12/06/2026: **Getting ripped off at lunchtime 🫒😅** Tried it today at La Verrière in Boulogne. Verdict? A complete rip-off. I tried the chicken and mozzarella croque monsieur for €15.90. Frankly, it was bland and dry. Inside, the chicken tenders were cut so perfectly, down to the millimeter, that the industrial tray was practically opened in a hurry. Zero effort, wasted zucchini, a completely invisible béchamel sauce, and no seasoning whatsoever. The only positive point was the Poilâne bread: a nice gray crumb, nice and crusty, but it doesn't make a meal. To top it all off, the salad is… extra! Add a half-pint of flat beer (obviously from the end of the keg), and you end up with a total of €23.59 for two pieces of bread and three vacuum-packed pieces of chicken. In football jargon, we call that getting ripped off. Price-wise, the rest of the menu is outrageous: beef cheek for €26 (the cheapest cut on the butcher's counter, you have to hand it to them) and sea bream for €27. Then they wonder why customers are abandoning traditional brasseries for fast food… I'm only giving it 2/5 because the staff were okay and the terrace on the main square is quite pleasant for people-watching. You seriously need to rethink your approach, La Verrière. You can't serve mediocre food at the price of a near-Michelin-starred restaurant. It just doesn't work.

07/06/2026: This is a French neighborhood restaurant I absolutely loved. The ambiance was lovely, and the owner and staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. A lovely young lady greeted us and provided attentive, prompt service. Every dish was delicious – a delightful surprise in Paris, especially their sauces, which were perfectly seasoned and never boring, truly sophisticated. Their steak, though it looked rare, was crispy and had absolutely no gamey taste – so delicious! I also loved their IPA beer; the hop aroma was wonderful. And the adorable little dog Nina was a delightful surprise.

30/05/2026: Les Galopins offers brasserie-style cuisine, some dishes of which are an interesting fusion with Thai cuisine. During this dinner, I enjoyed both the prawn ravioli (be warned, the broth is quite spicy (6/10 on my personal scale)) and the Thai-style tartare, which was original, very flavorful (not too spicy: 2/10). For dessert, the raspberry soup was served with a "mystery" scoop (of raspberry) and delicious homemade Chantilly cream. A little less sugar wouldn't have bothered me, though. In short, "Les Galopins" is a good restaurant, with pleasant staff and efficient service. I recommend it without hesitation, suggesting that the team perhaps play some discreet background music (but that's just my opinion...). Total bill (for 2): €76. Starter, main course, and dessert. No cocktails, wine, or coffee. A bit pricey? PS: If it's very hot, ask to be seated on the outdoor patio; you'll be more comfortable there. More comfortable than indoors. And perhaps also quieter.

29/05/2026: I did stop rating reviews for sometime because I realised that they stay for a long time on Google. During the time restaurants change, owners change, chef's change.... And the reviews are no quite relevant anymore. But today I decided to write again about this French restaurant where I had lunch, my favourite Anduette with a glass of 1664 beer. Everything was very good. French business people have their guests the next to me, which should be a recommendation for the place. The bill for what you see was 35 euro.

19/05/2026: This was my second time at this restaurant. Enjoying delicious food in an elegant setting with beautiful music was both pleasant and comfortable. The Wagyu beef was exceptional! Every dish was visually appealing and fragrant. The chef himself provided patient and attentive service. This restaurant deserves to be seen by more people!

02/05/2026: The dining room decor is very minimalist, there are only 16 covers, apparently, soft music playing in the background... A very zen atmosphere. The chef works alone, both in the kitchen and in the dining room, with great care and discretion. Excellent meats, cooked to perfection, a very good wine list, delicious desserts. We had a very pleasant time.
