18/04/2026: We stayed at the hotel for one night. Upon arrival, there was free parking and a charming garden. The room was standard, in a rather old building, but it did the job. The real surprise was the restaurant and breakfast. After reading the numerous reviews, this definitely influenced our decision to stay here, and we weren't disappointed. The front-of-house staff was superb, full of personality, and extremely friendly. We had a lot of laughs. The kitchen staff also seemed extremely friendly. And the food was flawless. A real treat!

26/03/2026: A very good little restaurant at the foot of the castle. For less than €20, starter + main course + dessert, everything was excellent. The staff were attentive and friendly. A delightful experience.

21/02/2026: The servers were great. I'm giving it 3 stars because the website states gluten-free crepes (made with buckwheat flour). As someone with celiac disease, I asked the server again, and it turns out they're not gluten-free because the crepe maker is also used to cook crepes with wheat flour. We came to this establishment specifically for... Being in the restaurant industry ourselves, we found the process rather uncool!

01/03/2026: A friendly, lively bar, with great service, providing good wine, beer and great snacks (like dry sausage). This is a bar that doesn't just take advantage of it's location directly opposite the Chateau, but one that works hard to please and satisfy its customers. Brilliant! Loved it!

28/02/2026: A very pleasant setting, soft retro Anglo-Saxon music, and a super welcome from the hosts. They gave us good wine recommendations to accompany the lovely charcuterie and cheese board. The charcuterie wasn't fatty, and the local products were excellent. We had a wonderful time together.

22/03/2026: My partner and I went to this restaurant for dinner last night. We don't understand the glowing reviews… we had a terrible meal. The food wasn't good, the cooking was nonexistent (the amuse-bouche was just a wrap). They're clearly focused on presentation. The service was friendly.

20/04/2026: Absolutely lovely meal…wonderful starter of asparagus and pork belly and fantastic bream and vegetables for entree. My husband had lamb shoulder that was so tender! A little bit of a walk from the tourist center but totally worth it!

10/04/2026: This restaurant, located a bit out of the way (but next to our hotel, "Le Blason"), advertises "seasonal cuisine with fresh ingredients." It lives up to its promise, and the food is delicious. We had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The cuisine is perfect: choice ingredients, expertly cooked and seasoned. A few surprises and amuse-bouches punctuate the meal. The service is on par with the food! No waiting, and always with a smile and friendly service.

02/03/2026: Located very close to the Château, we chose this restaurant for a quiet evening and we weren't disappointed. We had a very good meal. We ordered the duck breast and chocolate profiteroles for dessert; it was really delicious and well-prepared. The service was friendly and welcoming. We also appreciated how quiet the restaurant was, perfect for a relaxed conversation without any background noise. A great place to eat in Amboise. Remember to book ahead to be sure of getting a table.
