26/01/2025: Mini stay in Angoulême with my 11 year old daughter welcomed like a princess! A huge thank you to Estelle for her warm, generous and caring welcome as well as to the team who went out of their way to make this stay a delight. Thanks also to the equally adorable and attentive restaurant team (Samih is a gem). In addition to this general kindness, the hotel has a library where you instantly feel at home. The pleasure of playing a vinyl chosen from the selection available, the possibility of borrowing a book and the impeccable service of a much appreciated coffee and hot chocolate upon our arrival. Until the end the feeling of being pampered. Thank you and looking forward to coming back ❤

30/12/2024: Small impromptu stop with the family for a quick snack, very warm, very friendly welcome. We highly recommend. Always a little attention and smiles. Very pleasant moment.

29/12/2024: reduced menu during the holiday period. A menu at €43 with à la carte classics. good service, smiling and friendly. The kitchen is not up to the asking price. For example, a change of 10€ for a starter (salad and hot goat's cheese) as a main course deserved better than warm goat's cheese on industrial sandwich bread. As for the entrecôte, it was not seared, accompanied by a small pot of sauce with a portion of fries (quite good) and three salad leaves, two half cherry tomatoes and a very basic dressing. At 25€ we expect more generous. Efforts must be made to achieve a higher quality more in line with the asking price.

15/09/2024: Quality service. Refined products but lack of cooking for the fish (arrived lukewarm or even cold), meat not cooked as requested. Very good variety of products. Small problem: no possibility of welcoming people with disabilities: toilets not adapted, dining rooms either. Stairs are present everywhere...

So apart from the little hiccup (probably a very trivial communication problem between colleagues) very satisfied.

22/11/2025: We regularly return to this establishment when we're shopping nearby. We're always pleased with the food, the portion sizes, the service, and the overall experience. Today's special was Alsatian-themed. The sauerkraut was very good, but there were other options available.

15/01/2025: One of our best dinner-experience during a roadtrip! Super friendly staff motivating us to try to speak French (but helped when we were struggling). Service not too quick and not too slow, just right. Restaurant feels family-run but I don’t know. Nice menu. Not everything was available but we were fine with it. Had a really good three course meal with aperitif and a bottle of wine. Everything of good quality and really tasty. Prices fair. Couldn’t recommend more.

15/01/2025: Very good address for a lunch stop. The daily menu is very correct with home cooking, the service is fast and the welcome is warm We made it our lunch stop when we were passing through this area. During major departures, you may need to book, they were overwhelmed on December 23

07/01/2025: Nice place But the price is way too high for the quality. 33euro for the menu between main course and dessert. +6 if you want cheese. We ordered 4 burgers on 4 plates, 2 had no salad or tomatoes and the other two arrived upside down with half of the burger having slipped on the plate. For dessert, the frozen macaron Sorry but two macaron shells with a scoop of ice cream in the middle and whipped cream compared to the price of the menu, namely 28 euros per dessert dish, I find this to be disrespectful for the customer. The restaurant is nice but without reviewing the prices to avoid.
