be, the same for the desserts. The welcome as always warm and accommodating. (We were able to eat our desserts inside when the cold set in). If you want to eat in a place that perfectly combines professionalism and passion for cooking, then go to this creperie with a family atmosphere and guaranteed smiles :)

06/08/2024: Très belle découverte dans cette petite commune de Montboyer; nous cherchions un restaurant à proximité de notre chambre d'hotes pour dîner un soir en amoureux. Pizza excellente avec une pâte exceptionnelle, et que dire de l'entrecôte... la viande fuyait le couteau... Tout ça avec des produits issus de producteurs locaux et un bon accueil en prime. Que demande le peuple ?

17/04/2024: Excellent French cuisine! Foie gras. St Jacques with porcini mushrooms, duck breast cooked in the fireplace. I overdid it a little, I admit. In the middle of the Cognac country. There were 3 of us, elegant desserts from the other guests and a range of top-level coffees. A bit of a wait for service but worth the wait. A lalande of pomerol on top. Yum long live France and deep Charente

21/08/2024: Un restaurant très convivial et à l'image du Nord. Des gérants très sympa qui apprécient échanger avec ses clients . On y mange bien, des produits typiques du Nord, mais pas que ..... à un prix défiant tte concurrence. Deco très sympa et marquée par toute la culture des chtis. Le plus, un régal pour les amateurs de bière avec une belle cave à bière comprenant sa propre production de bière. Bravo et un grand merci à vous. Allez ci !!!!!

13/09/2024: Decent food but hearing all evening the owner (ex-hairdresser) take his waitress back and allow himself to say in the back room: he's not going to bother me with his wine cellar... when it's hot and you ask if they have one, too hot red wine is really not good, it's really not worthy of a boss who treats his customers and employees properly. Having come hoping to find a good address near the house, we came for the first and last time.

05/09/2024: A lovely stop on our canal trip. Moored up in Jarnac (and drove 3 min; could have walked 18 min). Welcoming and jolly service. Abundant amuse bouche. Main courses of familiar ingredients but great originality. Deserts outstanding. Interesting and extensive wine list. Amazing range of cognacs. Excellent service and atmosphere. Enjoyed watching the chef through the window up a few stairs. Highly recommend!
