12/03/2026: If you like meat, this is the place for you! High quality, bio meat cooked on a grill over a wood fire. The choux pastry and piemonte nut dessert was fantastic. They also had an unusual cask beer on offer. Friendly and efficient service.
06/03/2026: Excellent restaurant at the foot of the pedestrian street in the Vauban citadel.
The grilled meat is cooked right in front of you, and the trout is superb.

27/02/2026: We had lunch at Le Rustique with family and friends and were absolutely delighted with the experience. The food was delicious and plentiful, and the welcome was incredibly warm. Restaurants where you feel so welcome with children are rare, but here the owner went above and beyond to make sure everyone was happy. We highly recommend it.

I highly recommend this little restaurant.

The dining area isn't huge and they don't take reservations... You have to come and hope you don't find the "full" sign on the door 😅 otherwise come back later or another day!

15/03/2026: We had a fantastic time at this restaurant during our ski vacation!
We really enjoyed ourselves; the cheese dishes were delicious and the portions were very generous. The owners are incredibly friendly and have a great sense of fun—the atmosphere was amazing, which makes all the difference!

17/03/2026: In my opinion, this is the best dining experience in Serre Chevalier/Briançon. The service was incredibly accommodating from start to finish, and the level of culinary mastery in each dish was clear, beautifully presented and thoughtfully prepared. What truly stood out was the chef personally coming out to help accommodate a meal for a child, which made the experience feel especially warm and personal. An exceptional meal and an unforgettable evening. Will definitely be back and recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a gastronomical experience at its finest.
12/03/2026: We had an excellent dinner at Au plaisir ambre. The food was exciting and perfectly cooked. The service was friendly and efficient and the dining room elegant. Superb value for money. If you plan to dine out in Briancon, you should definitely visit Au plaisir ambre.

23/02/2026: Very welcoming, large room right in the heart of Briançon's old town. Very varied menu.
08/02/2026: Lisa, Lucas, and the whole team are simply delightful. I recently organized a seminar there, and my entire team, as well as myself, were thrilled. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the chalet-style rooms are very cozy, and the food is delicious, carefully prepared, and offers excellent value for money.
I come here regularly for overnight stays, and it's always a real pleasure. I wholeheartedly recommend this place.

13/08/2025: Arrived at 7:15 PM, left at 9:15 PM: one dish. Needless to say, the service was incredibly slow. 15 minutes for an aperitif, we should have left... oh well. The main course arrived, the wine was forgotten, the tasteless dish was swallowed, the wine still hadn't arrived, and then never was. Very mediocre service overall. The atmosphere at the twelve tables (except for the first three served) was one of gloom, dismay, and dejection. My wife's dish was too slow and frozen, so no dessert, no coffee. Glad to have left and walked out into the rain. Avoid (the restaurant, not the rain).
13/08/2025: Tartiflette, this dish is normally simple and effective. Very disappointed. Potatoes barely cooked well. Normally it's greasy and good, here it was more like boiled potatoes, a little cheese and very little bacon which was actually matchsticks 😕service quite slow because supposedly a large table. Didn't see the large table. The owner didn't even ask us if it went well. Too bad.

31/01/2026: The baguettes were basically delicious and fresh, we didn't regret the purchase. However, I have a feeling that there are better choices in the city in terms of price-value ratio or taste. It's definitely worth trying once, but it's not my favorite place.
21/09/2025: A discovery while I was going to the nearby market with my partner. A bakery with excellent pastries!! A tasty, airy, melting brioche!! A crisp sourdough bread with a lovely, pleasant crumb! The wholegrain and grain baguettes also have a very enjoyable, authentic, artisanal taste. The only downside is a slightly alcoholic taste in the chestnut pastries, which deserves a mention. 👍 Otherwise, there are some very nice offerings with quality artisans and a welcome that, despite the crowds, is more than welcome; you are served as you should be! A little bonus: you can even bring your little poodles in your arms! 😇
