15/09/2025: A good tourist brasserie in the summer, but a lack of professionalism at the moment, too accustomed to its winter comforts and habits.
It doesn't have the right attitude at all to welcome tourists.
But it's still a good establishment.

Here I am again, strolling through Amboise. This establishment has changed a lot since this winter. A friendly welcome, new food, very modest but very refined. A new atmosphere, very decent, nothing like this winter.
Come and discover it, you won't be disappointed.

08/09/2025: The whole organization needs to be reviewed; the wait is extremely long! Let's not even talk about the quality of the products; it's a disgrace for French gastronomy - what an image for foreigners who come to visit a magnificent place! An excessive price for the quality. There are more than numerous negative comments, but nothing has changed! Is there a manager at this place who is interested in the opinions of their customers?

01/02/2026: We came to eat two dishes, steak tartare, with two drinks and two coffees for €41. The steak wasn't very good; normally it's a nice, rare mince, but this was cheap meat with no taste, and expensive for the price. You're better off making it yourself at home. This is the first time I've been here, and it will be the last.

01/12/2024: Les incontournables friandises d’Amboise pour se faire plaisir entre 2 visites : à emporter ou sur place, tout est bon! Le chocolat chaud maison à l’orange, une tuerie! Les oursons en guimauve, les tartelettes, goûtez-tout!

Serveurs souriants, certes, mais pour la patronne, faudra repasser.
30 mn d attente pour se voir servir une quiche à rechauffer et une assiette de fromages. Achat du caramel beurre salé au comptoir. Insipide. Sans saveur
Repassés plus tard car les enfants voulaient une glace. J'avais envie d en manger une mais...pour les adultes....pas de cornet possible !!!! Allez savoir pourquoi... Ca m'a passé l'envie !
Bref...déception.

07/09/2024: Mycket god pizza och utmärkt vin. Servicen mycket bra. Fina uteplatser på gågatan precis bredvid slottet. Kanske en aning trångt som det kan vara på turistorter.

Slightly bolshy and slow but friendly service, decent food in a nice location.
Enjoy it for what it is, a place to wind away some time, have a beer, a glass of wine or a coffee while watching the world go by.

08/12/2024: Decouverte de cette auberge dans une ambiance médiévale. Les tables sont dressées à l'ancienne et les couverts ne sont pas faciles à utiliser. Q'importe le repas était excellent. Après la découverte des créations de Léonard de Vinci nous avons eu droit au gouter de Noel car nous étions 1 groupe de 100 personnes.
30/10/2024: Excellent déjeuner dans un restaurant très agréable qui a su conserver l'originalité du lieu et qui agrémente la visite du Clos Lucé.
Des mets délicieux et originaux sont servis par un personnel très accueillant.
Je recommande vivement ce restaurant.

20/08/2024: En dehors du coté pratique si vous logez à l’ hôtel, ce restaurant est à éviter : très banal et manque de qualité surtout par rapport au prix: nos deux salades sans sauce ( salade que nous retrouverons flétrie avec les tomates cerises au petit déjeuner) , la saveur des rougets presque absente car trop d’oignons dans le feuilleté, frites congelées..
Et verres à vin très très ébréchés!

28/08/2024: I'm really surprised by the comments, it's so good and inexpensive, I loved the sandwiches and the cakes. There are seats in front of the Clock Tower, it’s adorable.
