27/09/2026: First day and a lunchtime treat in Bergerac. We didn't know what to expect but our apartment owner recommended here and after a 4am start to our journey from the UK, we needed the Menu du Midi. The amuse bouche gazpacho and the delicious warm popcorn bread with butter salted with seaweed were great. Starter of goats cheese salad and oeuf parfait very tasty and the main dishes of roasted salmon and pork were beautifully presented and filling. The orange cake with sorbet and grand marnier with an expresso, the perfect finale. But for us the highlight was the staff, both waitresses a real delight, so welcoming and patient with my attempts to converse in French but also discreet and professional. It was a great way to start our holiday as we found the people in Bergerac to be so friendly and open. Well done, Chapeau!

05/10/2026: We were pleasantly surprised by this place, which we discovered with friends last Sunday! We realized that in the future it would be best to book ahead as it's quite popular… 🤭! Our Périgord salads were generous and the ingredients were quite good and local (although the tomatoes 🍅 were a bit of a letdown, as I don't think they were local and had no flavor… what a shame 😞!). The homemade ice creams and sorbets were also delicious! The service was excellent (energetic, humorous, and friendly) and there was hardly any wait to be served. The place is rather noisy and the tables are quite close together, but this doesn't prevent us from having a conversation without raising our voices. We will gladly return to try other dishes. 😋 😋 😋 😋

03/10/2026: Very reasonable price considering the lovely location, walking and swimming – everything you need for a great time. I went one evening when there was a Latin music group playing, which was really great. I recommend it.

08/09/2026: A truly lovely little spot, discovered quite by chance, and one I wholeheartedly recommend! The daily menu is fantastic: three choices for the starter, main course, and dessert, all at an excellent price. The waitresses are delightful, attentive from beginning to end. One small, entirely unintentional issue: I was feeling a bit under the weather that day and couldn't fully enjoy my meal, but the staff were kind enough to pack everything up for me so I could enjoy it later at home. This thoughtful touch shows how much care and attention they give to this place. I'll gladly return, feeling much better this time!

26/09/2026: We had a excellent meal at La Table. The food was a wonderful mixture of tastes and textures and we really enjoyed our 3 course menu. Service was great and we had a chat with the chef at the end which is always a treat.

13/09/2026: The setting was pleasant, but the food left much to be desired. We ordered two different starters and two different main courses, all of which were very average. Nothing seemed to be properly cooked; it was more like assembling relatively poor-quality ingredients. Very disappointing considering the 4.4/5 rating.

In addition to the delicious Périgord cuisine, the service is impeccable 👌🏼 I recommend the meats, which are carefully selected by the chef and are of exceptional quality. 06/10/2026: Cutting in front of customers several times when the establishment is almost empty and leaving them waiting is simply unacceptable. It's not so much the wait itself, it's a complete lack of respect.

23/08/2026: Excellent roast chicken 👌 A bit pricey, probably because of the quality, so not for those on a tight budget. You can't eat in on Sundays, so it's takeout only. There's even a vending machine next door when the rotisserie is closed.
