22/06/2024: Je déjeune depuis plusieurs années assez régulierement dans cet étabissement, avec des amis. Nous sommes généralement 6 ou 8. Nous n'avons jamais été déçu, et c'est l'avis de tous. Que ce soit dans les assiettes ou le service. C'est pourquoi j'ai un peu de mal à comprendre certains avis négatifs. Pourtant je pense être honnete lors de mes commentaires, et n'hesite pas à dire quand je suis déçu.

05/08/2024: On a business trip -Impeccable service -Catering despite the fact that I eat lunch and dinner at the restaurant every day of the week, they managed to surprise me with astonishing flavors with the parmentier 2.0 and the chocolate and apricot coulis dessert -Spacious and very clean room A little downside to quibble otherwise we're not French It's a week with high temperatures and there is no air conditioning but it's still largely bearable I highly recommend, I will come back

24/08/2024: The owner seems so kind and fragile that I played the hypocrite and told her everything was fine. But she has no cooking training. I felt sorry for Etchebest for 45 minutes when he arrives in this kind of restaurant. The only company I had was the numerous midges. Hygiene-wise, it's not as catastrophic as you might think from reading the reviews, but it's so old and damp. The kitchen was more or less tidy. Regarding the kitchen, they use Simply brand products. As indicated, the eggs are fresh; you can check the date; the box of 20 is on the counter. Savory crepe, the smoked ham, and the egg were cooked too long in the crepe, but it's still decent. They ask me if I want salad because they only make salad on request because customers don't eat it. Obviously, it's ocean lettuce without dressing! You'd expect a bit of mesclun with a walnut oil vinaigrette. Salted butter caramel crepe. It's a caramel for decoration that hardens in 2 minutes. Luckily, I understood and immediately cut my crepe into small pieces. She asks me if it wasn't too hard because she usually uses liquid cream, but it's out of stock! Like there's no supermarket nearby where she can buy a small pot of liquid cream. In short, when you don't have the skills, even with a smile, it can't work.

06/08/2024: Very disappointed, we're wondering how the 3.8 stars were awarded 😳 Being from Brittany, I wanted to share this with my colleagues. As soon as we entered the establishment, we noticed a suspicious smell reminiscent of a chicken coop. Once seated, we were told that quite a few of the ingredients on the menu were missing. Looking left and then right, we quickly realized the questionable hygiene standards made us want to run away, but being respectful, we decided to stay! 😥 Coke for 3.80 in a can!, a bowl of cider served in a classic glass. When the bill came, I went to the kitchen and shed a tear in my eyes (no, you didn't eat that). The billig had never been pickled, the pancake batter and its container were more than questionable in terms of freshness, open jars everywhere, the toilet with the oil stove hadn't been cleaned for too long, the sink the same. I wasn't planning on leaving a comment, but given the previous reports of questionable hygiene, I see that NOTHING has been done, despite the owner's response saying he would take the necessary action following the comments. We could tell the owner was disappointed to be serving such questionable food, but despite the comments, she doesn't seem to have the spark. PULSE YOURSELF TOGETHER or SHUT UP, please!

25/06/2024: Très bon accueil sympathique et qualité tout à fait honnête. Pas en "première ligne" mais plus au calme. Merci pour ce déjeuner dans une rue agréable avec une belle vue sur la cathédrale

03/09/2024: Arriving by chance at the La Broche du Sud restaurant, we left delighted, delicious liver and fresh fig terrine as a starter, delicious dishes, skewer of sirloin fillet and very tender lamb shank and to finish an excellent homemade baba with pipettes of rum, 30.99 euros per person, who could say better!!!! I recommend 100% Plus, opposite the cathedral 😃

04/11/2024: Nous avons couché une nuit au Parvis ; très gentiment accueillis par François et son fils. Petit hôtel merveilleusement situé à une minute de la cathédrale. Chambre impeccable avec petit salon impeccables. Une super adresse. petit déjeuner très copieux. Patron pince sans rire et bienveillant. Bref, nous y retournerons !

25/09/2024: I stayed in this lovely, small hotel for one night in September 2024. The staff were friendly and I enjoyed the breakfast. Guests can see the cathedral from the front steps. I would stay here again.

25/08/2024: Everything comes together as Perfect at the White Cross with excellent value for money from the starter to the gourmet dessert including the legendary Trou Normand. I highly recommend this restaurant.

15/09/2024: Nous avons passé une bonne soirée avec des serveurs très sympathiques. Les plats étaient très bons et copieux l'assiette de fromage n'était pas extraordinaire mais les st jacques une tuerie !! Bémol pour le menu enfant : inexistant sur la carte, un seul choix fait de chipolatas/frites glace Smarties facturé 18€!!! Quel dommage pour ce type d'établissement. Peut être que la clientèle habituelle est au dessus de 15 ans...

31/08/2024: Jean-Pierre is a great host with a sense of humor with a twist, talking to him makes you smile, whatever the subject. Lovely - and dangerous- cocktails, we had a great dinner, slept well. Hotel is in a quiet area with the park garden near a small river. A hidden gem, well worth the detour! Christine & Alain.

11/09/2024: Calamars à la romaine et moules du Mont St Michel avec un verre de sancerre blanc, tout était délicieux 😋 Le service a été très efficace et aimable . Les prix sont vraiment corrects. Je recommande vraiment ce restaurant.

23/05/2024: Bar where you feel at home. Beautifully decorated. Old tiles. Old furniture. Very good charcuterie and cheese platters. Very good beers to discover. Very nice atmosphere. I highly and highly recommend. At the foot of the cathedral.

25/08/2024: The service is deplorable. The manager is not friendly and does not listen to orders. Lots of unnecessary back and forth. Head pointing downwards at all times. The definition of nonchalance in fact. She takes orders and forgets to ask for appetizers. When the aperitifs arrived, the whole tray was spilled on me. No apology from him. I was told about a nightmare in the kitchen and I didn't dare look at the reviews because I was a guest, but when I left the restaurant I immediately watched the replay to understand that nothing had changed. Thank you for the strawberry pana cota which ultimately will be apricot with popcorn but after asking him “well it will be apricot”. The fries are actually potatoes. That said, it wasn't that bad, except the desserts which weren't really good (cook on vacation so that can be explained). Thank you for the gesture with the aperitifs offered at the time of payment even if my partner has a stained jacket and I spent my meal being soaked. Unfortunately with a manager like that, it could only be a failure with Estebech. Sorry for the staff around him but you have to experience it to believe it…

11/08/2024: I am not judging the rooms or the location of the establishment, that is not the point since we went to the restaurant. The dishes are just as good as in a well-run brasserie, served generously but nothing transcendent either. The owner who served us was friendly even if she regretted at the time of the bill that we had not consumed anything, certainly but the era of meals with: aperitif, bottle of wine, digestive and coffee date from another era. This establishment must be considered as a brasserie and not as the restaurant that it may have been in another era. Good experience.

The smiling owners, the meal with choice from start to finish. Complete package with wine or cider SUPERB little restaurant (large restaurant) To recommend without reservation, Everything is homemade with ample parking in front of the establishment
