12/06/2026: Food was excellent, great products used and a lovely journey. I had the 8 course, with a couple of wine pairings.
Service however was something I wasn’t expecting to be this neglectful. I arrived alone and chose this restaurant because of the amazing recommendation in the michelin website.
I travelled alone for my birthday which I mentioned and while sitting alone I just got quick information on the dishes and that’s that. Which is fine when it’s busy, but I’ve been blessed to go to similar restaurants and star restaurants and there you always get more attention.
When the two last rounds came I wanted some extra wine but they were gone before I could ask. And after my last course it took them over 20 minutes to notice me asking for the bill.
I am a bit frustrated, and I somewhere hoped that there was a little birthday congratulation. But no.
To me I felt not happy when leaving, which is a huge difference with the amazing food.

10/05/2026: Passing through the village for a visit, we stopped at this establishment for a meal. I personally ordered the goat cheese and honey tarte flambée, it was delicious! All accompanied by a Muscat wine from a local producer, whom we ended up visiting afterwards.

27/05/2026: We were looking forward to it. Just a delicious meal after a long day of travel. Restaurant Le Kaysersberg seemed cozy to us. There was just one table left. We were given the menu and picked out something tasty. However, after about twenty minutes, no one from the wait staff had come to ask us if we wanted something to drink. They did have time to prepare other tables for new guests... After 25 minutes, we got up. Had a delicious meal at a simple Italian restaurant. Nice atmosphere there at Le Kaysersberg.

13/01/2025: Very good traditional cuisine, good service and value for money, small caveat to the term “Vegan” on the menu… the dishes contain cheese which is not “vegan”, the vegetarian term would be more appropriate.

25/05/2026: Fortunately open on Whit Monday and still a spot available. We were able to enjoy a delicious vegetarian meal. We both ordered vegetarian dishes. Very friendly and attentive service. The terrace looked very nice. Our dog also got a bowl of water right away.

22/05/2026: We were on a photo trip in and around Strasbourg. In a small town, we stumbled upon Au119. Just as our food arrived, it started to rain moderately heavily... We sat outside under an umbrella. Totally cozy and the tarte flambée was delicious! Definitely worth a visit!
20/05/2026: A pleasant time, friendly service, and very good food.
The interior is small, but that doesn't detract from the enjoyment of the meal 😃

The snails are not incredible, defrosted and therefore the sauce very watery, without fat.
Very good garnished sauerkraut, for big eater the 6 meats is not too much.
10/12/2024: Good welcome. Friendly staff who know the compositions of the dishes. Excellent winemaker's salad. Hearty sauerkraut and refined dessert all on the local menu. Good value for money.

27/09/2024: First, I want to share my experience about the service.
I’ve been to many places and restaurants in France, so I understand the French culture and service.
However, at this restaurant, the service from the lady with short blonde hair was really terrible, disappointing👎🏻 no smile, no welcome, and she lacked a service-minded attitude.
In contrast, the young man was friendly and smiling, which was appreciated.
The foie gras was great, but everything else was just okay, nothing special.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but if you’re looking for good service and a warm welcome, this restaurant is one to avoid☹️
20/09/2024: Die Begrüßung war schon ohne Augenkontakt, luststlos uns zu bedienen, die Wartezeiten zu den Bestellungen ewig lang, das Essen war gut, aber der Service eine Katastrophe. Wir haben nach dem Essen über 35 Minuten auf die Rechnung warten müssen. Insgesamt würde ich sagen, das die Inhaberin auf deutsche Gäste keine Lust hat. Wir sind in letzter Zeit viel in Frankreich unterwegs und haben viele nette Franzosen kennen gelernt, das hat uns einen Schritt zurück geworfen, schade.
