06/09/2024: We looked at how this restaurant was rated before going there and we were very wise not to trust it: it is clearly not rated well enough. We arrived for lunch, there was one place left on the side, on the shopping street; we were seated there after being very well received. Then 5 minutes later, we were told that we had been found a table on the main terrace without having asked for anything. So we had a great place, and everything we ate was delicious! Incredible sardines with Brocciu! And super friendly service! In the evening, it's even prettier with the lights on the small square.

05/09/2024: restaurant without more, we had the appetizer at the same time as the main course, and after that no one was still waiting for dessert. too touristy, poorly followed service. for me avoided

04/09/2024: It almost happened by mistake, but I've never been happier! Very good cuisine for my short experience in a foreign land!!! But when you leave a restaurant with satisfaction and a dish in your heart.... For me it's a lot of stuff as they say! Friendly and courteous staff, fair price, but I would like to point out my beloved dish (cassolette de Poisson, forgive me if I write wrong, I only put myself on the line to spread such a pleasure!) all good, but the beloved one was excellent!!! Yes, also a nice location in the citadel with excellent views from the terrace.

06/08/2024: Ottima cena, una delle migliori fatte in Corsica. Ho mangiato i gamberi in tempura ed il tataki di tonno, entrambi molto buoni. Servizio efficiente e personale gentile. Bella posizione nella piazza principale di Isola Rossa.

03/09/2024: We stopped randomly before getting back on the boat. We were not disappointed the restaurant and very clean, the decor sober but superb, the sanitary facilities are large and clean and the hamburgers very good, we had paninis for the evening, they were very good even after 7:00 in a bag. We will return there if we take the boat back to the Rousse Island

15/09/2024: Conosco il ristorante Santa Maria da diverso tempo e si conferma un’eccellenza di Calvi. Situato sotto la cittadella, si caratterizza per un’atmosfera accogliente e piacevole. Favoloso il polpo alla mediterranea piatto forte del menù del locale. Eccellenti anche gli spaghetti alle vongole. Ottimi i desserts. Consigliato.

01/09/2024: Plats très bon et copieux. Seuls les beignets de fromage en entrée ont été une fausse note. La pâte à beignet est farineuse et prend le dessus sur le fromage qui n’a pas de goût. Tout le reste était impeccable et c’est une très bonne adresse.

14/09/2024: I am surprised that this place does not have 5 stars, I honestly hesitated to arrive because of the reviews, I arrived here because it is the closest when you get off the ferry and wait for your bus to the south of La Corsica (they leave right in front), I arrived not expecting much of the service and food and I was honestly pleasantly surprised. Let's start with the food, it is DELICIOUS!!!! And the desserts, not to mention, were delicious, I think the photos and videos speak for themselves. The service is excellent, the man is so helpful and kind, you can see that he loves what he does, the place has a family and friends atmosphere. Don't be carried away by the old reviews, you are going to LOVE this place!!!

31/08/2024: We arrived late... around 2.30pm because they moved the ship for us. We stopped because it was open as many close at 2pm. Very kindly, we sat down and ordered. The dish of the day was tagliatelle... but given the time we opted for 2 burgers. Very good, much better than the various MC and Burger King ones. The best burger I've eaten so far. The first reviews are a bit scary but it was the old management. Advised.

09/10/2024: Endroit calme et cool, service sympathique, cuisine appréciée ( sauf le café gourmand pas terrible), conseillé par le Routard donc justifié comme d'habitude. Petit bémol, pas de menu, et pas de vins autre que Corse, ce qui semble habituel ici. Beau moment tout de même.

03/09/2024: as you know, I have written many reviews... and I will write many, unfortunately the desire comes to me only when I have to warn people like me who sometimes find themselves eating in places they don't want to... but which is sometimes done for reasons of state. All this does not make restaurateurs immune from my opinion, who, as I always say, have a task and a duty towards diners, and that is respect for who you are in their restaurant! well that didn't happen today! in a restaurant located in a magnificent place... Algajola, a part of the world that has benefited from nature and an indigenous beauty that only Corsica can grant you. However.. the point is, that certain restaurateurs, before having the benefit of working in such a beautiful place, should prove their culinary and cultural skills! but above all knowing how to demonstrate a little respect for the territory, and for the diners, who ultimately give it a living, but given the poor quality of the food and perhaps the skills of the chef himself". Well... Gentlemen, I'll just say that my culinary experience in this place "Le Padula" was among the worst I've ever had in my life". As I have said several times, my job, for many years, has been to create food to bring joy to those who want to do it... always respecting those who sit at the table and who have believed in you. This evening... tired of seeing so much incompetence... I just paid for everything, simply telling the cashier that the food they served me was Horrible! I forgot about the service...white wine is always served cold and salad creams must not be frozen. Best wishes for the future... because you need it

26/08/2024: Bel endroit avec une belle plage et une vue à l’horizon illimitée. Un plombé immédiat sur une courte distance et une eau claire. Parking gratuit tout le long de la plage . Côté cuisine belle expérience gustative et, un service très correct et agréable. Je recommande. Paiement no cb !

29/08/2024: A part la vue magnifique restaurant médiocre. L apéro à peine servi qu on amène les plats…carafe d eau oubliée. Le vin commandé a mis un temps fou à arriver, hamburgers froids pain mou non toasté, fromage pas fondu car pas chauffé, baba au rhum qui n a de rhum que le nom…donc bourré de sucre car eau sucrée à la place prix les mêmes qu ailleurs mais non justifiés nous n y retournerons pas

23/08/2024: Le site est superbe et la mer peut prendre des tonalités caribéennes. Le rocher de Monte Christo à l’horizon. Service impeccable. La carte n’est pas très longue mais de grande qualité. Jolie étape !
