14/06/2026: Conclusion: Never again! I'll start with the positives: Great location Friendly servers (though 🤔) Fast service (for us; it wasn't the case for other tables) And now for the negatives, which are going to be much longer: The meat in the pie was pink, so let's just say undercooked pork isn't exactly a good idea! Same for the pastry, undercooked underneath. So I decided to eat what looked cooked with a little raw vegetable. When the waiter came to collect our plates, I asked him if I could have the leftovers from my plate, which was more than half, and he replied, "No problem, as long as it's not me who has to do it," smiling at his own joke. Since I was still hungry, I decided to order a blueberry tart, and there it was, same story: undercooked pastry!! But the icing on the cake was when I got to the till. The waiter apologized, but the person clearing the table threw away the remains of my plate—basically, 70% of my meal! Honestly, I could have accepted a cooking error that day, but for the waiter not even to ask if the dish wasn't appreciated, given that it went back to the kitchen almost as full as when it came out, is unprofessional! And I'm not even mentioning the fact that he was probably the one who should have wrapped up the leftovers, and that this clearly bothered him a lot. The bottom line: this dish cost me, at the very least, twenty euros for five bites...

25/08/2026: Bad experience at the Eguisheim shop I had a bad experience at this Alsatian biscuit shop in Eguisheim on Sunday, August 23, 2026. The main saleswoman on duty that day was very unpleasant, almost bothered by my presence with my 5-year-old daughters. Drawn in by the sample biscuits offered to tourists at the entrance, I then wanted to choose my macarons, but she was curt and barely let me choose myself; she decided for me. She even seemed annoyed that another saleswoman had offered me a biscuit to try, going so far as to ask me where I was eating it in front of the queue. I got the impression that she mainly wanted me to leave the shop as quickly as possible. I've tried the same chain in Strasbourg and Colmar, and all the saleswomen there were pleasant, except for this one on Sunday, August 23, in Eguisheim. A disappointing experience that I will not forget.

21/08/2026: Nice cookies. However, the staff gave us the impression that we're bothering them with our presence when buying their not too cheap goodies.

22/08/2026: Original comment: Service is horrible. The server was rude and didn’t let us go in with our stroller. After response of Owner: I don’t know who wrote this response, but if you are the manager, then I’m not surprised by the way your staff treated us. It wasn’t only the fact that we were not allowed in, but also the way things were said. Just for clarification, we wanted to sit on the terrace, so we were not “going inside,” and there was plenty of space for the stroller to be there. Also, there hasn’t been a single restaurant we’ve been to (and we travel a lot) that hasn’t allowed us to go inside or onto their terrace with our stroller, or at least asked us politely, once they had accommodated us, to move it somewhere else

22/08/2026: Perfect welcome, friendly and pleasant service without a reservation, good home cooking. Beautiful village, a lovely spot after a hike.

25/08/2026: First morning of vacation in this picturesque Alsatian village and first disappointment when tasting the pastries (croissants and pain au chocolat)... were they even fresh? That's the question: a bit dry, not very crispy... so different from last year. It's a real shame. The baguettes taste much more artisanal than the pastries. For our midday aperitif, we had pretzels, which unfortunately got damp, so we couldn't compare them to last year.

21/08/2026: Great bakery and very friendly staff. We enjoyed the (fairly priced) breakfast with great coffee and juice there every morning during our stay. The bread over the counter is also very tasty (minus the bretzel).

16/08/2026: I think recent reviews are rather unfair and glad I didn't base my decision to dine here on them. We've just had a really lovely lunch, good service (yes it appears only one waitress but she is very competent!), excellent local dishes and wine. The terrace is shaded and a perfect spot for an afternoon meal. Can't fault it at all actually.

10/08/2026: The reservation was taken, but when we arrived they discovered it, the glasses were all very dirty, and there was a colony of flies in the room…
